Pros: 1) The resort location is outstanding 2) There is a private beach, 10 mins walk away from your room 3) The food (buffet spread for lunch and dinner) was great, mutton was particularly very good 4) The service from every staff at the hotel and restaurant was near perfect, can't thank enough everyone at the hotel 5) There are cabs and ricks always standing below the hotel, so taking rides anywhere around the state is very easy

Cons: 1) The hotel is a three star hotel but Booking.Com claims that it is 5-star, that is incorrect information right away 2) The hotel is surely overpriced for being a three star hotel 3) Facilities are quite average, hardly anything to do for my 5 year old kid

Whether because of COVID or not...don't know but each interaction with staff there seemed to be some expectation of tips. After a point became a little tough to constantly work with that. I prefer to tip on overall stay at the end to give everyone involved a part. This is just my opinion. The only other thing was that the pool side bar never really had staff during the day. We were constantly waiting to get a few items ordered.

One of the standout features of the hotel is its fantastic location, as it is situated right on the beach. Having direct access to the beach made my stay even more enjoyable, and I truly appreciated the beautiful views and the convenience of being so close to the water.

However, there were a few aspects of my stay that were less than ideal. One of the disappointments was the delayed pool access in the morning. Unfortunately, the cleaning process took longer than expected, and as a result, guests were unable to use the pool during the morning hours. It would have been more convenient if the cleaning could have been completed on time, allowing guests to enjoy the pool early in the day.  I had lunch at the hotel's Samudra restaurant, and I have to say that the service was disappointingly slow. One aspect that stood out during my stay was the expensive food prices. While I understand that pricing can vary from one establishment to another, I found the cost of the food at Mayfair Waves Puri to be quite high. 

Room decor. Food taste. Polite staff. Cleanliness. Attentive housekeeping service. beautiful landscaping in garden and pool area. Clean private beach.

Staff communications between booking desk, headquarters telephone teams, waves hotel staff were not aligned. Very frustrating experience during check in.

From the moment we entered Mayfair waves we were treated with great hospitality. We had a very warm reception... Our room was really beautiful and had a great view of the sea... All the hotel staff were very cordial and took very good care of us during our stay... A special appreciation from us to the restaurant staff , namely Ashok, Raju, Chakradhar, Bharti, Barkat and Prasanta... It was really a pleasure staying in Mayfair waves and we would be delighted to stay there the next time we visit Puri .⛵🌊⛵ Best wishes to all of you 😇⭐⭐❣️⭐⭐😇

Access to the private beach. The location from Jagannath temple. Lot of taxis and Auto at the hotel. Easy to reach main market in 7 mins.

It should have 3pm checkin and 12 noon checkout with extension for a couple of hours. We had to request a lot and got one room extended finally.

Hotel decor and aesthetics. Cleanliness and food options at Samudra. Most staffs were courteous and polite.

We had an early check in request at extra half day board charges. Despite multiple email and phone conversation and confirmation 1 week prior to booking, when we arrived, we were given a wrong room. We had to keep insisting on multiple levels of intervention in order to resolve it. It showed clear lack of communications between reception staff, hotel reservation email team etc. This made the check in process very disappointing and unpleasant.

Location is great. Staff go out of the way to provide excellent service. Priya at the front office and service staff like Pinto , Amar and Sukanta go out of the at to serve you. Buffet breakfast was good.

Buffet dinner was pathetic.

Location is the best part of this property. Right in front of the beach. Puri beaches are among the best in India. Breakfast menu is elaborate and tasty. Options for dinner are limited to one restaurant with buffet only. However poolside cafe serves some wonderful snacks in evening. Staff is helpful and friendly. Along with MAYFAIR Heritage, it is a good place to stay in Puri. I would like to visit again.

I feel price is a bit costlier.

Staff's responsiveness, the food was good, extremely good assistance, private beach area and garden was nice and quaint. Small property and beautifully decorated. Excellent staff and service.

I received the rooms a little late after 30-40mins waiting time even though I reached 1.5hrs after hotel's check in time. And the housekeeping staff had forgotten to place few amenities like moisturizers etc in bathroom. But I understand that due to the rush, guests were checking out late and additional sanitization delayed the same. And the front desk was extremely polite at acknowledging and accepting the grievance. So I appreciate the staff a lot.
