This is the most magical one-of-kind place in the world. A peaceful oasis in nature. Watch black monkeys munching on leaves in the trees in front of your bungalow or above you in the trees as you laze in a hammock on the beach in the late afternoon breeze. Dine at the stylish open-plan restaurant with a family of gentle deer grazing nearby. And snorkel in coral gardens nearby where the colours of the coral amaze and mingle with fish of every hue- I even saw turtles, huge baracuda, giant hump head parrot fish, massive bartfish, colourful starfish and more. The bungalows are lovely- most perched a little way back from the beach on a rise under the shade of big trees. AC, fan, day beds on the private terrace. And housekeeping staff even come to turn down the big comfy bed and safely close the mosquito net every evening. The staff are amazing- well trained, super attentive, discrete, polite, and eager to make your stay even more memorable than the natural locations offers. They go out of their way to greet and to ensure your stay is the best it can be. Terima kasih to the re eption staff, the restaurant staff, the chefs, the housekeepers, the gardeners, the handy man, the sevurity guards, and the boatmen. The hike to the Park Ranger’s post, where I could see the endangered Bali starling and learn about the breeding program for re iving the population, was great. Lots of flora and fauna. However, one of the favourite parts of my stay- even the best - was the Blue Corner Dive Shop that is located at the land end of the amazing pier (I used to sit out on the pier to catch the breeze and look at the cute batfish slowly dancing around beneath). The dive masters, both called Putuh, were fabulous, as were all of the staff. Very professional and went above and beyond to put guests at ease, share information, and ensure everyone had the best time, especially when visiting nearby Menjangan Island marine reserve. They were never too busy for a friendly chat.

Exceptional location, very peacefull and quiet. Incredible snorkling spots around @ 20min boat in cristal clear water. Very professional staff and helpful. Widelife in the hotel premises. Complementary Afternoon tea/snack @ the front beach restaurant Well preserved area and very integrated hotel, despite having complete facilities for such rated hotel (you actually don't see the hotel from the boat before really arriving at the hotel pier)

Our stay was too short! Shall enable guests to go around and outside the hotel area (at least for the coastal trails) without any guided payable tour (restrictions due to National Park regulation)

This hotel is a bit like entering one of those idilic screensavers on your computer. The waters are turquoise, the rooms are spacey, beds super comfy, breakfast is great, staff is friendly. Really can't say anything bad about this place, and it is great value for money. Go try it!

I suggest solar powered boats, as it is such a small boat ride to get to the hotel, it would be much more eco friendly. Also, make surf suits available for snorkeling as there are a few jellyfish in the ocean, which not being dangerous at all, can be a bit painfull.

Only accessible by boat, this small paradise was very nice for relaxing and sight seeing in West Bali National Park. It is a small bungalow resort where monkeys / deer's would travel through throughout the day. Directly from the resort you can step into the sea and do some snorkeling. From the resort you can also go snorkeling to Menjangan which was really beautiful. The bungalows were very nice and clean, staff was friendly, it was just great!

Because you are in a resort and cannot go off the island in the night (unless you pay, there are fixed times when the boat travels which are free) you are restricted to only the food they provide at the restaurant. Prices are OK, but still. Definitely recommend people to bring some chips, snacks and drinks with them, naturally there isn't a supermarket. Also note, that every time you leave the resort by boat and you would re-enter, you would have to pay the entrance fee of the West Bali National Park, since the resort is IN the park itself. However, it is also unlikely that you would leave the park during your visit, but nonetheless something to keep in mind.

Amazing place, peaceful and quiet, in midst of wildlife, great snorkeling right off the pier. Nice to dip into pool afterwards! Comfortable and large beds with mosquito nets. Bathroom spacious. Watch monkeys from outdoor shower... Staff is extremely friendly, helpful and sweet - they surprised me with a birthday cake even though we hadn't told them about it (must have seen date in passport!). When we had trouble with AC, they came right away and fixed it. Transport with boat to hotel and back also worked impeccably - call in advance to make sure boat times are correct. Phone# on booking.com is wrong, check google for correct number. We don't agree with negative criticism of restaurant, food was good, different special every day, barbeque night was excellent. Prices are a bit high for Bali, true, but still incredibly cheap compared with back home. Didn't take a massage or any of the tours (due to negative criticism here) but a privately organized snorkeling trip to the island, well worth it. There was very little plastic in the ocean fortunately.

You are in a jungle. There will be bugs (though much less than expected) and ants and geckos and the occasional monkey turd. If you can't deal with that, don't go. Pool closes at 7pm, that's too early!

Beautiful resort in the most incredible setting. At the property alone, we saw black monkeys, grey monkeys, deer, hog, squirrels and kingfishers. The rooms and facilities are fantastic, the staff are exceptional and so kind, and the views are breathtaking. Rooms are cleaned and prepared twice a day. You can snorkel directly off the pier in front of the property, there is also magical scuba diving as well just a 10 min boat ride away. We did a trek into the National park with a lovely guide who helped us spot birds and other wildlife. The restaurant serves a great food and the staff are absolutely fantastic. The afternoon tea was a nice bonus, with a different Indonesian dessert prepared each day. We had truly the most wonderful time and will be back to visit again.

A little piece of paradise, its got a safari vibe. The rooms are big with nice bathrooms, super comfy beds and great views. Rooms get cleaned twice a day! Lots of wildlife running about, grey monkeys, black monkeys and friendly deer constantly roam the area. You can snorkel straight of the beach for free. Lots of activities to choose from, snorkelling/scuba diving on another island, bike rides, trekking, sea kayaking. The restaurant serves up a good selection of food and drinks. All the staff are really nice, I was really impressed by Susi as her service was impeccable 👌 It's a little piece of paradise. Was sad to leave.

If you want to be off the beaten track, far away from TV, shops, other people and want to immerse yourself in nature and silence in an unpretentious and natural way; this is for you. The rooms with their huge and comfy beds look into the forest, the beach is a 3min walk away. A stunning old wooden pier makes for great sunrise and fish-watching. The restaurant serves good quality meals al day long and for the rest; just enjoy one of the last places on earth that is this- remote, quiet, still and at peace with itself. Agang was a wonderful host, Pudu a magnificent walking guide.

I would have loved a kettle in my room for morning tea but all else was wonderful.

it was such a magical stay! perfect 4 nights with our 2 year old twins! the staff was so kind and accommodating: everyone was super sweet to our children (Especially Ariani, the restaurant staff and Leah). We got a Nanny (Nanda) to look after the kids, while we went snorkeling and to the spa and that worked out perfectly: my children were hugging her after the 2 days and totally loved her. Even for a (well traveled) city mouse like me, it felt amazing to be in the middle of the nature, still with all comfort. If you’re hesitating because of the children or wilderness, just go! the water is so gorgeous, lots of snorkeling possibilities right at the hotel and in the day tour to menjangan! magical!! thanks to everyone for making us feel like home, in paradise.

would be great to have a kids-club / room or playground. but this didn’t stop our children from having a great time playing with the sand at the beach and collecting shells!

The staff are amazing.. the snorkeling is world class. I would recommend this resort/location to people who want to try something different to the "usual" Bali. There are no barking dogs nor roosters, the resort villas have no TV and no tea/coffee making facilities (but do have a small fridge). Two different species of monkeys roam the grounds every day and the Deer come in during the afternoon, usually to spend sunset on the beach next to the restaurant. Rooms are tendered to twice a day, in the afternoons they return to turn down the bed and set the mosquito net (the mosquito net is not for mosquitos (I didn't see a single one), it's apparently to stop mice getting into the bed). There is a dive shop on site and a day Spa. At the time of writing this the diving was AUD$150 per person (including hire gear) a 1 hour massage was AUD$30.

Other guests' children screaming and splashing in the pool. It is disappointing that you cannot sleep with the door open and AC off (monkeys can come into rooms)
