quite huge spacious room !! has Tea maker, hair drier, even a grill ! reading table, a three seater sofa, a wardrobe, nice floor, clean curtain ! big wall Tv! quite huge lobby clean and charmingly lighted and decorated ! could not imagine how all these could be accommodated with this little rent of only 20 Canadian dollars today ! it’s quite amazing !!

The room is big, the location is in a strategic area, and the staff are nice.

When I came, the floor was dirty. They only give towels without soap or shampoo. Actually, I like the hotel because of the location and the large rooms, but they don't maintain the rooms. Because all the stuff is old, like the bed cover, which is not white anymore and has stains. The wall is also dirty. I also didn't get a cabinet to put our clothes in.

The hotel is in a good location, close to public transport which is a key feature in Jakarta. The room was nice and spacious, the bed was comfortable. I liked the room very much.

The place is a bit hard to find, because the name written in Booking is different than the name written on the hotel (Townhouse Oak). While the room was double bed, for two people (and we were two) we only got one towel, one toothbrush, one glass, etc. So like if it was only one person staying. The bathroom was quite disapponting too. The shower curtain had fungus on it, and the toilet was broken, so every time I flushed it its contents were leaking in the back. So the bathroom looked clean at first but in reality it was not.

Friendly staff. The roving robots bringing you your gojek deliveries to you doorstep adds to its interest factor.

Bathrooms could have been better cleaned abs insulated against roaches. They could provide better WiFi connectivity as it cost that much in Jakarta.

Location: 8 out of 10. Main road, easy to find transportation. Minus: if you get lower floor (like, 2nd) be prepared for the noise of traffic. Price: very attractive (for the photos shown in booking.com) Staff: 7.5 out of 10. The receptionist is cooperative when I requested a change of room (more about this later). The housekeeping staff is also quite accommodating when I requested a change of bedsheets and pillowcases at 8.30 PM. Lobby is pretty bright. Hotel has parking space in front (not very large tho). They requested a deposit at check-in, returned at check-out.

Cleaning standards: (grimace) need improvements. The first room I got smelled like it hasn't been opened in more than a week. The window is small, covered by a curtain and hidden behind the TV. I hate it. It is not at all like the Deluxe Double room photo. I requested a change of room and got another on the same floor (2nd). I asked for higher floor but I was told there wasn't any available. The second room is more like the photo, and the smell was much better. Except someone forgot to clean it. There were dust and hairs on the floor. The were several strands of hair over the bed cover and the pillows. I went down to the receptionist and requested a change of bedsheets and pillows. The housekeeping staff came and changed the sheets. He was pretty nice and offered to clean more but I was tired, hungry, and have to go up at 6 the next day. So I thanked him and said I'll manage. The bathroom was pretty much like it was in the photo. The towel shown in the bathroom photo was confusing tho, because I'm pretty sure somewhere in the description (and reviews) it was mentioned that this hotel does not provide towels (but there's toothbrush). Fortunately I brought my own. Toilet bowl and washbasin is clean, the floor is, too, despite the stubborn yellow-ish water stain (it's the water in Jakarta, you left the puddle in your bathroom for too long and the stain stay forever). PS. That elevator needs more cleaning. The trashcan in my room next to the table, too. Perhaps once in a while with brush and soap.

At first our flight got delayed and we arrived in jakarta 10 pm we alr informed we will arrived at 8pm before but then the staff informed us that our room was cancelled but booking in the app still on , i have to rebook again for extra 100k difference from the previous booking , and our room was hot the ac is not cold , but the day after they manage to change our room.
