Da'Kayu is a unique place to stay in. The views are spectacular. You are truly connected to nature in this special little place. The two cottages are designed to fit in with the surroundings, and are very comfortable. I had the cottage looking over the rice paddies, and easily sat and stared out onto the fields. So peaceful. The breakfast was simple but delicious, and it was great to be able to grab a beer from the little bar and go and watch the sunset. However, the real star is the owner, Donie. He is such a charismatic, helpful and intelligent man. Donie always had a smile on his face, and is so happy. He is so passionate about his village, his people and the environment. He would take time to chat with you, and help in any way he could. Da'Kayu is a very special place with a very special owner.

The place is nice but the best part is the owner 🤩 Donnie is super nice guy who is very helpful and always available. His little homestay is very cozy with a nice view over a local rice field. The room and bathroom were clean. Good food in the evening and a lovely small breakfast in the morning.

-The place is a bit too far from Munduk to walk to a restaurant. But with a scooter no problem since easily reachable in 5 minutes. Donnie even gave us one for free since we just went to the restaurant. - As most of these cabinets, there is no soundproofing. But it was rather quiet when we were there so as well no big issue.

Doni was the best host ever here in Bali. He made us feel so welcomed, told us so much about Balinese culture and was there to always help us when we needed. The homestay itself was also amazing, it literally feels like you’re in the eat pray love movie. It has a beautiful rice field in front and it’s very cozy and relaxing. it was also very clean and nice, and I must also say Doni is a great cook and the food there is amazing. you should definitely book this place to have an amazing experience in munduk! you will not regret it. thank you so much for making our stay memorable Doni!

everything was perfect

Very friendly staff, always available to help. The host sent us suggestions for attractions to visit/restaurants to go to/ATMs, which were very helpful. Motorbike rental. Transfer from the hotel to various points on the island. The bathroom opens upwards, which provides an interesting experience. Nice spot to see the sunset.

Breakfast with little variety. The route has little lighting until you reach the accommodation.

The homestay is located in a quite area, one hour walk from the center of Munduk, so you should ask for renting the Scooter of the homestay. The bungalow is spacy, the bed is comftable and we had a great view from our little terrace. The coffee was the best we had so far in Java and Bali. The owner, Doni, ist really friendly and relaxed. He guided us around the village and showed us his family agriculture business and his new glamping project. We really enjoyed the little Walking Tour and would recommend staying in Da'Kayu.

The breakfast could have been a little bit better (for example some fruits aside) but, as I saib before, coffee was great.

Hidden in a quite location next to a beautiful rice field. A small and intimate homestay with a great host! Thank you for Doni who was helpful and made us the most delicious meals for dinner and breakfast. We truly appreciated his kindness and warm welcome as well as the good discussions. Definitely ask for the room that has the rice field view!

Everything was perfect for our short one night stay.

Doni did a wonderful job making our 1 week stay in Munduk/gobleng worthwhile. best stay we have been so far. also nicest village, clean, no harassment by sales people or taxi drivers and very cool weather by Bali standards. cabins are rustic and very comfortable. waterfall hike and rice field hikes here are worthwhile. highly recommend.

very nice homestay near munduk. it is a little outside, right in front of a rice field. doni, the owner, took me to some waterfalls and we also had a short walk in the forest. he also showed me the nearby coffee factory where we had a nice talk with the owner. you can also walk across the rice fields by yourself. it was a very nice stay thats why i stayed one night longer. i also had dinner there which was very tasty. if you like to see „real“ bali and aren‘t afraid to stay at a homestay without a safe, this is your place to be!

Great villa with great view but the real highlight here is your host Doni! He is taking care of you from the beginning when you can't find your way (like me :D), he cooks your dinner (if you want) and he even brings you to your next destination (if you need it)! Ask him anything about Bali and he will happily tell you all his stories! Stay here and you will get an authentic Balinese experience! Matur Suksma, Doni!

The staff was super friendly and helpful. They even took us to a walk to their rice fields and showed us around the area that we were staying which was so beautiful! We couldn't see it that good without him! The place was very beautiful and the view from the room amazing. Super clean and nicely decorated!

I liked everything! Tip: take some warm clothes with you because especially at night it gets cold even in the room! So you will need them.
