Amazing location, food and staff

We had a rat in our room on 1st night and the pool was out of use for maintenance.

Everything about this place is excellent, absolutely nothing to complain about as staff go out of their way to make everything possible for your comfort and nothing is too much trouble.

Leaving. First time ever sat in front of open fireplace in Bali and shared 2 bottles of Two Islands Red followed by a couple of best espresso martini's, we were only two in restaurant and staff didn't mind staying to take us down in gondola to our forest cabin which was perfect for our 2 night stay. Beautiful clean modern comfortable and best hot water with strong water pressure shower. Beautiful decor this place is exceptional in every aspect and I can't understand why we only had 4 others there first night and only 2 others on 2nd night.

The villas are absolutely gorgeous - set amongst the jungles with amazing views from the floating villa. It was spotlessly clean, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The bar/restaurant and pool are breathtakingly beautiful. I also went on a jungle trek and canoeing experience that was amazing.

My only recommendation is that you stay for a max of 3 nights. It is pretty quiet around Munduk, we found that 3 nights was plenty to get the full experience. Prices for food/massages are significantly higher than Ubud or any other major areas but it felt worth it.

Heaven is the best description of this oasis in the rain forest. Remote and a long journey to get there, but well worth it. The staff were amazing, supper efficient and friendly. The floating villa was amazing, all possible expectations were met. The breakfast was also excellent with various choices. We also had a ‘Hibachi’ experience which was amazing.

Jacuzzi was broken on first arrival, but engineers were called immediately and it was fixed within 15 mins of reporting it. The pool is small and cold but fantastic as it was a suspended infinity pool. Swimming to the glass edges was scarey.

The hospitality on arrival and throughout our stay was incredible. our villa room was amazing with breathtaking views over the mountains. The staff could not have been more accommodating and attentive. We had a great meal in the restaurant with a professional and very friendly Habachi chef (I believe his name was Fabri). We also had the privilege of a couples massage (would highly recommend). Overall the stay was perfection, from room, to staff and facilities.

Just be aware it’s not the easiest to reach (due to the steep roads) but we’ll worth the drive.

Gorgeous location - on a clear day, you can see all the way down to the north coast, across the forest treetops - and the views from the little pool are just jaw-dropping. Very friendly, helpful staff at front of house and in the restaurant.

Our room smelled a little damp (probably par for the course in a tropical forest) and it would be better if they didn’t charge for filtered water in the restaurant.

Beautiful property in a quiet environment. Clean Spacious room with comfortable bed. Staff were amazing and they go the extra mile to make our stay enjoyable: always smiling and willing to lend a helping hand. Breakfast was good and options given to have it in the room or the restaurant. The staff even prepared breakfast for us at 4am on the day we went for sunrise dolphin watching. This is really an amazing experience which I have not encountered before.

Nothing

Being in Munduk, this hotel is a bit out of the way, but the spectacular mountain views and luxury tree-house feel of the "floating villa" room we stayed was truly special. Very highly recommended!

The restaurant was just OK. Had a standard fare of Indonesian and Western meals typically found in Bali, but nothing to write home about, though it was probably good for Munduk. (The view from the restaurant was really great though, and I also appreciated the friendly and helpful service.)

An incredible setting - pretty unique. Great á la carte breakfast. We also had a dinner there - my pizza was very good and reasonably priced. My partner complained that the duck was "too meaty". Which is a way of saying that it wasn't local. We stayed in one of the cabins which was fine but for people with more cash to splash, the floating villas should not be missed. We were shown around one by the friendly staff.

I can't really think of anything to knock.
