It is a nice hotel with stunning view of the sea and sunrise. The food was good, stuff very nice and helpful. They arrange also transfer from boat and also 2 days of visit the island. Ask to have driver Wina, he is a priest that speak English very good and know to give you information about history, island. The other drivers do not speak too good English and do not know to give you information. Also we took from them a snorkeling trip, but snorkeling has to be combined with east part of island. If you combine with west part of island like they are recomanding, you will not have enough time to visit everything.

The Sagara is a very cute place to stay, it's small and quiet. The view from the room is outstanding and you hear nothing but the sound of the ocean. The room is small but comfortable and stylish, the bed was very comfortable. Water from the shower is salty but doesn't really matter. The location is off the beaten path and it's not so easy to get up the broken steep road with a scooter. There are also not really any restaurants or shops close by, so you'll definitely need a scooter to go somewhere. We can recommend the beach club Cactus, just a 10 minute drive away. The team is amazing, very friendly and attentive, they are always around and really care. They even arranged very last minute their taxi for us, which was very comfortable with a fair rate and friendly driver, called Dek Tux. Breakfast was good but due to the really not good sweet packaged juice and the coffee it could have been even better. The food was very good. We also had dinner here once. The Sagara is a perfect getaway place to relax away from the crowd. Good value for the money. We would definitely stay here again.

Two things I would kindly ask the management to change: please don't offer plastic straws and bottles, better serve the coke with a glass and offer drinking water in glass bottles. Maybe even free refills from a big can? We felt quite bad to have the bin full of small plastic bottles.

Sagara Penida was our best stay of the trip. With the beautiful sound of waves and the view of infinite ocean, the hotel has such relaxing vibes that you would not want to leave the place! The hotel is very charming and has the best sea views, even from the room. It had everything we needed including heaps of privacy and quiet location. The staff is very attentive. They provided the best towels and robes out of all our stays LOL! The amenities were great, but sadly the hot tub did not work (the water was not heated). In food, a couple of fish dish were excellent, so was the beef burger and their fried banana dessert, which I could not have enough of!

The location was great with outstanding views. The rooms are beautiful and the staff were very friendly. The breakfast was very good. It is very good value for money.

The bar was not open most of the time, getting towels daily was a problem - they would take the towels and not replace them - they did give us pool towels instead which was fine. The room had a terrible smell in the bathroom from the drain - we solved this by placing a plastic bag full of water inside the provided shower cap and placed over the drain - solved the the problem.

This property is exactly in front of ocean with excellent sun rise view. We booked a family room which also had an attic and we loves the setup! The dining area also offers exceptional view of ocean. The staffs are really nice and food was also very good. Although some might find food options to be limited for a longer stay. We will definitely stay here again if we visit Nusa Penida in future..

We stayed for one night and we found it a bit challenging to keep things in the room as it did not have any shelf or cupboard inside. People with longer stay might find it a bit more challenging. But not a big showstopper.

The view was totally worth the amount for the deluxe rooms. Breakfast was also good.

The deluxe rooms block the view for the family rooms. That was the only disappointment.

EVERYTHING. The staff are so organised, from organising our car to and from the port, scooters, telling us about what’s going on in the area/ fun things to do while on the island. The staff invited us to chill with them and we had fun for hours. After coming back on the scooters at night when it was very dark Gus would be outside and making sure we got in safe. literally can not fault this place. Room, pool, amenities, food, balcony, view everything is literally beautiful. we are so thankful for the team at Sagara. We will be back no doubt. We met some friends for life!

As soon as we arrived we were impressed by the location: it's a very calm area facing the ocean, hence it's a perfect place to relax and chill. In general everything was perfect: from the arrival and the kindness of the staff to welcome us, to the rooms which were very clean and very big and to the amazing view of the swimming pool/jacuzzi and the ocean. The breakfast was also very good and had different options, very much recommended and I would come back! :)

Amazing views, the staff is very friendly and helpful. Gus (the manager) is very thoughtful, accommodating and is always happy to help. The staff and service is definitely the biggest highlight of this place.

Unsure whether this is an issue with the property or the water system in that area, but the water has a very unpleasant smell and we had to brush out teeth with bottled water. The property was clean, but it can be improved in areas such as the shower and swimming pool.

Gus was the perfect host who anticipated our every need. He was friendly and eager to please. We were given a free ride to a nearby restaurant whenever we needed as the restaurant had not yet opened at the accommodation. Gus even gave us a grilled baby tuna he caught the first night we arrived. Our breakfast was served just the way we like it. The room was clean and comfortable, and we appreciated the sound of the sea lulling us to sleep. The pool was great.

The bathroom door needs fixing, and the water for showering was a little salty.
