property is great. be careful with frogs. in the rainy weather they can make such noises, that will never let you sleep.

villas are great, but you have to change air conditioners. they are old, noisy and broken. kitchen is very poor. don’t recommend.

The hotel was clean, organized, and friendly staff. There was someone always at the front desk when needed assistance. I would stay at Tamantara again when I come to Bali!

the location was great. wasn’t too far to walk down to the Main Street of town. The staff were amazing and it was such great value for money

the pool didn’t see much sun hit it. That was not the fault of the hotel, just didn’t get to sit much time in the sun

I stayed in a villa with private pool. The rooms and the pool were sparkling clean, staff were really attentive and helped us throughout our stay. We used the laundry service which was prompty returned to us under 24 hours, the staff assisted us with renting a bike and with finding transport services for day tours, etc. Would highly recommend this hotel and stay here again

Nothing. We had a minor mishap when a big wood spider decided to visit us in the middle of the night (fairly normal thing to happen given we had a beautiful pool surrounded by plants), but as soon as we informed the staff, they came to our rescue and checked the rooms, and ensured that the crawly creepy was out of the room.

Great location, fairly close to the center of Ubud, especially if you rent a scooter. The staff are extremely friendly and very helpful! The room was clean and very nice.

Street noise was noticeable from our room, located upstairs above the lobby. If you are a light sleeper, you should ask for a villa in the back of the property. Also the pool area is ‘shared’ with other rooms and not very large of an area, so we decided not to use the pool.

At The Tamantara we had a two bedroom Villa for 4 nights and it was perfect. The ambience is great and the open kitchen provided a wonderful room for family time and we always had a good view of the pool when the kids were swimming. Kitchen and rooms are connected with the patio around the pool. The entire staff was so friendly and helpful, and we truly regretted not staying longer and do hope to go back.

Great place, quiet area although close to centre of Ubud. Walking distance to Ubud life if you don't have small kids.

We didn't realise that the family villa does not have ensuite rooms. So if kids are very small this is not optimal as you have to go outside (where the private pool is) to walk between the bedrooms. So we had to stay one parent with each kid in each room to be in contact with the kids at night.

It was a nice hotel just a few minutes outside of Ubud center. They were serving breakfast in the small villa we have booked which was good value for money. Breakfast was simple, not much, but tasty.

They seem to have a problem with humidity, as you can smell a little "mould" in the room and there was a water damage on the wall which was not fixed. Breakfast was a little small/ little choice. The pillows were uncomfy and too high.

i really liked it all… location close to Ubud central, yet more peaceful setting. Walking distance. The hotel is very clean, nicely decored, hmm the chef is great. Breakfast was superb. Abd the girls-staff Devi, Sakde, Dwi are so joyfully helpful, caring to detail. I will remember mostly them. I wish to return and visit this little hotel, “home away from home”. Very good price for value!!!

We had a lovely stay at Tamantara! The villa was very comfortable and clean and the open space kitchen was perfect for having our breakfast in front of the pool! Staff were very welcoming and helpful, we had breakfast included and they offered to pack it in boxes for us to take away on our tour because we left very early in the morning. We were also able to leave our suitcases at the lobby before check in and after check out which was great!
