The facade is misleading. Once you enter the premises you are surprised at how big and spacious the place is. Bonus - it is built in traditional Indonesian style. Our room overlooked the tropical forest. It was spacious, staff were gracious and helpful. The owners live at the place and are willing to arrange to multiple excursions. Didn't get to use their massage center but the location is spectacular. Very clean and their staff would immediately resolve issues. It included breakfast and that was a great bonus. Daughter fell ill and they called the Emergency Care who came and spent 2-3 hours with my daughter ensuring she fell well before they left. They examined, took blood and stool samples and gave her IV drip and medicines for 5 days. The emergency care team's lab assistant came quickly to pick up the samples and run the tests. Everything done professionally and competently by the female team of doctor and nurse. Breakfast is sumptuous

Booking excursions or massages was more expensive than walking a few minutes into town and booking from others.

We loved the homely feel and traditional Balinese architecture of Ketut’s. The staff were attentive and made us feel welcome. The room was spacious with good air con. The breakfast was tasty ( as was all the food we ate there) with several choices. We booked all our activities through reception - really enjoyed the cooking class. The banquet dinner, which included information on Balinese traditions was excellent. Short walk from the centre of Ubud and easy to get a Grab for longer distances.

Just a couple of minor things. The safe was broken so we had to use the key, which was a bit stressful as we didn’t want to lose it and not be able to open it. The two chairs in our room had a plastic covering which made them too sweaty to sit on.

This place is an hidden gem in the heart of Ubud. Seeing it from the street you’ll never think what a paradise it is. It has lots of stairs true, but where they take you will leave you breathless. Every single view is amazing; some faces the jungle and others the pool or the pond with typical fishes. The only things you’ll hear could be the sounds of animals or the water, but no noises from the street at all. In just 10 minutes you arrive near the Ubud Palace, and you can even take the shortcut through the art market! Staff here is incredibly generous and kind, always with a smile and ready to help me with every request I had. Very good massage service and also laundry service super fast and cheap! I tried every single breakfast they had on the menu, loved the Balinese one; portions are good to not waste food. Loved everything, highly recommended!

The owner and staff were exceptionally kind, friendly and helpful. My room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good with a variety of options. I loved it all but especially the papaya juice! The lunch and dinner menus offer delicious home-style meals in either of the two dining rooms or in-room - I sampled many. The grounds and pool were constantly maintained. Security was very good. It was a very beautiful place with lush tropical gardens throughout adding privacy for guests.

While there was a table and comfortable chairs on my porch, it would have been really nice to have a lounge chair in the room.

location is perfect, the nature, garden is breathtaking, the staff is helpful kind and friendly, very punctual. food is good and enough portion, clean tidy garden and swimmingpool, everything is the same or better in live than the pictures on booking.com, traditional enteriors interiors, lots of wood furnitures. very good value for money

in 8 night the bedsheet did not changed,(towels were changed every day) ,there is no fridge in the room, there were massive limescale on the sink, plastic lavatory seat could be changed but it doesnt matter too much during our stay

It's a hidden paradise. Every bungalow has it's own privacy, so many plants, the pool is great for swimming and also for kids to play in shallows. The pool is in perfect position so that you are not in exposed to the sun from lunch until night. They also offer massages in the facility and you get a perfect experience with gratis sounds from the jungle. It was magical.

The staff were friendly but on slow motion :D Just have in mind to always calculate 10-15min more (than it is expected) for everything you ask them :D And the beds were squeking. Otherwise, very nice stay with really a few little things to improve.

A beautiful little oasis amid the craziness of Ubud! Location was perfect - just outside of the main Ubud drag so it felt very peaceful, but close enough so it was within walking distance. Charming, smiley and accommodating staff, very clean and well maintained.

The only thing I disliked was the lack of drinking water. We were given one small plastic bottle of water per day, if we wanted more we had to buy additional bottles. A crazy use of plastic and it’s a real shame. This place could really benefit from a water filter where you are able to refill your own water bottle as you please.

Excellent location, beautiful buildings and gardens, and a fantastic room (we opted for the deluxe suite type room - #13 - incredible!). Ketut and his extended family live within the compound in their own separate quarters - a very traditional Balinese way of living. The buildings are beautiful, with ornate carvings, and traditional style - well kept and maintained. The whole complex is built descending towards the neaby river ravine. There are quite a few stairs if you stay in one of the deluxe ravine-facing rooms - so keep this in mind. Lovely, helpful, welcoming staff - Ketut performs in the Sunday and Thursday night Kecak dance, which is performed in a temple about 200m down the road from the accommodation - he's very proud of his accommdation and local village - and it shows. Overall, a lovely experience.

Breakfast was included - it was simple, but adequate - not a negative, just managing expectations.

We really liked Ketut's.The atmosphere once you walked through the gate, was like a different world so peaceful you felt that true essence of Ubud.The staff are so accommodating they cater for all your needs to the finest details, day trips, transport you just have to ask, nothing is a problem.The pool is great so refreshing after walking the streets of Ubud.So many hidden treasures in the grounds of Ketut's so much effort has been put in to make your stay more pleasurable.The room is quite comfortable plenty of room nice balcony to soak up the atmosphere.Breakfast overlooking the pool was a nice touch.The food was plentiful and of good quality.I would highly recommend Ketut's Place Bed and Breakfast.The positives outweigh the negatives.

No fridge in room, shower not that great.Not as close to town centre as thought.

Not to be confused with Ketut’s Place Villas, Ketut’s Place Bed and Breakfast is Ketut’s traditional Balinese family home where he still currently resides. We met his son and grandchildren, and were welcomed very warmly by his staff. Everything we needed were taken care of with great efficiency by the reception staff: from Kecak dance tickets, warung recommendations, day trips, fast boat tickets, and massages. Loved the location, the breakfast, the traditional architecture that immediately transports you, the river behind the accommodation, the easy access to good value massages, and of course the hospitality.

Nothing, would stay here again over a hotel.
