The room was really nice and spacious, the staff were all so so friendly! Very useful having a shuttle bus into Ubud as was too far out to walk- would have been nice if it was more regular and ran later (once an hour up to 9pm) but taxis were cheap enough if we missed one!

The door to our balcony didn’t close properly meaning that our room was very loud and we had a lot of bugs coming in. We were close to the restaurant and got woken up early every day. On the first evening there was some sort of loud music playing which went on until 12am. We only found out on the last day that as guests we could use the jacuzzi in the spa- would have been useful to be told when we arrived so we could actually use it. The first two mornings we had a buffet breakfast which wasn’t very nice compared to an a la carte menu on the third morning which was so much nicer. We understand that a buffet breakfast was used on the first couple of days because there was a large group also staying but would have been great if this didn’t negatively impact our stay.

My boyfriend and I booked The Udaya for our birthday trip—every interaction from booking to check out was lovely. Upon booking, I was contacted via booking.com and whatsapp to confirm arrival times. The resort is 10 minutes drive from Ubud Palace/Ubud Centre, which is easily reached by their free shuttle that departs at the top of the hour. The shuttle arrives promptly at Ubud Centre at 10 minutes after the hour, and guests can catch the shuttle back to the resort on its way back up the hill. The Udaya is stunning, beautifully landscaped and cared for by its kind staff. The main pool area is beautiful and quiet—there are plenty of loungers, as well as round cabana lounges and a fire pit on the way up to the restaurant. The grounds are covered in greenery and exotic flowers, as well as having a beautiful koi pond. There are wild animals all around Bali, so naturally there are noises throughout the day :) We booked the One Bedroom Pool Villa for 10 nights. The rooms are beautifully appointed, with tons of space for unpacking, lounging, and relaxing. The bathroom features both a shower and a large stone tub, along with his and her sinks. The resort crew took care of any amenity or question we had with kindness and thoughtfulness. We appreciated the small touches, such as nightly turndown service and complimentary mineral water. The beds are comfortable—firm but plush, and the mosquito net is a welcome addition. We ordered room service and ate at the restaurant quite often during the trip (especially late night), and especially loved the hotel's breakfast. Udaya served as a home base for us to take day trips and also explore Ubud. Udaya's location is the perfect escape from the busy city centre. We took advantage of everything The Udaya had to offer, including the Kaveri Spa, the in-room Citrus bath (a must! the pandan was so fragrant), the New Moon Dinner, and even our engagement :) We can't wait to come back and visit.

We have a wonderful stay at The Udaya Resorts and Spa, for our honeymoon in Bali Ubud. All the team was so nice, welcoming, helpful, responsiveness (especially by Whatsapp) to our requests, from the beginning to the end. Plus, the hotel is a in a quiet place, which is perfect for a restful stay, with a lot of vegetation like in the middle of paradisiac land, with high quality equipments and services (spa, massage, gym, yoga, swimming pool, restaurant with services at table), and only at 8 min in free shuttle from the crowdy city center. We have enjoyed special couple treatment in the hotel, such as the Couple Massage Rejuvenating and Flower Celebration, Candlerlight Dinner in the Sky Yoga Hut, and private driver service, with interesting discount. It was very appreciated and made our honeymoon memorable. We really recommand the hotel, and are really grateful to all the team for the dream journey we had there.

It’s the best in Bali in terms of quality, professionalism. it’s extremely clean and relaxing. bath flower - best what I have ever experienced in Bali The hotel team is very friendly, nice, supportive and open-minded. they really love their job and do everything with smile. it seems like service & hospitaly are the key priority for the hotel management. staff are just amazing, they all deserve good salary bonuses. when I told that I don’t eat gluten, the team remembered it and for breakfast served me with hot, tasty bread gluten free. awesome! what else? can’t list everything, but Nice idea with live music for evening dinner good GYM and very good morning Yoga

I don’t know if it’s due to COVID restrictions, but the breakfast is served in the way of a-La carte and it’s difficult to choose food , when you never see it. i did a mistake to order a green salad. I suggest 5* hotel to have real salad and not this cat-portion… . it’s really small (the size of the portion is like it’s complimentary salad leaves in any dishes) and the avocado was TOO small. like I have never before experienced 2-3 slices (!!!) in the green salad. especially in Bali, where avocado is growing. I suggest such hotel to have more variations , for example if it were the line (buffet) with food I would choose another fruits, not those served in breakfast.

A nice experience we had in Udaya, started from the big smile that was awaiting for us upon arrival, The location is near from Ubud center , The room is beautiful 😍 for couple , I wouldn’t consider it private if your kids young enough . The balcony is well designed to keep you relax and if you are kinda person who enjoys privacy the little garden well ensure it . I liked the fact that they clean the room twice if needed Breakfast is a la carta , delicious options with good variety. In general the resort is not big as the name suggest but I think this is usual coz I tried multiple different resorts some are 5 stars I would say they are almost the same , maybe Udaya better Restaurant view is not satisfactory and not supplied with air conditioning, which is again not something unusual . I think the gym has a better view -_- , maybe they can change with the restaurant 😅 Anyway total experience is satisfactory and I would recommend it

We spent 5 nights in a pool villa, it was paradise in the jungle and absolutely fabulous. The location ( 2km) was ideal as it was in a quiet and peaceful area surrounded by jungle. The hotel offers hourly free shuttle to downtown ubud which is reached in less than 10min! The staff was very welcoming, helpful and always friendly with a big smile on their faces. The food (awesome breakfast & afternoon tea) in the restaurant was delicious. Everyone morning we were able to join a free Yoga class which had a different teacher every day and the teaching was the best I have experienced in Bali! The location with view into the jungle is the best one could imaging to do morning yoga practice. We also had massages in the SPA which was heaven! The therapists were extremely skilled and the massage a delight! Our accommodation was a little germ in the middle of the jungle, beautifully decorated, extremely well equipped, very spacious and the pool extraordinary!!! The most heartwarming experience was that every time we came back to the hotel the staffed welcomed us with “welcome home” and I must say it really felt like home! We would always come back to our second home, the Udaya resort! Thank you to the entire team for having made our stay so wonderful!!

The food in the restaurant wasn’t great

We give a 10 for the overall experience. There were though issues which you can read bellow. We stayed 4 nights in a suite and the time we spend there was just great. We could find everything we needed within the resort itself offering a good overall combination on comfort and quality. Outdoor pool with its surrounding vegetation was great, Kaveri massage was a highlight, breakfast was good and more than you can eat, and the food at the restaurant was reasonable. The shuttle to Ubud center which took only about 10 min was very convenient which we used a couple of times. The staff was highly helpful and friendly.

Air conditioner was old and made noise. And so did the fan which was hanging from the roof. You will find insects in the room which manage to get in somehow. which I think can be the case in any other resort in this region. A comfortable armchair was missing in the room for the moments you would like to rest in the cooled air inside. There were chairs on the balcony which we took into the room. They were moved back after each room service though.

The kindness of the personnel, the service provided the breakfast people that they were ready to provide anything that would make your stay welcomed and appreciated. I can’t recommend this resort enough from the breakfast choices until the Bolognese culture. Everything was amazing. We were staying in the jungle, we have experienced the Private Dinner That I recommend you to book we stayed in the pool Villas . I totally recommend Room to have this experience. We had the spa and the high tea experience which is highly recommended, we decided two days of our day to have two different full decorations. The flower theme exceeded our expectations. I can’t thank them enough and I can’t think enough our driver Putna Anik the sales manager. My experience was so good and I m travelling many years and all over the world !
