The first room we were assigned was unacceptable because it was too small and had an uncomfortable double bed. The window view was a concrete wall. We requested another room and got a lovely large upgrade with a great view of the bay, and furnished with two beds, a very comfortable queen and a single. The spacious room was ideal for 4 nights. The staff at the hotel was wonderful-pleasant, helpful, and accommodating. A full Irish breakfast buffet was offered every morning with lighter choices available as well, such as yogurt and oatmeal. The dinner restaurant was good, and we ate several times on the outdoor patio overlooking the bay. All restaurant staff members were charming.

The property was centrally located. There was no parking at hotel . There was parking just around corner from hotel which was reasonably priced. It was 2.70 for day parking. The hotel was spotless. Rooms were adequate size. Staff were very friendly and courteous. The hotel had two restaurants. The food was lovely and reasonably priced. I would recommend the hotel if looking for a quiet break. There were plenty of shops, restaurants and pubs in the town. The town itself was nice but not much to do. There was castle, railway museum and canal trip. Most of this would be done in a day. There was plenty of entertainment on at night all around the town and in hotel. The town itself had not much to do.

This hotel was nicely located in the center of town within walking distance to many pubs with live music. Blazers restaurant was a big hit with an awesome waiter. I had a really good steak for dinner. A bonus is right when we were about to hit the road to the next destination the cleaning staff found our credit card we thought we lost earlier in our trip. They called us right away and we were able to unlock it and keep using it. Thanks for the wonderful stay!
Rooms were a little stuffy when it got hot and humid out and with the window open you can hear some street noise when the bars let out. There was a trade off between privacy from the full length windows facing the street and having window ventilation. With a chair holding the blackout curtains away from the window we were able to make it work.

From the pictures on the website when i looked up the family room i thought i would be sleeping in one room with my kids for the whole trip. But it was a very big, two room suite (284B!). The staff was very nice. Our neighbours had an ongoing screaming match with their kid and eachother, but when i called the reception they picked it up without hestistation and fixed it for us. The kids loved the english breakfast.
The beds where oke, a bit to firm for my taste, but big and clean and nice sheets. The doors where smudgy, especially the bathroom door. That should have been better. You do not want to wonder what the brown smudge is on a bathroom door... Also it was very hot indoors. We kept open all the windows and still where sweaty although it wasn't very warm out. But that might be an irish thing because we thought it was everywhere very warm indoors. They apparently don't have an energy crisis there maybe.

The location is the best, next to the bus stop in the heart of the city. The stuff was also nice, we had an issue with drunk guest knocking at our door and administrator came up in 2 minutes. Unfortunately, the guest disturbed us at night as well, but it’s nothing to do with the hotel. SPA was ok, jacuzzi is still OOO and I would love to be announced (making appointment in advance) that lots of kids are coming same time I am, because it was not really relaxing. Breakfast was rich, the variety of entertainment is amazing!
I noticed that Booking.com page is not filled properly and the size of the room stated is 5 m2 which is not truth, so guys please help yourself with fixing this + pictures because hotel is truly amazing for individual tourists to come <3

On check in the lovley girl who was looking after us kindly upgraded us to a room with a view for no extra charge. She was very polite, helpfull and the perfect first impression when arriving to the hotel. It was the evening of the 29th of September 2022. If a manager or supervisor is reading this, I urge you to check who was on the desk that evening and give her a raise ;)
There on street parking available. no secure on site parking. However, it's good to know that you could purchase the pay&display ticket from the machine on the street the night before so you dont have to get up at 9am when the parking kicks in and buy the ticket then. Plus it's very cheap to park. I think it was about 30c per hour.

The hotel was central to my needs. Staff was super - very helpful and polite.
The room was grand - tho I would've liked to turn down the heat. But I understand it would be difficult. I would very much recommend that safety bars be placed in the tub/shower. I took it very slow upon getting in for the shower. A wee better footing would be good too. And - the swinging glass door might be a danger.I reckon it is easier to clean - but I though hazardous. A good shower curtain would still give staff a good cleaning option. Along with the safety bars. And watched myself gettin down out of the shower/tub too. But again - the room was grand.

I love Donegal Town as I always attend the music weekends there. This was my 1st time to stay at the Central. It's a lovely hotel. The bathroom was a bit tight for one of my friends, but everything was spotless. The room was too hot. ( not a bad complaint ) . The food was delicious . Didn't have my drink , but not the end of the world. I would definitely stay here again.

The staff were all friendly and welcoming (especially Katie in the restaurant, she was lovely, really kind, thoughtful and welcoming) The interconnecting rooms were absolutely amazing. The food was excellent and overall the experience was fantastic.
The water was a little slow in the bathroom sinks, the cold water didn’t come out very well. But this is the only fault I can think of!

Friendly welcome, Clean comfortable room. Nice toiletries & good quality towels in bathroom. Staff in all areas very pleasant & courteous. Breakfast staff constantly checking if everything was ok or if they could get us anything. Bar staff friendly & free entertainment was really good & there was a great atmosphere in the bar. Great location. Parking within 1-2 minutes walk at 30cents per hour with 2.70 Euro per day. Lots of great restaurants within 2 minutes walk.
