Hunter exceeded my expectations and was such a huge help even before we arrived! He by far was the nicest employee! I loved the breakfast! The pool was a decent size! Being pet friendly was a HUGE PLUS! I highly recommend this place to anyone with a pet!

I only had one experience that I didn’t like and it’s when the lady that handled the breakfast Saturday morning. She got upset and mad when I asked for help to make a waffle. I did not see the instructions. You can not see the instructions when it’s open. She still proceeded to try and argue with me. It was very frustrating I was just trying to leave with my food and everyone was staring at us.

The location was excellent. It was only a few minutes from my job.

Some of the staff was rude and not very helpful. The room wasn't as clean as it should have been.

The room, aside from the soap, was exceptionally clean. The mini fridge did a fantastic job of keeping our food nice and cold. The bed was super comfy. And although we were on the "dog floor", it was quiet. The pool was a little small, but only one other couple used it when I did, so it wasn't an issue, but it was very clean, cool and refreshing!! Also, despite my complaint about the lack of tub and stationary shower head, the water pressure was very possibly the best I've ever experienced! And the staff was very nice and helpful!!

Would have preferred a tub, or even a shower head that could be removed. There was also soap still in the shower. Lastly, the "breakfast food" was subpar, except the waffles. Having the waffle machine saved breakfast!! The coffee though, it was really, really awful. A suggestion, but not that big of a deal - more electrical outlets in the bathroom. The plug ins that were on the lamps were very loose and we struggled to keep our devices charged.

It was okay. Lots of variety but eggs lacked flavor.

A front desk lady came to our door and knocked loudly in the late afternoon. We just woke from a nap and before my husband could get to the door, she bathed inside. She asked us who we were and who checked us in. She said she couldn't find the records but she would ask another employee. The next morning, a man was yelling at this same woman saying he had shown her where the guests were located, and to stop knocking on doors. This was around 7am and it woke me up. We stayed 2 nights and didn't have any more issues. She should be fired for that. I don't appreciate her barging in like that and not even giving us time to get to the door. A simple phone call would have sufficed.

Location is really good. Easy drive to the beach and to South Port.

Breakfast was adequate. It met my expectations, but not my wife, who is not a breakfast person anyway. I took her a muffin, which turned out to be a blue berry, no other selections. More options would have better fit her choices.

After having surgery, I got a handle capped room. Everything was good, except the shower ran water out over the bathroom floor. We cleaned the floor with a used towel. After learning this, we took the towel and placed in in front/outside the shower the ledge and was able to contain much of the water. Need better way to keep the floorvdryer and SAFER FOR SLIPS.

It’s hard to get into the property coming from Southport (U-turn required). The AC unit ran loud. My dog kept smelling areas in the room which made me think there were old urine marks. The breakfast lady was very very nice! Would love to see some bacon offered at breakfast. Bed was very comfy.

I wasn’t asked about my pet during booking through BringFido so assumed her fee was included but ended up having to pay $30 on top of what I thought the stay would cost. Wish there was a fenced area for my dog to use. AC ran loud. One of our keys didn’t work.

The breakfast was outstanding, the convenience of the room to the exit, the popcorn and cookies with lemonade that are complimentary, the key lime mints, the convenience of the commute to both Southport and to Oak Island, the friendliness of the staff, the exceptionally clean room, the decor in the lobby, and I love the convenience of the pool and the workout room. Both are clean and fun to use. The showers are adjustable as far as the water pressure, which is nice. Also, we stayed in the king suite and there is plenty of space for sleeping or visiting. Both the couch and the bed are comfortable.

The ice machine on the first floor was broken so I had to go to the third floor when I wanted ice when they broken machine was just across the hall(inconvenient but not a big deal, really), the refrigerator control knob was broken off so there was no way to turn the temp down and my drinks were not nearly as cold as I like them, and the curtains are not dark, so it was light during the nighttime and with me being on the first floor and a veterinarian office next door, I felt like I couldn’t undress since the curtains are see-through.

It was easily accessible, the staff were very inviting and so nice as soon as I walked in. We were able to check in just a few minutes early but again they were so nice. The breakfast on our first night stay was delicious and the cookies that she made were good as well.

The breakfast the other 2 mornings weren’t as up to par as our first night.
