Amazing location on top of a mountain, perfect to get away from it all. Solid breakfast. There is a bike rental place where you can rent ebikes to explore the surroundings, which are beautiful.

The room was a little noisy in the night, because you can hear everything thats happening in the building, eg someone taking a shower. It doesnt help that the night is super quiet! so that took some getting used to. Also the breakfast was good, but no fruit or veggies of any kind - perhaps because we were offseason.

We warmly recommend Il Cioccho hotels. We stayed at the Belveder hotel. It is located on the slope of a hill with a picturesque view on the valley where a small town of Barga is located. We are very grateful to the staff of the hotel (and personally to Ms Rosa Rita) who picked us up given the fact that the location was erroneously put on the maps.me map. For future guests: it is advisable to rent a car or pre-order a transfer if you arrive to the nearest train station. The breakfast were excellent and delicious. We would love to come back.

Beautiful views. Very nice breakfast, lovely restaurant with great food. Our chalet was beautiful and had everything we needed

1. Bit of confusion about how to checkout. No one at reception tried ringing, someone finally picked up told me I had to go back up the hill to the restaurant that I just had my breakfast... No one mentioned it before.... 2. Nowhere does it say it's a car racing place, when we came in there was someone practicing making lots of noise and making it hard for us to get to our chalet. 3. Electric charging point not working but even if it did other NON electric cars were parked there (assuming however they were staff)

This small hotel on the top of the mountain is awesome. Older, yet we'll maintained, clean, and incredible views. Breakfast is at the excellent restaurant ten minutes walk uphill. Other delicious meals are also available at the restaurant, and by US standards are affordable. There are roads and paths for trekking, and sports courts if you are interested. There is no pool. Because I was here in off season, there were fewer tourists, so they upgraded my room to one with a balcony and view!!

This location is inaccessible without a vehicle. If you do not rent a car it will be extremely difficult and time consuming to arrive. Also, the property can be a bit confusing when you first arrive- don't stop at the first hotel, the posh Renaissance by Marriott, but continue uphill for 3 more minutes. Lastly it wasn't easy to access information about the hiking trails. Usually the person at the front desk knows all these things, but she had to make some calls and go digging for me. She did find a rough map online and printed it for me though. The property should invest a little more in resources like this for the clients.

Location provided excellent views and access to natural setting for walks (or sports if you do that sort of thing). Due to low volume of clients at this time of year, they upgraded my reservation to a room with balcony and view. Was wonderful. Breakfast was excellent - variety of foods on buffet, and food at the restaurant for dinner was delicious and not terribly expensive by US standards. Restaurant is a 10 minute walk or 3 min drive uphill.

Host who checked me in was very warm and kind, but she didn't know much about the hiking trails on the mountain. She did download and print a Google maps of trails, but it was a bit hard to follow. The resources for this could stand to be improved. One thing to note is the property is really only accessible by car. It would be extremely inconvenient to come and go using public transit or taxis. Thus with the expense of the car rental, it sort of nullifies the good deal I got on the lodging. Also, there is no pool... Somewhere online I saw a picture with a pool saying it was Il Ciocco, but it's definitely not. Perhaps it was of the Renaissance Resort, owned by Marriott and located a.bit further down the mountain.

Most things honestly! The rooms are very nice and clean. The staff is absolutely lovely and super helpful! And the location and surroundings are gorgeous.

The location is pretty remote so it can be tricky to get around without a car. However, you can easily get around by taxi or with a rented car.

Loved the cabin, loved the restaurant and food options, and loved the location. Keep up the excellent customer service. It is definitely a resort to come back to. Has gorgeous hiking trails and facilities.

The cabin kitchen could use a few more cooking utensils, but there is nothing I didn't enjoy at the resort. Great job.

Lovely hotel in a stunning location with a great view from our balcony over Barga. Really clean contemporary room with quiet aircon. Dinner and breakfast at Locanda Alla Posta were great, especially dinner.

The drive to the property is a bit challenging, but thats what you expect for such stunning views.

Location was wonderful. The road up is a little challenging but manageable. The staff most helpful and pleasant and the breakfast provided was more than adequate. we dined at the restaurant one evening and the meal and service was excellent. The lovely bathrobes provided were very welcoming as we often. snuggled up in them and sat on the balcony admiring the view. It was a wonderful find and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

All was very nice. A lovely Lady has upgrade our Suite for free :-) Later i asked for late check-out and we also get it for free. Very friendly from the Lady. We loved the Tea in the Room and all was organic. Also the Breakfast with fresh fruits and cereals. The bed was very comfortable and all was modern and an amazing view from the balcony. The Smart-TV with YouTube was nice to watch some austrian Comedy. The Restaurant nearby was also very good with local Italian Kitchen. Thanx for all♡♡♡
