Hotel Marco Polo

Room was nice, clean, warm and big! There was free parking area in front of the hotel, is pet friendly and I was able to communicate with the owner and take the keys easily!

I would prefer to send the details to how we pick up the keys and the code from the entrance to booking messaging system, viber and etc.. Hotel was a little bit far away from the city center but that's not a problem if you have a car.

I liked the ghost hotel approach. All very quick and easy. The staff solved everything through WhatsApp.

It is far from the center (45 min walked until you start to see some historical sites). I don't like that they don't include the city tax in the price here in booking, but that happens with all the hotels I guess.

If you are spending last night in Bologna and fly from airport tomorrow and you have rented a car, this is one of the best locations. From hotel it takes about 10 minutes by car to go to airport. Hotel is right next to a gas station where you can refuel and clean car.

Clear instructions for self check in and check out did work; we needed to leave at 4am and had no problem doing so. The room, while minimalistic (as suitable for a budget hotel), was comfortable and had good air conditioning. The place was very quiet.

The location, while physically close to the airport, is "out of the way" from everything. The nearest bus stop is a few munutes of walking, over a road not great for suitace wheels. There are no facilities nearby except a petrol station and the bar in the same building. At 7pm the bar was already not offering food and, surprisingly for an Italian city, there were no restaurants or pizzerias close by.

Clean room with bathroom, frigde and self check-in. Close to the airport for an early morning flight, you get there in 10 min by taxi (costs 20€). Good for one night stay. You have a bar/restaurant downstairs.

The location is a bit far from city center, if you plan to go by bus it takes 20 min to downtown, 15 to railway station. The stop is near by, but at weekends the bus is every 20 min. I would recommend something more central if you want to save some time.
