The staff were very friendly and helpful from the front desk to the waiting staff. Facilities were very good and the whole place was modern and felt very accommodating. The pool was big and clean and well presented. The beach is excellent and only 1 minute walk. Very easy to pop back to the hotel from the beach. Our main requirements for our stay was a clean and comfortable hotel close to a nice sandy beach which felt safe and Hotel Club Lacona delivered perfectly. The dinner buffet was crazy but the quality of food was surprisingly good. Same with the breakfast. It’s definitely a family place aimed at making sure parents have a relaxing time and the kids are entertained. But still as a couple we had a lovely time and felt very welcome. Again it’s proximity to a fantastic beach is a massive selling point. There are a couple of restaurants nearby if you want a fancier kind of evening but if you want to eat reliably decent food then the hotel restaurant is a safe bet. We wanted to have dinner at Lo Zenzero (just 2 minutes away) which looks really cute but it was fully booked on the weekend so book in advance. We were there in mid June which seemed a perfect time to visit as it was hot but not crazy busy and pretty guaranteed to get a sun bed even in the weekend.

On arrival at the reception the man was not very familiar with the place. Unclear about WiFi, local restaurants, floor of our room. Possibly new or filling in for another colleague. Otherwise, very good stay.

Great location in the centre of the island, one of the best beds in all of Italy, big and supportive, great shower, the pool was excellent- photos don’t do it justice.

The buffet was okay, although the amount of choice is extensive, the quality isn’t high (for Italy) that is.

Great location directly centered on the bay! And perfect to explore Elba in tranquility easy to reach from the port with several scenic routes.

The Breakfast room was an absolute mess which was a shame because the food and coffee was actually good. No clean cuttleries to find, all tables are occupied with dirty dishes. Stuff is unorganized and didn’t seem responsible. The rooms are pretty blank and don‘t have decoration The Bathrooms could benefit from a little refurbishment (for instance replacing broken holders for toilet paper rolls etc)

no wifi in the room. For the money, the room was quite small. The location is a little isolated you would need a car to get around.
