Valeria warmly welcomed us and showed us around the bnb. She also gave us some useful tips regarding our moving around the area. Last but not least, she booked us an amazing tour to Mt. Aetna and river Alcantara. Her mom, Susie, took great care of us during breakfast and made sure we got everything we needed. The room and bathroom were very spacious and very clean. Same for the communal spaces. I liked the fact that they've kept some elements of previous era, like the tiled floor, the door frames and the high ceiling but have also added some essensials like a/c and interior window frames to keep away noise and heat. The spot was in the centre of Catania and we went everywhere on foot, having a 5,5 and a 7 year-old with us.

Location, check-in, check-out, big room, quiet and dark, all new bathroom with hot water and beautiful sink and shower. Original beautiful tiled flowers. Host (ess) called a local place and arranged an amazing dinner of small plates and specialties. They treated me like the queen! And I’m sure didn’t charge me 1/4 of what it was worth. The bus to the airport comes right by the property every 20 minutes and it’s a short walk to the train and bus station. Did I say the room was spotless? Let me leave my luggage and have me keys to get back in to get it. Anyway it’s like your mother is taking care of you only she’s not in your business, and wants you to go out on your own and explore and experience. Ok, she’s not like your mother.

Did I mention the AC worked great and that the room is HUGE?

Breakfast was superb. The bread with the sesame seed was the most delicious I ever had. Very warm and friendly host. Electric kettle in the room + glass + tea. Room was spacious for 4 of us.

When the heater was not on (I think it turns on and off automatically at certain time), the floor of the room was quite cold for me (I'm from tropical country), and I need to wear socks all the time or just stay on the bed. Bring your own slippers.

Susi and Viviana were delightful hosts! They were great communicators and Susi was so helpful with what we could do with our short stay. I had assumed all hotels would have shampoo and conditioner. When it didn’t Viviana went and found me some. The breakfast was unbelievably good with so much variety.

I would suggest having tissues in the room although it seems it is normal in Italy not to have any. Just a suggestion. There really wasn’t anything else.

We booked this B&B last minute, and it proved to be worthwhile, Susan and Valerie were beyond fantastic, hospitable and amusing. It was as if we were at home. They made sure we had everything we wanted for breakfast, it was as if we had it at home. We were provided with all the info needed. The place was clean, spacious, inviting and quiet.

Really nice place !! Clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great. It was pretty good by european standards. The room is large and comfortable.Property is placed in strategic location - close to city center. Owner is super friendly and helpful. Location is great. You can go anywhere by walking. Close to bus stops. Highly recommended! By the way thanks for everything susanna and valeria :)

Susana was very accommodating when it came to us leaving the bags there the first and last day! And serving breakfasts earlier so we were able to catch the trains for our day trips Rooms are clean and big, beds are comfy Really good location - 10mins to Catania Centrale and city centre

Nothing to do with the BnB but if you're travelling in January, be prepared for quite a lot of restaurants being closed (not just in Catania)

The hostess was absolutely wonderful, made us feel at home! Her daughter was there even when we arrived veery late after a delayed flight and she responded to whatever question we had! The room was big, in a building following the local architecture, so the experience was absolutely Sicilian!

Really nice stay! Clean and comfortable. Nice hosts, always ready to help. We had late check-in, but it wasn’t a problem. Breakfast was really good. Nice location near Bellini theatre, close to the city centre (about 10 min walking) and close to the train station (10 min walking to another side). When we are back to Catania, certainly we’ll stay here again!

Nice Hosts - Valeria was friendly and willing and stayed in touch with us via whatsapp and we get great tips for restaurant, beaches/lidos, parking habits etc... Her mother Susy was nice and friendly too and morning breakfast were so pleasant with her. Great location in the city center - 10 minutes walk to Cattedrale di Sant'Agata and fish market, alibus airport shuttle, groceries, restaurants, pharmacy, parking lots...but any noise - quite room.
