The place is located in a bad area. The city center - which others may prefer. For me it made it difficult to find parking (although it is worth noting that the owner of the place recommended a paid parking lot nearby). And the area is not sympathetic either. I was afraid to walk around alone...

Close proximity to bus/train station.

The lighting in the stairwells and around the elevator was very poor, and sometimes nonexistent, making it dangerous and scary.

Our stay at Vincenzo was great! Nice, clean rooms, loved the peak window in shower, modern and smartly equiped room with the nice view from the balcony. Breakfast is served at the terrace of the building and offers fascinating views on Catania’s most inspired buildings and Etna mountain. Breakfast comes above standard - a la carte choose from the Italian patisery. Vincenzo also offered great recommendation on leisure and restaurant options in Catania. Location is in the heart of old city centre, just a few minutes to the main streets Via Etnea and Via Vittorio Emanuele II. The whole service was concluded with the drive to the airport. Vincenzo takes his business very serious so I highly recommend to anyone getting a stay in Catania at best possible service.

The room was beautiful and clean. Having access to the rooftop terrace 24h was particularly amazing. We enjoyed the great view from there. The location was perfect for us. We could easily reach the train station as well as the city center. The staff was friendly and helpful in every kind of situation.

We were picked up at the airport by the B&B owner, Vincenzo. He's a very kind and open guy that really wants his guests to have the perfect stay. He gave us a quick tour around Catania to show us what to visit in the next days. He's always available for questions or to drop you off (for a small amount of money) around Catania. As soon as we entered the B&B (up 4 floors, but there is an elevator for 2 people and some luggage) the first thing that we noticed was the relaxed smell and the tidy, modern look. Room number 5 was spacious, where the shower was located within the "living room" and had a separate toilet. The A/C was perfect and remote controlled. The small fridge within the room cools really well. There were double doors to the small balcony that made sleeping very comfortable without any noise from the street. Apart from the room we were able to use the roof terrace at any time. This is the place were all guests have breakfast every day. Breakfast consisted of a fresh Catanian-like sandwich to be ordered for the next day with Vincenzo (one included per person per day). For those that plan to arrive by car: there's no parking garage within short range of the B&B, however there are sufficient (paid) parking spots within a ten minute walk of the B&B. If you do not want to pay you have to be patient and tactical to find a parking spot down the street ;-).

Keys: We received a keychain with 3 keys on it: street door, B&B door and room door. I advised Vincenzo to at least apply a colour for each key so it's easy to distinguish which key to be used for which door. Bed: In our humble opinion, the bed was to short in length. We're not that tall (175 cm approx. each) but our feed did reach over the end of the bed. Pillows: These were not our favorite, but on the other hand it's very personal which pillows fits your needs. The width of the pillows was, on the other end, well enough.

It's an old building and not easily indicated, but the inside surprises you: a well renovated modern bed&breakfast. There are 4-5 rooms to hire and the staff is super friendly and helpful. We stayed there outside the tourist-season and where searching for a local car and guide. Because it was difficult to get one: vincenzo (one of the owners) toured us around the city, the vulcano, alcantara river and 2 other cities during the whole day. A splendid experience with a lot of information from the locals. Also the breakfast and diner was as it should be: we could even choose for Sicilian specialties.

Excellent location, less than 1 minute to centre.

Nice staff and comfortable room. Located in the old town, close to historic monuments and stores. The terrace has a really nice view of Etna.
