We could pick free pastry and a coffee for breakfast in some bar nearby, it worked well for us, you can also sit there, but it's not really comfortable and the street view isn't really nice. We just took it to the room and had a nice breakfast in the kitchen. It's good value for money, some people can probably find climbing up the stairs 3-4 floors a bit tricky or the breakfast place a bit lame, but we enjoyed the close location, the jacuzzi tub in the room was nice after long city walks or climbs on Etna and there are very nice restaurants close by. Filippo gave us amazing advices about restaurants and places to visit, was very helpful.

Found something to complain :) The room key is a bit too big :) How can you walk without a bag with such a key ? :) Nothing really to complain about, all matched expectations :)

Filippo was a thoughtful, organized, responsive host. He and his "friend, Mr. Gianni" met us at the parking garage on arrival, guided us to the B &B, and carried our bags up 4 floors - same assistance when we left. We were welcomed with glasses of fruit juice, and introduced to the facilities, including a full eat-in kitchen with access to a fridge stocked with juice, milk etc, packaged snack and breakfast foods, tea, coffee machine, much appreciated. (Breakfast was also available at a nearby bar.) The room was pleasant enough, but the large, glassed-in shower was a standout! The location is excellent, not a touristy street but very easy 10 minute walk to the Duomo and central area, markets, restaurants, sights.

Although the street where the B&B is located is quiet, it is a block away from a more important traffic artery. The roar of accelerating motorbikes continued into the wee hours. My husband wasn't bothered but I had a hard time getting to sleep.

Filippo is a nice welcoming host. He gave us advice on places to visit and where to eat and everything was very good. The B&B is very modern and contains all facilities for a comfortable staying. It is located on the top floor of an ancient building, with no elevator (to keep in mind for who might matter). But Filippo helped us carrying our luggage upstairs. Our room had a beautiful view on Ursino's castle. Location is amazing, 1 minute walking from Ursino's castle, 5 minutes walking from Piazza Duomo. Highly recommended!

Freshly renovated and very clean, the bed is super comfortable and the room has all the facilities you need. I stayed there for 4 night and it felt really like home! The owner Filippo is an awesome host, and makes sure you’ll have anything you need. The building is situated in a beautiful street right in the center of Catania next to the Castle and close to all the must sees like the market and restaurants. I will be back in Catania and definitely stay at Ursino’s again!

The room was very clean and equipped with all amenities, if not more: the Bluetooth stereo system is really amazing as well as the view on Etna from the balcony. There is a kitchen with all necessary equipment for you to cook your own meals, have snacks, make coffee. Suggest you to dine on the balcony if yo0u're travelling with your partner/spouse, it is very romantic. The owner Filippo is super available, kind and will share many tips to ensure you can make the most out of your time in Catania. Few minutes walk from this location you will also have easy access to many restaurants at night. Even the people at the bar where you may have breakfast as guests of this property are very kind, funny and will surely give you an abundant breakfast that leave you more than satisfied!

Everything was perfect.

Filippo is an amazingly wonderful host. From the initial introduction to our room to providing us endless information on things to do, recommendations on what to see and where to eat and always helpful at any time. The room itself was very spacious, clean and had everything we needed. The breakfast, located across the road in a cafe, was also great and the staff there were so friendly and inviting.

The only downsides were the accomodation is located on the 5th floor and there are only stairs. Great exercise for us in the end and not overly a negative but might be something for others to consider. Other than that, the room we were in did have a lot of noise from the nearby road. Again, not sure there's much that can be done about it but coming from a very quiet place to here did take some getting use to.

The bed is very comfortable and the kitchenette is very well equipped! Filippo is very nice.

Breakfast could be organized better. While the kitchenette has fresh juice (amazing!) and coffee, the food does not have allergen labels. The bar that serves the breakfast has very little and is small and dirty. I would recommend serving a good breakfast in the kitchenette upstairs, with vegan and gluten-free options, and a selection of teas. The room and bathroom are lovely, but 4-star level. We would stay here again, so these are minor details.

Ursino's Luxury is a cosy b&b in the old town of Catania, within walking distance from main sights in the centre (Duomo, Pescaria Market, via Etnea,...). Filippo is a very kind and helpful host, giving us nice advices on places and transportation around Catania. Although breakfast is served in a cafe around the corner, in the b&b's kitchen there's plenty of hot and cold beverages, fruits and snacks at your disposal anytime. Rooms are comfortable, well equipped and designed.

Being located on top floor of a historic building, the b&b is not equipped with a lift, so it could be managing if you're carrying heavy luggage.

Fillipo was very responsive to all communications. The bed was comfortable - but I like a firm mattress. There was a common area with refrigerator and coffee/tea and snacks. Very clean, rainhead shower with goods water pressure, great AC. Location in central Catina was busy but felt safe, easy walk to many restaurants.

I did not realize there was no lift. Rooms are on top floor. It was no problem for me to walk/down up 4 flights but I appreciated not having to carry bags up and down.
