Nice big room, lovely decor, comfortable bed. Good shower. Good location. The host Manuela was absolutely amazing making extra arrangements for us to have a later check in due to us arriving late from Stromboli. There was a kettle and coffee machine in the dining room that we were able to access and use whenever we wanted but I'd still prefer a kettle in the room especially to make the first cuppa of the day.

No kettle in the room. Us brits like our own kettle! Also there's 2 flights of stairs up to the accommodation which is ok if you're fit and strong. It wasn't easy taking a big suitcase up and down

Exceptionally attractive rooms — big, wood floors, lots of light (there is one smaller room that isn’t especially bright), balconies, nice bathrooms, comfortable beds. Fine breakfast. She has an incredible system to let you in instantly when you arrive, using her Apple Watch and an app. Location close to all the sights. Catania is busy, gritty and great, but Il Leone Blu is a quiet refuge in the middle of all that action. Our hostess was quick to arrange a taxi to the airport — so helpful. Allowed us to store bags for our late afternoon flight after checkout

If you can’t carry your suitcase up 39 stairs you probably will need to miss out on this wonderful b&b. We are 64 years old and are very happy we stayed.

Manuela and Rosanna were absolutely amazing. Very kind and helpful. Very smooth check-in (although I reached late at night), with detailed explanations from Manuela. I had absolutely no problems at all. The location is 10 min driving from the airport and literally next to Castello Ursino. I reached on foot to the centre, everything is walking distance. Best place to stay in! The place is very clean and when I entered my room it was very warm (considering that I reached late at night, that was very nice!). The rooms look exactly as in the photos, and the place is very cute and cosy. Breakfast was delicious, with tasty pastries, ham and cheese, and all sorts of refreshments. Rosanna made a delicious capuccino. I am planning to return with my mother :) Thank you again, Manuela ❤️❤️❤️

Such a lovely room! The door to the balcony is very effectively sound-proofed and the walls are thick. Immediately next to Castello Ursino which has a fantastic museum, as well as many places to eat. Host was very forthcoming with help and information - including remotely granting us entry to the property, whatsapp-ing us a video for how to enter and find/use our keys, and making dining suggestions. We regret that we weren't able to stay longer... this time.

There was nothing to not like in our opinion. Everything appeared to be in good repair and recently refurbished. Perhaps the shower was a bit small, but there was a very nice waterfall showerhead.

This hotel is not much to look at from outside, but once you’re in, the rooms of this small hotel are beautiful and the breakfast room is very welcoming. We were greeted by the host who was just lovely! She gave us a map of the local area and pointed out lots of places of interest and restaurants worth a visit. The continental breakfast was superb, and tea/coffee making facilities are available all day. I definitely recommend this hotel if you’re planning a visit to Catania.

I’ll Leone Blu is nicely designed with a lovely breakfast bar, comfortable beds, and functional clean washrooms. Manuela was very helpful and accommodating even after our stay was cut short due to a cancelled and then rescheduled earlier flight. Her communication was the best we experienced on our trip- very organized and thorough. Love the little espresso machine in the breakfast room. It is also close to all piazzas and shopping, restaurants.

We had a family room with three beds, large elegant room with plenty of space, beautiful large and well appointed bathroom, with generous amounts of very nice shower gel! very quiet at night and great aircon, it was a short walk away from the centre and all tourist attractions. Wonderful contact and communication with the host Manuela, who was always there if we needed her. Would highly recommend this stylish B+B

A lift would have made it perfect!

Manuela was very responsive, hospitable and extremely pleasant. We were treated with great care and were all made to feel special. The breakfast was sensational and we would all go back to I’ll Leone Blu in a heartbeat.

Taxi service in Catania is difficult when in a group with young children The drivers will charge quite heavily, especially knowing that it’s not easy to negotiate and/or change taxis easily

SO comfortable, clean and well-cared for. The staff were so helpful, nothing was too much trouble - special thanks to Manuela for advice on taxis and getting to the b&b from the airport. The rooms are airy, with high ceilings and marvellous baroque plaster work in some. Large, comfortable beds and very well-equipped bathrooms. A proper breakfast too - not just machine coffee and biscotti! The location is great, walking distance to the Piazza del Duomo and with a range of good, reasonably priced restaurants nearby. Plenty of hanging and drawer space for those staying a little longer.

Because it’s close to lots of action the streets are noisy late into the night. Light sleepers should take earplugs.

Firstly it was easy to get street parking. The hosts were great with communication and allowing early checkin. Roseanna looked after us and she was such a lovely person making us feel at home. Our bedroom was superb, the ceiling was something special, as was the room. Appreciated the availability of coffee and cold water, nice large dining area. Very central to walk around the old town. Highly recommend.
