Hotel Engadina

Location perfect for both using the train station and access to the lake. Also gelateria, pizzaria and bar next to it. Someone is always there 24 hours a day if you need help. They have an espresso machine and make great espressos. Real authentic Italian family run place. For the price, you can not do better. It is by far the best value in the area. I will use again.

Motorcycle noise that is all over Italy and a crazy Italian screaming in middle of the night up and down the street. But we felt safe because some one is there 24 hours. The other hotels on the street have the same issue and they charge way more.

The staffs are very friendly and check in very fast

The hotel is family owned and operated. The owners are lovely people that really make an effort to make you feel welcome. In the morning you sit down for breakfast and you are served at your table which is really nice. I asked for a hot chocolate and it was very close to the nicest hot chocolate I've ever had, delicious.... You can easily walk to the hotel from the train station (approx 10-15 minutes) if you don't mind walking with your bag's and it's also only a brief stroll into the lake and restaurant area.. It's not an ultra modern hotel but it's been well maintained and I myself actually prefer less contemporary styling and decor.. I really enjoyed my stay - Actually I stayed an extra couple of day's I liked it so much....

All good no complaints

Fantastic location..about 2 minutes walk from the lake and not far from station. Easy check in and very friendly and efficient staff. Room was small but perfect for me...travelling alone and single room with shower loo bidet and basin. Good sized balcony. Very nice breakfast. Fancy jam filled croissant ..2 freshly baked buns, salami and cheese...spreads juice and choice of coffees and tea. Again guy serving was so nice. Absolutely no complaints. I was able to leave my suitcase for few hours while I explored before I moved on.

The hotel staff are mostly nice except the young guy serving the reception in the afternoon. But all others are very nice, in particular the old man and middle-aged man who are very helpful. But the air-conditioning in room 112 doesn't work properly and the cooling function appeared to be very weak. It's location is ok, within 10 minutes walking distance from train station and ferry terminal. Nevertheless, I recommend the hotel for a stay which is comfortable in general.

Nice location, walking distance from train station, walking distance to Como historic center and ferry station. Bus stop at 25 metres. Big room, no need for night entrance as hotel is open 24/7.

We requested one bed and the request was not fulfilled even though they´d confirmed (two single beds instead were offered). Even though breakfast was OK, personal ask what you want and they bring it to you, it´s not self service as most hotels have. You end up having to ask item by item what they have, instead of looking at the options and deciding. Also, need to wait for the only person available if there´re several customers.

Very good value family run hotel. Good location, approximately 10-15 minute walk to main train station, 10 minute walk to the lake ferry piers and 5 minute walk to a Carrefour supermarket. Room was comfortable and clean. My room was very quiet, there was very little noise from outside or from other guests. Breakfast was fine for my purposes. Staff were all helpful and pleasant. Would definitely stay here again. .

Only minor flaw was that the room safe was already locked.

Breakfast was a continental style breakfast and exceptional. The rooms seemed a little dated and in need of a lick of paint, our shower was tiny, with no room to move without have the doors open. Members of our group had smaller rooms but where pleased with the room. The stall where very helpful and friendly. The first impression when you arrive, is that the hotel looks rather dated, but dont be fooled, we enjoyed our stay and would return if we choose to stay in Como again.
