The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is absolutely central for shops, restaurants, cathedral, beaches and harbour. Wide choice at breakfast.

Our room was very small (hardly enough space for 2 small suitcases) and the air conditioning was set by the hotel at a temperature of 22 degrees which wasn't enough for us (outside day temperature 37 degrees / night temperature around 23 degrees). Also, the hotel gave us a choice of 3 park spaces all costing between 5-15 euros per day; however, on the last day we discovered a free public parking space.

Hotel Palazzo is a hidden gem within the castle walls. The location is perfect, walkable to every restaurant and historic structure. The staff are attentive and kind, genuinely invested in your experience. They made many recommendations for local sites to explore & eateries that were great. Eating breakfast upstairs overlooking the Adriatic was a great start to each day. The pastries, espresso, fruit, and antipasto were delicious. Our room was spacious and very clean, maintained & organized daily (the bathroom was beautiful!). If you found yourself on the outdoor terrace at sunset, you were greeted with Prosecco and local refreshments. Leaving, we had an early travel day beginning at 3:30am, made very easy by Hotel Palazzo. They arranged our transfer ahead of time and had fresh breakfast with hot espresso at 3am delivered to our room. We travel Europe a lot and this was one of the nicest experiences we've had. If you are staying in Otranto, this is the best place to be!

This hotel is lovely and in a great location in the old town but it is made outstanding by the lovely staff. Everyone we came in contact with was friendly and helpful, especially Valentina and Mattia and the other lady on the front desk. Also have to mention Laura’s range of beautiful home made delicacies for breakfast which must have taken her hours to make. And thanks to the man who found my luggage tag in the garden and brought it back to me!!

Our room was quite small but it wasn’t a problem. Also there’s some noise from the activity in the town but you have to expect that if you stay right in the centre of town.

Access was a hassle. Of course you cannot drive direct to it as it is in the old city walls. But to be told in advance to ring them for advice, when the advice is then to stop by the Oste restaurant and wait for the golf buggy to collect the luggage while you then park nearby is silly. Much better to tell you that in advance as well. rather than have the hot and frustrating 30 minutes that we had. Local parking was 20 eruos for 24 hours.

The location is unbeatable. Just park in the Sant Angelo car park. The breakfast on the roof top is amazing.

Rooms were a little small but that was no problem. Location trumped that. The staff were super helpful also.

Perfect location a few meters from the cathedral. Beautiful terrace overlooking the old town. Staff very nice and helpful in every way. We were obviously one of the first visitors of the new season and you could see that they were happy with us. Breakfast simple, but all fresh and tasty.

The kindest most thoughtful staff I have seen in a long long time. I've stayed in all sorts of hotels all over the world, and the team at the Palazzo went above and beyond to make us feel at home. For example, they, unprompted, provided breakfast at 5am at no extra cost knowing we had an early flight to catch. They even designed a special menu for dinner taking into account dietary restrictions. Stop reading reviews and book now!

The only down side is that you need to park outside the city center, but they have a golf cart to help with luggage if you need it.

I loved my stay here, I let the hotel know I was staying as a celebration of my boyfriend's 30th and they upgraded our room. The location was great, right in the old town and so close to the beach. I can't praise the staff enough, they were so friendly, met us at our taxi drop off (since cars can't park outside the hotel) and helped plan us a trip to a nearby vineyard. The breakfast was great and I will definitely be recommending to any friends and family who want to visit the area.

This is a beautiful place to stay in a great location. Our room had a view of the sea and overlooked a central square. Breakfast was amazing with a great variety of delicious choices. We ate on the rooftop that overlooked the sea. The staff was very friendly and responsive to individual needs. Everything is very clean.
