Hotel La Grange - Animal Chic Hotel

We loved this hotel! I chose it because of the animals, which I love and this made everything so charming. You might expect a place where pigs roam around the building that it would be unclean but the whole place was totally immaculate! The breakfasts were particularly good - so much choice and generosity of quantities. Also, the staff were exceptionally friendly. Our room was quite traditional in that it didn't have many mod cons and the shower screens were idiosyncratic shall we say, but none of this mattered to us at all. Added to the charm. We just loved the vibe and energy and genuine care coming from all. Entreves is a little way out of main Courmayeur but perfectly located for mountain walking (free bus stops nearby get you everywhere) and it's a nice walk into town and back if you don't mind it. We stayed 6 nights and we'll definitely come back with our own dog when we drive to the continent in the autumn.

The only downside is to mention would be choice of places to eat in the village of Entreves. Not a problem of the hotel, but even at the end of June we had to go into town more than we might have wanted because the food choices weren't that good in Entreves. The pizzeria was closed till early July I assume. There was one great restaurant but very pricey. If I were La Grange I would set up a pizza oven or something like a BBQ to fill a hole in the market.

I had a great time at this hotel. it was a lovely animal friendly hotel. The staff were great, helpful and very informative. We were the family of four so we booked one big room. The room was clean, neat with lovely countryside decoration. The breakfast was nice though not many choices but they came in large quantities. The disadvantage I had experienced at this hotel were The water pipe at the toothbrush basin was clogged. Another disadvantage was the misunderstanding of the public parking space. The staff explained where we could park the car and we thought we clearly understood it but unfortunately we were ticketed. We had to drive to the town to pay for the fine at the towns’post office at the price of 31 euro 😔

Breakfast was great The animals in the hotel are awesome! Great experience with Kids Hotel building is older, but well refurbished and nice ammenities - positevely suprised Very nice "apero" at 6pm, very nice and friendly hotel

Not blame on the hotel, but the location is not in main city center - for our trip it was worth it, and there is public transport to easily reach center in 10-15min.

We stopped just for the night while hiking part of the Tour du Mont Blanc and had the most amazing stay Very helpful staff, nice room, amazing breakfast They also have restaurant at the back (not sure if it's part of hotel or separate business) which serves Michelin-quality food And there is residential Bernese and bunch of other cute animals (but they spend lot of of time on the farm rather than in the hotel)

Love the animals and the area. The bus service is great.

The property is fabulous. Breakfast delicious. The restaurant up the road was ridiculously expensive and the staff abrupt and rude. Definitely wouldn’t recommend. Catch the bus into town for some fantastic food and lovely people.

Everything! Staying in Hotel La Grange was exceptional. We fell in love with this place. Stuff is very friendly, you feel like at home. Wonderful breakfast (homemade ice cream from fresh milk was amazing!), cozy rooms, a lot of animals...The village itself is also very beautiful and sweet. We would definetely come here again, if we will ever visit this corner of the Italy. Thank you very much for this wonderful experience!

It’s out of season in this ski resort and so Im aware they may not be at peak performance. I was offered a very comprehensive breakfast menu to be served in my room, which it was and on time. I ordered fruit (an apple) croissant (nice, but tiny) seeds and dried fruit (perfectly fine) and a boiled egg, also fine. Staff were lovely and helped me find a meal off premises as their kitchen wasn’t open.

The only observation is that the bathroom is due an upgrade to bring it into line with the lovely bedroom. Clunky, dated shower that jets water out of the doors if you’re not sure the shower hrad is turned to the wall, all in a shower cabinet with doors that wobbled and a water stained toilet bowl need attention.

I have booked with two single bed , but the property told no marked give us only one double bed then I showed the booking list with two single beds, she told no two single bed any more and no answer why she told i was not booked two single beds. so please check what’s the problem is with booking.com or with the property, thanks.

The location was stunning, the staff were incredibly welcoming, the animals were adorable!

My only complaint is that the music from outside was a little loud from our rooms- we had a lot of early wake up calls and the music would go until about 11:30.

Location of the hotel is very good. The hotel itself is standard and the rooms are fairly easy/moderately equipped. Breakfast is good and the staff is professional and very friendly. Price is a bit high (but we also booked in Italian summer high-season, in the middle of August), but it is also worth something to be surrounded by the Mont Blanc Massif. In summer, the hotel has a very nice garden with beds to chill in the afternoon.

The rooms were a bit small and old-fashioned. But the location of the hotel compensates for that.
