First and the most important thing about this hotel is that it is situated in a piece of heaven, among beautiful trees of different types. The hotel itself is old but this keeps you amazed. The room was very spacious, clean, and the staff was very kind. Even though they don't serve breakfast outside, you still can enjoy it outside with the most incredible view to the Florence city? The garden is astonishing and keeps you impressed with everything you see.

They don't refill water in the room every day, despite the fact that it is an expensive 5star hotel. And, for breakfast if you want Benedict eggs you have to pay 17€, I think that in a top quality hotel everything should be included, and at least one bottle of still water.

this is my favourite place on earth. when I become old and frail I wish to continue here until my death, a bit like Coco Chanel and the Riz, but Italian and ridiculous. it’s been 3 long years since I last visited thanks to covid, and things have changed only for the better. be patient with the place if you visit-they’ve been closed for a while and have a lot of new staff. the essence of Il Salviatino remains though, and there’s nothing like that feeling when you drive up the meandering road to the entrance, open the door and smell the sweet perfume of the honeysuckle, take in the breathtaking view, and remember what heaven looks like.

Still an amazing place, hardware wise they could easily compete with the Four Seasons at a third of the cost…Excellent restaurant

At check in they want you to fill in a form on the ipad in a do it yourself way like in an ibis hotel. Also there seems to be a management chance that has happend so I think the coordination between the different departments could be improved. For example if you ask the housekeeping staff for the way to the spa they don’t even know that a spa exists.

Beautiful! We came to see Florence and you can almost experience it all right at this hotel (we stayed two eve's and did not want to leave) Such care has been taken to make every moment special here, each hallway, each nook, the gardens, the spa, even the drive up is magical. The view is exactly as they show in the pictures. The staff are lovely, especially Sofija, she gave my father and I an initial tour and was so kind in every way. We will be returning with more of our family and friends!

Loved everything. This hotel is definitely suited to guests that love a quiet and peaceful environment.

We absolutely loved spending our honeymoon at Il Salviatino. The staff was wonderfully helpful. The complimentary breakfast was so tasty. The accommodations were spacious and beautifully designed. We can't wait to return.

There was nothing to dislike about Il Salviatino. If I have to be picky and say something that could be improved, I would note that the location is outside of the city center, and their complimentary shuttle only runs back and forth until 8pm. It would be nice to consider the shuttle running until 9:30pm, allowing guests to go into the city center and have a 7pm dinner reservation and then have a shuttle trip home instead of getting a taxi. There are a limited number of taxis, and on a few nights it took us an hour or more in waiting.

The flower arrangements were lovely along with the fresh flowery scents throughout the hotel, inside and out. All the areas of the hotels were just so beautiful and intimate. Paul the Concierge was funny and incredibly helpful. They allowed for a late checkout which gave us more time to enjoy the hotel.

Some of the staff seemed rushed and stressed. Just the little things such as offering to carry our heavy bags up the stairs when we arrived, a hair dryer in the room, giving me the opportunity to sign my dinner bill in the morning, or a bit quicker food/drink service would have made this a 10.

- Limited room service options specially after 10:30pm and very expensive - Cleanliness cutleries, glasses, water kettles...etc were not cleaned properly or need to be replaced - A/Cs in the room were not cold enough

The view from my hotel window of Florence (including the Duomo) took my breath away. The hotel and its gardens as as beautiful as in the photos posted.

The shuttle service to and from the city is great! But it only seats 8 so if you are not there early you will have to get a taxi. And the service back from the city ends early. So you will have to get a cab as there is no walking back from the city center. Having gone at the end of May we took 45 minutes to get a cab to go back. From 10pm to 10:45 pm. We called the radio taxi and none were available.

Amazing hotel rich in Italian/Tuscan heritage, quiet, tucked away location, with excellent pool/spa facilities, fantastic all day dining options, clean rooms & very helpful/attentive staff. Helpfully they also run a shuttle bus to/from the town centre.

Walk to the pool, although transport can be provided, plus the fact service around the pool didn't start until 10am. Shuttle bus could run a little later to say 10/10.30 if permitted?

Property beautiful great for a romantic getaway.. loved being outside of Florence..

Front desk staff at night.. fresh and unresponsive to anything! F&B is slow and needs much needed help to be more efficient. Understand it is a foreign country but many of the restaurant staff barely spoke any english.. Service was very slow and staff not very service orientated
