Extremely clean and well-lit. Our host who picked us up from the airport and checked us in was very friendly.

I was a bit caught off guard at the price of the shuttle, a total of 45 euros cash to get me and my husband from the airport and back, since we used it both ways. I had to get more money from the ATM to afford it at the end of our trip. But there wasn't any easy alternative for transportation despite the airport being so close.

Porto Claudio is a wonderful small family hotel, located just minutes from Rome's Fiumicino airport. They have a shuttle service, for a small charge that can meet you or drop you off (added to your hotel bill). Rooms were spotless, beds were comfortable, breakfast was delicious and more than adequate, with prosciutto, boiled eggs, croissants, yogurt, and cappuccino coffee. We appreciated the bottled water which was in the room's refrigerator. The hotel has an elevator, outside decks, and is close to restaurants. Just a 10 minute walk away is Clementina a authentic Italian restaurant by the sea. A pastry shop is next store, They make great coffee. Very safe neighborhood. Owners are very friendly and helpful. Wi-Fi was good. Supermarket is nearby as is a beauty salon and a fruit/vegetable market.

The city's street c;leaner which was running, parked in front of the hotel at 6:45 AM, so that they could get some coffee from the nearby Pastry Shop. But we were already up, so I forgive them. Some nearby restaurants are also closed for the winter.

I love this family run hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a perfect start to the day, with a great selection of food. The location was close to cafes and restaurants and a nice grocery store for last minute shopping. I love any business that has a resident cat. The owner will provide a contact for airport pick up and drop off and I would encourage travellers to use this as it is associated with the hotel and is less expensive that the standard taxi.

We took a taxi from the Termini area to this hotel ... it was 75E from our Rome hotel. We could have taken the train to the airport and had the hotel shuttle pick us up, but we didn't want to deal with the train and the airport. It was the night before we flew back to the U.S. We could have arranged for a pickup at the airport as this hotel uses WhatsApp for quick correspondence. The front desk was very friendly and helpful. We arranged for their shuttle back to the airport the next morning. That was very convenient. If we had arrived in Rome, we could have also arranged the shuttle from the airport to the hotel. I believe it was 25Euros for one trip (for both of us). The room was very spacious, had a mini-frig, and the bathroom was very modern. The breakfast was delightful with many choices for the Italian version of breakfast. This location was perfectly close to the airport and we will stay there again. Thank you, Porto Di Claudio

all was good

The staff at this family-run hotel were incredibly kind and friendly. The airport shuttle costs money, but that's the standard in the area, and the price was reasonable and the service flexible and efficient. The rooms were spotlessly clean and very comfortable, and having the balcony was a wonderful plus. The neighborhood has tons of great cafes and restaurants to grab a bite to eat, and the breakfast at the hotel is free and plentiful, with wonderful variety. We were traveling during the off-season, but the price was an extremely good value for what you get. I would highly recommend Porto di Claudio for your stay near the Rome airport.

The reception was very acurate, there was a shuttle service from the airport to the hotel and return for 25.$euro which is an excellent price. I would suggest that it is written in Booking.com since I paid a taxi 55.$euro to get to the hotel from the airport. Upon arrival I was told of the shuttle which I immediately booked to return to the airport. The shuttle is a 24 hour service and they are on time. The room was basic but very clean and the bed was comfortable. It is good to know that there is transportation from the hotel to the train station in Rome so for travelling it is super convenient.

All was good

They started immediately upon texting them for transportation from FCO to their hotel. The individual responded immediately, succinctly, and supportively—a big relief. Then, contact when we traveled (Leonardo Express to FCO) was excellent. They guided us to the correct location for their pick-up and then took us to their car! Check-in fast. Then they gave us advice/options on where to eat (dinner time) and how easy it was to get there. The next day, they were ready for our ride to FCO very early in the morning.

Nothing. Every step of the way, including customer service and facility went as hoped for.

This was our 4th stay at Porto di Claudio. It is a nice family-run hotel which provides excellent service - good communication, spacious rooms each with a private balcony (I believe), comfortable beds and a satisfying continental breakfast. We prefer to stay in Fiumicino on our last night rather than trying to navigate to the airport from central Rome in the early morning. Fiumicino town itself has many nice restaurants and cafés so it provides a relaxing and pleasant end to our vacation. The airport is a 10 - 15 minute drive from the hotel and Porto di Claudio provides it own dependable transfer service - both from and to the airport.

Nothing. We will certainly return if our travels bring us back to Rome.

It was close to the airport. The front desk clerk came to help us carry in our luggage.

They had made arrangements for their shuttle to come pick us you at the airport. We communicated with the shuttle driver via text, was told that he was 10-15 minutes away and would text us where to meet him. After 1.5 hours of waiting ( we are to patient) and the driver would not respond to text messages. We finally made arrangements for an uber and 15 minutes later we were at the hotel. And the uber cost us the same as the shuttle would have. The clerk apologized and stated " not my fault"

A few minutes bus ride from Fiumicino airport to Fiumicino centre, it was a good location for our short overnight between our domestic flight and our International flight. The hotel is close to a grocery store, and the many wonderful restaurants in the town of Fiumicino. The host was very communicative, offered us a private shuttle from the airport for 25 euros, but we decided to take the bus from the airport for 1.20 euro each. We did, however, take the private car back to the airport in the morning, and it was well worth the cost. A good breakfast was included. The hotel was clean and very comfortable, and we felt very safe in the location. An added bonus was the small terrace facing the street. The wifi was good and dependable, and the air conditioning worked very well. I would definitely recommend this lovely small hotel.

Nothing; it was very satisfactory and good value.
