The location was perfect. Everything was walkable. The couple running the place are really friendly, welcoming and accommodating. Its a wonderful building with really nice rooms. True vacation vibes.

Pretty much everything! The welcome from Paola and Andrew (and the communication from them before we arrived) was excellent and warm. The room itself was beautifully decorated and very comfortable - and with a pretty view over the rooftops. We also liked the location - in a quieter part of Florence. Paola and Andrew also gave us some excellent recommendations for restaurants within a few minutes walking distance - always a bonus when you’ve spent the day walking the city.

Can’t think of anything. There was no breakfast available but there was an arrangement with the local cafe and we had a good breakfast there at a discounted rate.

A beautiful, period Tuscan building with the feel of a villa. Excellent, large room with a very comfortable, sizeable double bed and good storage. The bathroom was good and clean. Tremendous location literally opposite Pitti Palace and a short walk from everything else you would want to see or do in Florence. Although breakfast is not provided, there is a decent discount available at the Bar Pitti just a few yards down the road.

There are three doors to get through which necessitates carrying around a large bunch of keys all day - could keypads be installed perhaps? A little cold in the rooms if there in the winter and making a daytime pitstop in your room from otherwise relentless tourism, as the heating is only set to come on at 6 p.m.

The bedroom was very cozy despite its size, and the beds (especially the pillows) were really comfortable. Andrew and Paola were friendly and gave us a very informative guide of the room and the quirky elevator. The place is very close to the city center and its points of interest (it's right across the river Arno, next of the Pitti Palace). Overall a great experience that I would repeat if I were to stay in Venice again.

The room has classic wooden windows which don't isolate sound that well (if barely), and the outside environment was quite noisy. I'm assuming this is due to city regulations, the building is very old and they're probably not allowed to modify the windows. I guess this is the price you have to pay for the location. That being said, this is the only downside I could find.

Huge room with air con and comfy bed the accommodation offers great value for money. The host was lovely, meeting us on arrival and helping us into the lift (very lucky to have in Florence), and then bringing our suitcases up for us. There are 3 flights of stairs to climb to the residence which we loved and hated at the same time 🙂 but of course there is the lift if needed. We really enjoyed our couple of days in Florence and would recommend staying at Toscanelli. Perfectly located across from Pitti Palace and Boboli Garden, just walk out of the front door and start walking!

Nothing, this accommodation is great value for money.

The location was in the restricted zone so car without permitted is not able to enter. The host (Andrew) was very helpful and guided me to book a spot in nearby garage with permission to enter the zone. We were quite lost in driving and the host came down to find us and we went to park the car together. The host also helped us to carry the luggages to the apartment. The apartment is very spacious and nice. The view is very romantic. There is also a lift.

It is a bit hard to find the hotel and no free parking or permission to enter the zone without booking a spot in the garage but overall is all good.

Wow, what a beautiful property in such a perfect location within walking distance to all major attractions plus there’s plenty of restaurants downstairs or close by. We were so impressed when Andrew met us outside & transferred our suitcases (via a lift) to our room where we were met by Paola & given the most comprehensive information about our stay. The beds were so comfortable, the linen lush plus there’s plenty of storage space for suitcases etc. Andrew and Paola understand hospitality and we would definitely return and recommend.

Nothing not to like!

I've stayed here a couple times now, I love the location, perfectly situated. The building inside and out is authentic, bedrooms are really spacious and bright. The free map and information pack left for you is a nice touch, they even list the best times to visit or the kind of vibe the place offers. There's so many places to eat but if you love Hot Chocolate, Gino's Bakery offers one of the best I've tried. Just turn left from the hotel, walk towards Ponte Vecchio and you'll see it on the right side. If you're staying at the hotel you're also offered a discount at one of the cafes near by. See you on my next visit!

The location was excellent. The bed was extremely comfortable & the pillows were very good quality. The room was clean. Very secure as there was 2 doors with our own key.Breakfast was not available which wasn't a problem. There's plenty of cafés in the area.

Andrew our host was not very welcoming at all. I found him very abrupt & actually rude. He lacked warmth. There was a lady at reception when we were checking out & she was so friendly & helpful. I feel that she should greet all the guests on arrival

This residence was one of the best events of our 10 days in Italy. The hosts. Paula and Andrew made our stay in Florence truly amazing . They messaged us before our stay, and made sure they were available when we arrived. They assisted us with baggage and explained all of the B&B nuances. A list of local attractions and eating spots was provided. The care and grace of this couple was well above any expectations. We felt as if we were staying with friends in their home. The rooms are very comfortable from bed to bath. Paula showed us two other rooms that weren't available when we booked,. Bot of those rooms were very nice ! The suite upstairs in unbelievably nice with postcard views from the windows! I will definitely make this suite a priority on our next visit. Location is superb. A few minute walk from Ponte Vechio and very close to all of the other main attractions. Pitti palace is directly out the front door. A bus stop is also directly out the front door. Taxi stop once again right out the front door! Plenty of top notch restaurants and shopping all within a short walk. ABSOLUTEY WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!
