Room, hygiene, breakfast and certainly personnel deserve a 10! We liked the breakfast served at the table (more than enough variety). The town of Gaggi is not worth a visit,, but the location of the resort is very well suited for excursions (Taormina, Etna, Giardini Naxos etc.)

The resort management can't help it, but the loud music from a nearby sports field in the evening and the barking dogs at night are sometimes a bit of a nuisance. Just keep the windows closed and the airco on! (The latter is extremely quiet, by the way!)

We spent 4 great days at beautiful Alcantara Resort di Charme and we honestly struggled to leave! Since we arrived we were treated with the upmost kindness and friendliness. We were escorted to our room and showed around the premises, and they even allowed us a quick dip in the swimming pool "outside the hours" as we had had a very long trip, also offering us welcome drinks. Our room was large and comfortable, with a private terrace looking on the erupting Mount Etna. Breakfast was included, very abundant and very tasty. The staff members were genuinely friendly and helpful and always ready to accommodate some small requests: my husband had to work one morning so we asked if they could delay tidying up our room to the afternoon. Also, when I asked if I could please have a dress ironed, they made sure they did it asap and brought it back to our room for me to find when I got back. On the night we arrived we dined at the resort’s restaurant and both service and food were great. The resort is located very conveniently, 10 minutes drive from Giardini - Naxos, about 20 minutes drive from Taormina and Alcantara Gorges River Park.

This is a SPLENDID place to spend a holiday. The breakfast 'a la carte' was the best of Sicily & the dinner was equally superb. We want to mention PINA, the nicest and most efficient waitress we have ever met. We were sad to leave and advice everyone travelling in the vicinity of Etna to spend a few days there!

The reclining seats around the pool are old and not comfortable! I would advice you to buy new ones, because it's such a great play to stay!

The grounds were immaculate spotlessly clean and well kept.The rooms were comfortable and clean and everything worked. Very quiet a good place to charge ones batteries.

The facilities were limited, beside the lovely pools, there was little else.The bar closed at 7.00pm and the advertised restaurant was no longer operational.

Simona was amazing and very helpful. everyone at this resort is very helpful happy and ready to make your stay an occasion to remember. they have my birthday morning very special also!

location, you will need a car for your duration in this hotel and from airport. since the hotel is not near the other tourist location not many options available. Private transfers can be very expensive to add.

very well manicured site with plush grounds and inviting pool. very accessible from Taormina (20 mins drive)and Giardini Naxos. Staff were excellent and truly pleasant and dedicated. very friendly and approachable. Several nearby picturesque attractions.

Pool closed at 6.30pm due to chlorination cycle. This is too early. Dining area outside could be improved. Breakfast menu could be varied a bit more.

Really nice hotel with great facilities, close to Taormina and Mount Etna The staff are first class, friendly and could not do enough for you, especially Rose and Pina who made us so welcome.

A car is a must due to hotel location and food at lunch time would have been welcome

Breakfast was good. The service was great, the ladies serving during breakfast, at the pool and during dinner were super friendly, especially Pina. Pina did service with a smile all day long.

No lunch being served, that was somewhat disappointing. Dinner was expensive.

The resort is very nicely designed with a great pool area. The staff is very friendly! The rooms are spacious. We had a ground floor room with a nice little terrace.

The only thing that we were missing is a tea/coffee facility in the room.

The is very customer oriented. The friendliness and helpfulness of Pina and Simona who really want to make you feel home. Family like run property.

Breakfast is à la carte, no buffet.
