Amazing location! The views were just breathtaking, both from our room and the breakfast room. The staff were lovely, really kind and welcoming, as were the people in town. Breakfast was nice, consisting of coffee, fruit juice, and a fresh croissant filled either with chocolate or jam. The property was clean and tidy and perfect for us as we spend most of our time away out exploring so we don't need anything fancy. There is no TV but for us this is good, we never use them when we go away and the view is far superior to anything on a TV in my opinion. There is a restaurant next door and little supermarket over the road as well as the centre of Castlemola being a 2 minute walk away. We decided to walk to the hotel from the train station, it's a beautiful hike but NOT one to be taken lightly, VERY steep and hard going so you might want to consider the bus, they run quite often and the hotel has a timetable too. We loved our stay here and would happily return and recommend to others.

There was nothing we didn't like. If I had to be really picky it would be that the bed was quite firm and the lack of options for breakfast, I'm not a sweet lover, but that's how i have found a lot of places in Italy and its in no way a criticism, just my own preference.

As easily can be seen by pictures, the view is just stunning. The communication was quick and easy (especially about parking and ZTL) and the parking procedure also was easy. We stopped on the location and were guided to the parking spot which is a few minutes walk away. This was very well. Breakfast also was sufficient for us and very good - but depends always on expectations, we were very happy. The rooms indeed were slightly "old" but served its purpose and we slept very well after all. Considering the location its a very good "price-value" ratio and I'd come back again.

It is not a real "negative" but the light switch from the bathroom had a loud relays, so that it sounded like somebody rung a doorbell every time it was switched. We found a workaround and were not disturbed, but was kind of funny. But again, this is no negative, but just an observation we easily dealt with. Another note is that there are some stairs to do considering luggage.

This is a 2 star hotel, so don’t expect 5 star comfort. There’s no wifi in the rooms. Only in the lobby. Breakfast is basic. A croissant (big though), a glass of juice, toast and coffee. The reason why you go here and will return over and over again is the views. Open the door to your balcony and you have the best 5 star view of Etna in Taormina and vicinities. The staff is lovely. Additionally Castelmola will get you a bit of the crowds in Taormina itself. Panorama di Sicilia is the place to stay.

Incredible view from the hotel, especially our room balcony (Room 116). The staff were very friendly and helpful. The A.C. worked fine and the cost of our stay was very reasonable.

The beds were uncomfortable and the decor and bathroom would benefit from a refit. In saying that, they were more than acceptable for the price and the view made up for it. The breakfast was very basic and possibly the biggest let down as there was no fruit or cereals on offer, it was a Croissant stuffed with either marmalade or chocolate every day. The coffee, tea and orange juice were fine, which is what we went with and then grabbed something to eat when we went out. The noise from adjacent rooms and the corridor seemed to be amplified and echoed loudly, but as the floors are all tiled, this is to be expected.

We loved everything about this Hotel. The location was breathtaking. The room was very comfortable, specious and clean with amazing views. There is free parking just outside the hotel. Breakfast was very varied and generous and the cappuccino was delicious. We also loved the ambience, so welcoming and peaceful, the family run hotel is absolutely a gem of an hotel. Highly, highly recommended. A big thank you to Marcello and son Igor for having given us one of the best week of our lives!

Absolutely nothing

Location is everything for this structure. The breathtaking view will obliterate any other minor inconvenience. Prices are relatively cheap. The parking options are a life-saver for this area where it's often tricky and expensive to park your car. I'm a returning customer and will keep visiting them.

Really old facilities especially bathrooms that would benefit from a full restoration. Owners were at times too focused on giving instructions and requests instead of providing services (e.g. on my last day I got reminded at least 4 times from 2 different people to return the garage keys while I was focused on carrying heavy luggage)

The staff was very friendly. They didnt mind checking us in eventhough our plane arrived an hour later and we were 2h after check in time. The breakfast was enough to keep us full until lunch (sweet breakfast) and the kind man let us park the car for 2h longer so we could explore the little town.

We couldnt sleep very well, since it was very windy and the window shutters were rattling all through the night no matter what we did. Nothing to be done though when youre staying on top of a hill. Still worth it, the view of the Vesuv was great!

We booked the room just a few minutes before we checked-in. Everything was fast and easy. The guy who received us was very nice and helpful. The hotel is simple, spacious and clean. The room and bathroom were spacious, the bed was a comfortable, but the best thing was the balcony with THE VIEW. Do not miss the breakfast with that beautiful view, it is very romantic! Parking was free and easy to find. Regarding location, it is close to the touristic points in Castelmola, but not that close to Taormina touristic area.

Room was ok, we had a parking in front of the hotel, even thought it is limited traffic zone, but the hotel provides you a permit for the days that you are staying with them. Magnificent view on the Taormina and on Etna from our balcony was priceless! The staff was super nice and the city of Castelmola is so cozy, so friendly, we loved it!

The door of the bathroom had some difficulties to close and the toilet was made for really short people, but otherwise we had a great time!

A charming hotel, stuck in time, with fantastic views of Mt Etna. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Parking in front of the hotel was very handy. The front door is up the steps to the right, guarded by "Leonchino", the cutest cat you will have ever seen. Rooms are a "classical design" but everything is clean and in working order. Breakfast was nothing special - some biscotti and a brioche with sweet stuff. The coffee was excellent, though. There was no TV in the room which didn't bother us but some might expect there to be one.

WiFi doesn't work in the rooms.
