We only spent one night at the melia. We had a nice room but it was smaller than it looked on the pictures. The staff were really helpful and efficient. The hotel itself is lovely and it's in a nice area. There was lots of choice for breakfast. We would definitely come back and for more than one night next time.

There wasn't anything not to like.

Check in was a breeze. Check out was a breeze. Breakfast was excellent, convenient and delicious!

I didn't like that there was not parking (except valet) available. That isn't the hotel's fault - parking anywhere in Genoa is almost impossible. I'm just grateful that they had valet, honestly.

Room not a 5* . Beds comfortable but the decor and furniture are old and not maintained at all. Fingerprint all over furniture. Coffee drops etc.. pool area is beautiful if only you and family

It is a good location and a beautiful hotel. I would stay here again is just not a 5* that’s all. The location is perfect . 36€ per night per parking seems a lot. Breakfast ok but not wow .

We enjoyed having breakfast at the hotel, the morning cappuccino was great! The breakfast staff was very kind and helpful. The pool is not too big, but we enjoyed using it. The room was big, bed comfortable, and bathroom very big! The outside noise was a bit annoying, but being tired after a day of visiting the city helped a lot to fall asleep even if you could hear the street noise.

When booking a room and coming by car, please be aware that you need to reserve a parking spot with the hotel, otherwise you might have the bad surprise that there are no more places available. We eventually found a place on the blue marked, public ones, but after a day of traveling, coming to the hotel and needing to worry about the parking was a bit annoying.

Location, facility, staff, cleanliness and the value is unbeatable

Excellent hotel with very professional and friendly staff, makes you feel at home. We received a free upgrade to a beautiful last floor room with balcony and sea view. The room is not large but has really everything you need at top quality level, including coffee machine, super comfortable bed and pillows, plenty of amenities, soundproof walls, complimentary bottles of water. Finally, cherry on the cake, we were offered the beers we took from the minbar.

I really struggle to find any negatives. I really recommend this hotel if visiting Genova

the property was beautiful. The breakfast was nice with a good variety of foods. especially liked the Ligurian section so you could try specialties from the area.

there were some maintenance glitches while we were there- the shower didn’t properly drain, so they quickly moved us to another room. Then in the next room the AC stopped working and some electrical glitches with the light in the bathroom going on and off all night long. the staff was quite responsive but not much you can do at 3 am. Staff did provide our breakfast for the inconvenience.

Everything and especially how kind, always helpful and so carrying the team was. We have been welcomed and felt home all over the stay. We loved the breakfast, the spa and pool area. Everything is perfect at Melia.

Our room was located on the top floor, and had a very nice balcony with see view. Room was clean and quite spacious. Bed was large and comfortable Breakfast was satisfactory. Large choice fo global food (scrambled eggs, fruits) and a few local specialities

About the wellness center. Seems we had to "book" to keep number of clients under 6. But we wore not told so. Pool is quite small and fits no more than 6. Bubbly bath are too strong, and not enjoyable! 2 "wellness" showers. One with body jets. Shower if super hot and jets very cold. seemed like a good idea, but bad in reality. The "Tropical shower" is just too strong and hurts! And the cascade... exists, only as a nice decoration. For a hotel quite close to the centre, it was nice to. have a pool. But in a nutshell, everything was... almost!

The staff were very helpful. The rooms were clean, modern and comfortable. They had facilities available for swimming, and exercise etc. I would stay here again if I visited genova again! Would highly recommend this place.

It was ~ 16min walk from the train station. Which wouldn't have been a bad walk however as we are not from the area our google maps took us through 3 flights of stairs to get to this place. I would just take the taxi next time. (Not really a downside of the hotel it self, just so your aware of the area)
