Breakfast satisfactory although the little croissants did not appear to be fresh.

Had room on 2nd floor “Special Floor” and the extra cost of 8€ was Worth it. Towelling robes and slippers a good touch. Unfortunately toilet Seat loose (See photo) and suggest cleaning staff more attentive and to report to management all problems.

They have a premium guest floor. On that floor the rooms and bathrooms are larger. Much larger than what we would expect from IBIS. Personnel at reception is very friendly and speaks several languages. (German, Spanish, french). Rooms are well isolated. No noise from the corridor. Hotel has many parking places and parking is free.

We booked one hour before check in because we were traveling. Check in was quick and easy. Parking right in front of the building. Gates of the parking close from midnight till 6:00 AM for safety reasons. Room was clean and Wifi was great. Beds were comfortable. For the price and given we are talking about a hotel in Italy, everything was good. Prices of other hotels in this area are way up there, so this was a good hotel for the price we paid. Breakfast was basic but way above a typical breakfast in an Italian hotel. We travel to Italy frequently and would definitely stop there again for one night.

The rooms were a bit cold at arrival but the heating kicked in shortly afterwards. But since we booked only one hour before arrival I can understand. The hotel is in a industrial/remote area. You can find 2-3 restaurants in walking distance but no sightseeing there. For Sightseeing and tourist attractions or going downtown Como you need your car.

I use this as a stop over when driving on the way to the south. It is my favourite hotel to do so, everything is perfect! Excellent breakfasts, great staff and rooms very good. I usually go for premium room but all rooms are very good. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Perfect stop over hotel!

We like the standard in Ibis hotels

The restaurant is closed at weekends. Im not sure we were informed about that in advance of our stay. Also the price of drinks is much too high. We would buy drinks at the bar if the price wasn't so much. We have stayed in this hotel many times but we are surprised at such an increase in charges.

Grandate is a small town located about 46 km from Milan, in the province of Como, and therefore it can be chosen as a destination-residence for those who love traveling by train. From here you can make trips to Como, Milan and Turin, as the hotel is a 15-20 minute walk from the train station. Tickets are very cheap, easy to purchase (from the machine), and the trains, which run hourly, offer civilized travel conditions. The hotel is located in a quiet and airy area of ​​the city and benefits from a spacious parking lot. The rooms are spacious, bright, clean and very cool (I was there in the summer). Exemplary cleanliness, towels are changed daily, garbage is picked up and the carpet is vacuumed. After 3 days, the bed linen is also changed. The bathroom is also cleaned daily. I have only one objection: there is no minibar in the room where you can put cold water/juice/beer. The hotel also offers breakfast, a bit expensive (10 euros/person). In its vicinity there is a well-stocked hypermarket called "Iper", where you can buy daily fresh food, including hot dishes. You can also stock up from "Lidl" or "Aldi", other hypermarkets located near the hotel.

The staff at the reception is young, less empathetic and part of the generation of those who don't know how to answer the greeting (sic!)

The size of the room was bigger than other IBIS I've stayed which was a pleasant surprise. The hotel looks new and the facilities looked very well maintained. Its parking accommodates many vehicles, we never had to worry about not finding parking for our car. The staff was very friendly.

Breakfast was a bit expensive (10eur pp) considering the prices in general in other places (as a reference, we had a good breakfast for two people for 12 eur).

Lovely large airy room, good facilities and very comfortable bed. Also very clean. Good breakfast available. Excellent place for a stopover whilst transiting through Europe, have stayed here several times of the last decade.

Only a chocolate/snack machine available if arriving late in the evening, no savoury options. Everything else was fine.

Breakfast we didn't have, only a cup of coffee. We considered the Breakfast poor. For 8 euro per person we expected something more..so we didn't take

A great location for passing through to Switzerland. Plenty of free parking with cctv. The general area around the hotel is run down. Found a good restaurant opposite that serves Mexican food. Room floor was unclean, carpet had a shard of glass. The bathroom was very clean and bed linen was also spotless just the floor was dirty. Safe in room was handy. Reasonable continental breakfast €10

A little dirty in some public areas and the outside is very industrial.
