The property is in Sant’Angelo, which is a beautiful spot in the south of Ischia. The island is beautiful overall, but from what we saw of it, Sant’Angelo was the perfect spot for us - very peaceful, old worldly in its charm, less busy than some other spots (yet with a nice little vibe nonetheless). Our room looked directly onto the sea, which was spectacular and the most special way to wake up in the morning. We loved our room and balcony, and enjoyed breakfast on the terrace each morning. We also really liked the thermal pools at the sister hotel, and being handy for the local town of Sant’Angelo for drinks and food. The local bus (#1) takes you just about anywhere you’ll want to go on the island and is just EUR 1.60 per person one day. (Otherwise, a taxi to the Castello Aragonese is EUR 50.)

There is no pool at the property itself and you have to take a short electric car to the thermal pools at the sister complex. No big deal for us, but might put some people off. You will also need an electric car to take your luggage to the accommodation from the bus station or taxi stand. We had taken a private transfer on the way and it was included in the price; on leaving the property it cost EUR 20. (The hotel hadn’t told us the price, so worth checking.) The hotel didn’t offer us much information on things to do or see in the local area and staff didn’t always have the info we asked for (for example, we asked what time the bus was at and they didn’t know - in the end, we googled it and found the answer but for a 5 star, you’d expect staff to know or find out, I suppose).

Our room was beautiful, clean, comfortable and well appointed. The property was well maintained and the staff in the hotel building was available with ease. The hotel staff assisted with any touring or assistance accommodations needed and the restaurant wait staff were personable and attentive. The breakfast was beautiful and well balanced. If you are looking for a peaceful retreat I would recommend!

The coffee service could definitely afford some attention and the staff nor the food service at the adjoining beach club facility was consistent with that of the hotel.

The view was amazing, and every morning, we were greeted by the beautiful blue waters. Everything was immaculate and always being cleaned. The staff was terrific and always very helpful. The room was on the small side, and storage for clothes, etc., was minimal. We were traveling a bit heavily --as our stay three days, say in Ischia, was in the middle of a two-week trip, and we stayed at the resort for three days. However there was tons of space to lounge and look at the beautiful sea. Breakfast is plentiful and delicious. We dined at the restaurant one night, and it was absolutely fabulous.

Perfect location at Sant'Angelo. The whole staff is nice and polite. Great accommodations.

We went here for a weekend get away with my mother, the hotel is definetly the best in the Sant Angelo area. The room was spacious, the view was amazing and the breakfast was delicious. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Access to the beach is via shuttles which are free and quick. The closest sea access is on the platform below breakfast area, small but very convenient and peacefull.

The bathroom was very old and needs to be refurbished. We would have appreciated a coffee machine in the room.

trying to book at either restaurant was a nightmare, we were told they were fully booked but when we actually spoke to the staff we managed to get into one. Also no iron available in the room or when we rang reception which I thought was odd for a 5* hotel

Beautifully designed. Very chic and calm. Breakfast was exceptionally good. The staff is so helpful and friendly. And the view/position is calm and magical.

Perhaps not enough storage,.. but it didn’t affect the trip at all. And the sister hotel for (for gym/spa/beach access) has fantastic staff, service, and food is delicious. But sister resort itself would be perfect with a slight style overhaul - it’s a little disappointing as the Miraare is sooooo perfect. Again, this didn’t ruin our trip and we will be back!

The hotel is extremely beautiful and well designed. The rooms are clean and well facilitated with a stunning view.

Almost all the facilities are in another hotel, around 8 minutes walk from the hotel. We didn’t really mind it but it wasn’t mentioned.

Great location. Sant’Angelo is the perfect town to walk around, plenty of restaurants and shops and no cars. The hotel has great views and I loved the loungers by the ocean although they lose the sun early. There is another pool/beach you have access to which is a 10 min walk from the property to get more sun. The property has been newly renovated and is nice and clean.

It’s in a pedestrian area - would be good if they provided a free pick up service from taxi / bus stop (13 euros one way for a short golf cart)
