The breakfast was excellent., plenty of variety. They provided non-dairy options for milk and yogurts. The staff were always very cheerful and helpful. The rooms were very clean. Plenty of towels were provided. The beds were very comfortable. The hotel provides a shuttle to the town of Levanto for €5 each way. Levanto is a lovely town with a beach and it has many shops and restaurants. The hotel shuttle is well worth it as there is a very efficient train service that takes you from Levanto to all of the Cinqueterre towns and beyond.

Only downside is the distance from the airport to the hotel as a taxi costs €300 one way. We hired a car from Pisa airport but our experience with car rental at Pisa airport is we've always been scammed at Pisa airport car rentals with excessive add-ons (double the price of the original car hire - triple this time !!! ). It would be great if the hotel provided a shuttle from the airport at a reasonable rate.

Absolutely stunning hotel, very comfortable and very welcoming, professional, and helpful staff. The hotel is very clean, has a stunning pool overlooking the surrounding mountains and the architecture of the whole place is unique and lovely. The views from the terraces and the room are stunning. When you take breakfast on the terrace, you can see both the mountain and the sea. There is a shuttle to take you up and down to the train station where you can catch the train into Cinque Terre; it’s not free but not too expensive.

Only minus is that the rooms are not well insulated against noise so you can hear noises from neighboring rooms. Luckily, the guests are quiet in the night.

I’ll start by saying that a high rating for this hotel is entirely due to the excellent service provided by the receptionist. She embodies what hotel work should be—friendly, professional, and efficient. She managed the short queue of guests well and met all my expectations as a late-arriving guest. Despite there being no dinner option available, she went above and beyond by organizing snacks and bringing them to my room, which allowed me to get through the night. Regardless of the hotel's quality or the location, this kind of service defines any hotel experience. In this case, it was 100% fulfilled, making this place worthy of recommendation. The drive to the hotel feels like a step back in time, as if everything in this Italian spot has stood still. It’s quite rough around the edges, and it seems some people expect a carriage instead of a car. The hotel itself is situated on a small hill with a nice view. It has ample parking space, a pleasant entrance, and a nice room with access to a patio.

This place could benefit from some investment and attention to detail to truly achieve at least 4.5 stars, or even 5 stars, as the potential is enormous. However, for me, it is a very good four-star hotel with minor shortcomings but excellent female staff.

Very nice hotel located among beautiful and peaceful hills, run by a family. Welcoming staff. General terrace with a sea view. Shuttle to the city center and train station. Great base to Cinque Terre region which is amazing but quite crowded. Here you can find a quiet. I would definitely recommend this accomodation.

It would be nice to have the option to operate the air conditioning/heating in the room, not just from the reception area. The possibility of the evening meal would be something extra and nice, however the center of Levanto is not so far, so it is not a problem to visit some local restaurant. It would be nice if breakfast would include a better quality of local products like tomatoes, mozzarella, focaccia, etc. to let the guests feel the real taste of fantastic Italian food.

We had spent the previous three days at a 5 star resort. Fabulous, historic place. Honestly, Hotel Al Terra Di Mare was as fabulous in it's own way---just not as historic! Our room at Hotel Al Terra Di Mare was quite large, as was the bathroom. The bed was comfortable. Impeccably clean. Staff was lovely and gracious. Complimentary breakfast was a delicious and sumptuous banquet. Our little balcony looked over incredible mountainsides and small villages. Best shower of our trip! I guess it is 4 star instead of 5 because it isn't a 500 year old villa. It's a very homey, charming hotel run by a caring family. Recommend!

Breakfast was good. Staff very attentive. Good location for cinq terre. Levanto has some good returants. Shuttle bus down to town.

We could have used more information about local restaurants. We found them by ourselves. In the evening some basic food would have been a bonus otherwise its a car journey each evening. Shuttle's should be available all day not just specified hours.

The location was beautiful, peaceful with plenty of spots set aside to enjoy the view and listen to the birds. Very beautiful. The hotel shuttle was very appreciated and extras were added to accommodate when possible A few more rides in early to mid afternoon could be helpful. The entire property was extremely clean and graciously decorated. The pool was in a wonderful location to optimally enjoy the surroundings. The breakfast had a good variety , very fresh and delicious. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

The hotel offers a great experience with its clean and spacious rooms. The staff are welcoming and friendly, making your stay pleasant. The breakfast is really good, adding to the overall positive experience.

However, the hotel is situated on a steep hill, which can be inconvenient for some guests. Additionally, the room floor color is rather unpleasant.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The place is clean and comfortable. The location is up on a hill side, so plan on using a car to reach the location. However, the views are beautiful.

I have nothing negative to say about this hotel.
