Hotel Cristallo

Nice room with an awesome view of the lake and mountains. Excellent for breakfast with a view.

I struggle to sleep with the aircon at full blast. I couldn't figure out how to turn it off for the night.

The hotel is VERY well situated in the quiet end of Malcesine - at the best end of the beach, and within a nice walking distance to Malcesine with its restaurants. The hotel had high standards of hygiene - especially they had a good grip on corona. (Yes, it was then!)

Our bathroom was quite small, but well functioning. At the cost is was fine.

Location was 10 minutes walk along the lake to Malcesine. The breakfast was very good. Something for anybody. Nice pool. Typical Italien Hotel , Nicely renovated.

It was a nice experience with staff, breakfast and location of hotel.

Staff was excellent; very attentive.

Beds were poor, and air conditioning was unable to cool room in evening.

The staff were over the top friendly and helpful! The food and variety of food was very good as well. So thankful for the elevator in the building!

Although the a.c. works in the room, it is very old and doesn’t really cool the room off, especially when it’s 90 plus degrees outside. The woman at the front desk was very helpful and found us a portable fan for the room which helped a little when we put cold wet towels on us to sleep. Also, the showers are teeny tiny! The property is very dated and needs to be remodeled. There’s carpet in the hallways and rooms, and even though it’s clean, I still saw a couple of fleas jump up on the white sheets. The pool is very nice, but I wished it stayed open for swimming later than 7:30 p.m., especially when it’s still 90 degrees out and the a.c. in the room barely works.

The location and we had a nice view of the lake. The staff were all absolutely wonderful, reception, restaurant staff and the cleaners. Nothing was too much hassle for any of them and the room was clean.

The breakfast wasn’t the best. We didn’t bother going for it for the final 2 mornings. The boiled eggs were raw. Also not alot of options but maybe I expected too much because the other 3 hotels we staying in in Italy had such a good choice of breakfast. The air con wasn’t great and I struggled to sleep. Also the shower was extremely small and so I had to shower with the doors open…I should point out I’m a petite lady.

In hotel sites there was promised that there is a spa area. spa was closed.

The hotel has had it glory days, and need to be renovated. The rooms are very small and the aircondition did not loive up to todays standard. Did not get the room cold in the night. The location was nice 1,5 km outside of center. A litle bit too long to walk. The breakfast had almost nothing for vegetarians, only fruit.
