We had a lovely stay at The Grand Hotel San Lorenzo. The Suite we shared as a group of friends was very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of options. The main asset of this Hotel however apart from its fantastic location in the centre of Mantova are the staff. Special mention must go to them - especially Maria in Reception and the young Barman. This young team were all very friendly and professional dealing with all situations quickly and efficiently. I hope the Management appreciate them! Just one other thing for the Management to think about and inform guests in advance - it was 10 euros for each drink in the rooftop bar, whatever drink you chose. However regardless of this we certainly enjoyed our time there and the view over the town was exceptional.

- The location & the view, truly fantastic, just wow! The rooftop is really cool as well, worth a visit - The availability, we extended our stay last minute and the staff was very accommodating. Overall, all the staff was super welcoming and kind with us, we felt home - The fact that they provide you with a parking macaron so you can park like a local (if no space, they have private parking) - Freshly pressed orange juice at breakfast (look for the right bottle), always a nice touch

- The AC in the room cannot be controlled, it is centralized, we were cold at night and had to ask for blankets (not present in the room). Staff didn't seem to know where the AC was coming from, looked clueless... - Breakfast was decent although no plant-based milk was available, bread was super hard, and scrambled eggs solidified

One of our best Stays in Italia. The friendliest Personal we ever saw. The room was clean and comfortable. One of the best was the location directly in the center. The hotel has also a nice roof terrace with view to the center.Also terrific was the breakfast: There was all you would like: fruits, best sweets of the region, mueslis, sparkling wine, bacon, eggs, yogurt.. it was so wonderful. thanks you so much for this wonderful night!

Although we were only there for a very short stay, the staff were very nice to deal with upon arrival. The room was very nice. There is a lovely roof top garden bar but unfortunately if you don't access it before 7pm it is for external visitors, which I felt was a little odd. Anyway, it's a lovely spot and really well located to the centre of the city.

Location - right in the centre of the city, nice rooms/beds, quiet, good A/C, really good breakfast with good selection and excellent coffee (barista) and the cafe on the roof - with great view over the city. Staff is really kind and attentive, were calling us to give a driving instructions. Parking is in a separate buiding, but easilisy accessible.

Virtually everything. Super friendly and helpful staff. Great room ( we were upgraded to the panoramic suite), had a lovely balcony, had the weather been ok, would have made the stay. However the hotel is in the perfect location, the only problem is the clock, chiming on the hour. The hotel is close to all the places to see. Delicious breakfast.

Excellent location to restaurants and sites. Wonderful staff. Great size room. Breakfast had good variety and delicious pastries. Parking available in garage which was secure. Rooftop terrace unbelievable views especially at night hearing the bells ringing.

Very nice hotel with excellent location. The staff was very helpful, our room had a very nice terrace and the breakfast was delicious. We had a very pleasant stay in this hotel, and will stay here again next time we go to Mantova.
