Hotel Villa Sara

After BA cancelled our flight back to the UK, we had to scramble to get 2 additional nights’ accommodation near Venice Airport while we waited for the next available flight. Our requirements were simple: - near the airport - not too expensive - had a restaurant onsite - had an outdoor pool And could accommodate a family of 4 at very short notice in the middle of the busy August season. Hotel Villa Sara was perfect... and in the end, the family agreed our 2 night emergency accommodation was actually the surprise highlight of our week in Italy! The pool was at a delicious temperature and not too crowded. There were plenty of sunbeds and parasols The poolside music was at a pleasant volume (and we appreciated the 90s vibe rather than the banging Euro-pop we'd been tortured with the rest of the trip) The pool side bar and snacks were varied and tasty - the local IPA was great! The dinner in the evening was a real treat - the fresh fettuccini carbonara was one of the best I have tested.

The hotel itself is inside an old villa - and it is 3 star and not trying to be modern or corporate and shiny. We enjoyed the rustic charm of closing the shutters at night, but others might not. It could do with some modernisation, but to be honest, we were hardly in the room as the pool is so nice and the restaurant is outside.

The pool was great! We arrived at 1130 (check in was at 2:30pm). The receptionist gave us pool towels and we were able to change into swimsuits in the pool changing area while we waited for the room to be ready. This was really great after an international flight with kids. The pool also had food service. The kids liked the hot dogs and I really enjoyed the avocado toast and Italian coffee. Also, the property is only two blocks from the bus stop which was very convenient.

I want to share my pleasant impressions about the hotel. The combination of bustling Venice and a hotel without the fuss - the holiday was a success. Pleasant staff, friendly hotel owners, beautiful grounds - everything created an atmosphere of home comfort. Will definitely come back again🌟. Аnd have already recommended the hotel to my friends.

We had an absolutely lovely stay at Hotel Villa Sara, and would happily return in the future. It's not a luxury hotel, so don't be expecting a glitzy five-star location - but from our first welcome to our fond farewell, we couldn't fault the place. A genuinely relaxed and relaxing hotel, with friendly staff, a cosy and surprisingly spacious family room, a great pool to cool off in, a generous breakfast, and a perfect location for our inward and outbound journeys.

They won my heart with the Carbonara I had for the dinner ❤️ the hotel has good location, 25 min by bus to Venice and 5 min by car to the airport. The room was clean, warm and the bed was comfortable. The water pressure in the bathroom was more than perfect! In general, it is a good place to stay if you wanna see and enjoy Venice but also wanna be close to the airport. Staff super nice!

It is just 5 min away from Venice’s airport. You can also reach Venice taking a Bus or Tramway, which is a few minutes away, and you can park your car at the hotel totally FOC. The owners are very flexible, and helpful, nice people.

There is no lift and the breakfast is rather basic, although you can eat as much a much you want

Booked 4 nights at Villa Sara. Everything of my stay is perfect, super lovely staff and amazing stay experience! Swimming pool is just awesome! Breakfast also very tasteful, love this hotel so much! It’s also super convenient to park or hop onto a bus within 5 min walk.

The warm shower water is a bit gentle, I like it to be big water :) Just personal preference. Not an issue for normal persons.

You have proper breakfast in the Morning, The restaurant has a variety of options for you for lunch and dinner. The food is amazing, I was in a single room, it was spacious and had good quality furniture, If you need anything you can just ask the reception they are very friendly and will help you with everything, even guide you about how to navigate in Venice. The location of the Hotel is just perfect its closer to the train station, the airport and to Venice city center. Thank you Villa Sara staff for being so friendly, accommodating and generous. I can never forget the warm reception that you guys gave me. Thanks for everything!

The heater will turn on, only in the night and early morning, If you want to stay in the room and if its getting cold you can just ask them.

The wonderful staff! They were so kind and open-minded, we could always some little chat with them, very interesting and welcoming management team. We loved the accommodation being outside of Venice as we were travelling with car - it was lovely to go home for some calmness after a busy day in Venice. Pizzas were great at their local restaurant. We absolutely loved the pool, the sunbathing chairs on the sandy beach part with some Aperol Spritz. I could recommend to those who would also like to have some nice rest while doing sightseeing around Venice.

The hotel and the rooms could take use of some touch up, as everything seemed to be a bit oldish. Please visit them to help them reach their goal of renovating the hotel, I promise it will be worth it.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The facilities were nice, especially the pool. The food was great as well.

The bathroom, especially the shower area, could have been better placed or guarded so that the water wouldn’t get everywhere. Other than that, no complaints.
