- good lively location - rooms rather simple but very comfortable and spotless clean - very good phonic isolation, especially for the rooms facing the canal - VERY good restaurant serving classic Italian dishes on site. The restaurant staff was really great - the 2 Simone were just amazing. - good value and will stay here again

Maison Borella was above and beyond what we all expected. We were a large group of 10 staying for just one night before flights back to the US and wish we could have stayed longer! Rooms are clean, smell lovely and all had working AC (welcomed in July) but the best was the staff. INCREDIBLY friendly and helpful with everything from luggage to directions and even last minute dinner reservations for our party of 10. We chose to eat in their restaurant on-site and we’re thrilled we did. One of the top meals during our 12 day trip. Can’t say enough. What a gem of a boutique hotel in an otherwise busy and hectic part of Milan. Love!

The property is ideally located on the canal with lots of cute shops and dining options. The bathroom was very spacious as well. The breakfast had great options and the staff were very helpful. I would absolutely stay here again.

The area gets pretty lively at night so there is a little bit of noise. The wifi wasn't super reliable and the main light source was tricky to figure out how to turn off (ended up just unplugging it). The third floor is not accessible by elevator, you have to take the elevator to the second floor and stairs the remaining part of the way.

The breakfast was excellent, we really enjoyed the diverse options. I'm vegetarian and was able to eat a hearty bowl of porridge, salad and whole grain bread. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel is beautiful designed, we loved the courtyard. Plus it's in a very hip and bustling part of Milan, which we were happy to discover. Insider tip: request the courtyard-side room for a quiet night's sleep.

Our only minus is the comfort of the bed, they were too hard for our liking. After a long day of walking, we still slept like babies, but more comfortable mattresses would have been the chef's kiss.

Perfect traditional place to stay in the popular and trendy Milan. The mid-century design in bedrooms is very well chosen. Very good breakfast included, with charming view on the canal. Staff was very helpful

When I requested a taxi to go to the airport, the front desk suggested me a private driver as an alternative. I decided to order a regular taxi anyway, less expensive... but the staff orderer the private one instead, that I did not asked for. In the morning, when I realized it, was too late to cancel. The private cab was great but I found the front desk attitude not very honest.

Lovely traditional hotel in a great, vibrant area. The staff were friendly and very helpful and we couldn't be happier with our choice of place to stay in Milan. The hotel restaurant was an added bonus, with a beautiful courtyard setting, good food and great choice of wines. A great place to stay in Milan and much better value for money than hôtels in the central district.

Air condtioning control panel was à bit confusing No tea or coffee making in room

I have stayed at this hotel before and it was a lovely as I remember. The staff and hotel are extremely welcoming and hospitable. Great location along the canal with lots of food and drink options. 20 minute direct walk into the center of Milan.

It would be great to have tea/coffee available in the room. Although the location is vibrant you can hear all the noise in the evenings even with the windows closed if you have a canal view room.

Very quaint, cobble stone street. River running right in front. Staff was so helpful and friendly. The restaurant was excellent. Rooms really nice, very clean and modern.

Getting from the street to the hotel was challenging as you cannot drive from the street to the hotel. The staff were very helpful taking our luggage out to the car. We enjoyed our stay very much but driving in that area is difficult so get a driver or take a cab from the airport.

Upon arrival I was greeted with by the extremely friendly manager at the hotel. The hotels staff in its entirety went above and beyond to ensure were were well looked after, booking taxis, making sure we had seating outside in the sunshine. The rooms were beautiful with everything we need. My room faced the canal and even though it was very busy and loud at night you could not hear a thing once the balcony door was closed. The location of this hotel is excellent next to lots of lively bars and wonderful restaurants and a 15/20 minute walk to the centre of Milan.

The property is located at a bustling street of cafes and the canal. The hotel is run together with 'Maison Restaurant'. The bed and linen was the most comfortable we have had throughout our trip and it helps with a good night rest. Despite the size, it's equipped with a lift and amenities were well provided. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful.

Room is smaller than expected, just enough space for the bed. As it is located along the canal, the road towards the hotel can be busy and made of cobblerstone which made it a bit hard for us to lug our luggage around.
