We had a great time here, worth every penny. The room is comfortable, the staff is kind and the views of the surrounding hills and mountains are incredible. The breakfast is one of the best we had in a hotel. We really appreciated the time spent at the pool, very chill and quiet. The experience at the hotel is impeccable.

I would be cautious about booking a sailing trip through the hotel. I would expect a hotel like Arathena to vet their partners better. Avoid booking a day trip on a vela d'epoca to Maddalena islands. We stopped at only 2 mediocre beaches on San Stefano and Caprera, the third stop that was supposed to be on Isola Porco didn't happen because the boat is too deep and cannot dock in shallow waters. The open bar was a cooler with a few bottles of water and a 3 day open cola. The hotel told us the trip would be 7-8h but we were back after around 5h. It was an unfortunate rip off.

Very authentic old fashioned hotel in a fantastic location - a five minute walk to the centre of San Pantaleo. Very clean. Staff v helpful. Our room was lovely with a balcony overlooking the pool . Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice .

Some of the rooms had v poor outside seating - almost in a corridor. The restaurant which is not owned by the hotel really lets it down . It serves almost only steak and some very unappetising expensive meat based starters . We ate there once and that was enough as there is only so much steak you can eat . Every night almost all of the guests go into town to eat or get takeaways . This means that the bar is almost always deserted . Such a shame as the hotel is lovely.

We loved how welcoming and friendly the staff were! The rooms were spacious and very clean which we appreciated too. Breakfast on offer was the best we’ve had in any hotel so far, they were super accommodating to a number of different allergens - a highlight for us was the multiple gluten free options that differed each day. Would definitely return and recommend this hotel for anyone looking to visit San Pantaleo!

Beautiful location, lovely hotel and pool and the staff were fantastic. The breakfast was really good, lots of choice and very fresh. The apertivo in the afternoons by the pool was lovely. The aircon in the room worked well and the slippers for the wearing on the tiled floors was a nice touch. We booked one of their suggested boat excursions and we were so glad they recommended it, absolutely fabulous day. We would definitely come back.

Shame the restaurant was shut when we were there. When we visited 4 years ago it was the highlight of the trip, hopefully it will open again. The beds were were very hard, slept well but was a bit sore after a week (and we like a firm mattress).

The hotel is located in San Pantaleo city. One of the most charming cities I have ever visited. The hotel spotless clean at all times. Beautiful architecture and staff that is always extremely friendly and professional. Some people complain about the concept of paying 5euros for the beach towel. I absolutely loved it! It makes you to keep one towel for your entire stay which saves so much water! Because honestly, there is nothing wrong with the towel if you just using it for pool or beach. We had a beautiful room with spectacular view. The breakfast was really good, completely aligned with 4star hotel and the price for the hotel. The pool is just amazing! Absolutely stunning! We felt so relaxed and recharged! Will definitely stay again next time! Thank you Arathena!

The only thing I can think of is some hooks for the towel in the bathroom. I struggled to find a place where to place the wet towel. Also having an option where I want to keep using my towel or to be changed for environmental purposes.

Staff were very kind, attentive and accommodating. Always greeted with smiles and remembered very quickly you preferred drinks, seating, etc. Incredible location in a small town with great restaurants all around, quiet in the day and bustling in the evening. Views of mountains and a short 10min drive to small, deserted beaches and coastlines. Great to go for runs & explore from. Breakfast was exceptional - amazing choice, setting and highlight every morning!

We have just returned from the most beautiful stay at Hotel Arathena. We couldn’t have wished for more from the hotel. The staff went above and beyond to look after us and meet our needs. The hotel is spotless and so well looked after. The location is perfect a 1 minute walk from San Pantaleo centre. Highly recommend!

this hotel is a very nice facility, consisted of various rooms like little houses attached to each other. It is a romantic getaway. At the same time, its location is great for exploring Porto Cervo, olbia, costa smeralda or going to the port (Palau) to explore Maddalena Archipelago.

the restaurant at the location is nice but pricey.

The Hotel is fantastic, well located in a great town and so welcoming to its guests. We had a great stay, with great facilities on hand and a great atmosphere.

One niggle might be the Wifi coverage was a little hit and miss , however this is minor and was pretty good throughout the majority of our stay.

Stunning hotel, views of the mountains, quiet location with lots of parking. Great breakfast, great coffee. Our room was spotless. Very clean hotel, nice fluffy towels. 5 minutes walk into the little town.

The twin room beds were a little on the slim side. Only mirror was in the bathroom, none in the bedroom. No option for lunch or dinner at the hotel.
