Location-Right at edge of nice part of old town where the nice stores are The apt is refurbished in an old building. Decorations are very pretty. Nice fresh coffee, pastries and fruits daily. Owner is nice and helpful.

There were three of us in one big room. There was a bed and one sofa bed. The sofa bed was super uncomfortable and slanted to one side. We like to make our own dinner once in a while but here you cannot use the kitchen. This note is just FYI, I would not stay in Palermo next time as it is big city chaotic and dirty. Manedllo Beach, for example, is just 20 minutes away and beautiful.

Giovanni Is a amazing host! I travel alone and he gave me tips to eat out and organize a car the bus and train tickets. The breakfast was perfect and I was also asked if I would like something else additionally. The rooms are very cozy and modern and the mattresses are also very good! The bus to the beach is only 3min away, as is the bus to the train station and the airport. The center can be reached on foot about 10 min and by bus in 3 minutes. Thank you Giovanni! I'll be back for sure

We had the best stay at Mama Tita’s B&B! The location is in a quiet residential area but still walkable to sites and there are many good restaurants near by. Immaculate, stylishly decorated, fresh breakfasts and the most kind host you could ever imagine. Giovanni puts a lot of love into his work. He set up late check in for us and was super helpful in getting us a ride to the airport. His love for his family is reflected in the room names and the beautiful arts that brightens the place. I loved his refridgertor, I asked him to pose by it :)

Giovanni was an EXCELLENT host!!! I traveled with my parents and we absolutely loved this place. I can’t describe how comfortable, warm and homey Giovanni has made the space. It was so clean, and had all the necessary facilities for a short stay in Palermo. It truly felt like this place was created with so much love and attention to detail. I would DEFINITELY come back and recommend Mama Tita to anyone traveling to Palermo. It truly exceeded our expectations.

The breakfast choices could be slightly improved but it was overall more than enough!

It was very pleasant stay. Our host Giovanni was very kind and helpful. He gave us a map and a lot of useful information what to see in the town. Also the breakfasts was brilliant. The pastries were always very tasty, fresh from the bakery and different. Also there were some yogurts, muesli and coffee. The room was really nice and clean. Good gels/shampoos.

Only one tiny inconvenience is that we had to close the window with the untransparent inner door otherwise it would have been cold (we stayed in January). Everything else was great.

This was one of the best B and B’s I have ever stayed in! I was sent very clear instructions about how to get to the property and then how to get in out of hours. The communication from Giovanni was so helpful and it didn’t stop there! The room was incredibly clean, as was the whole property. I had a small issue with the shower which was resolved very quickly by the owner and he was on hand all the time for questions and for advice about the city. The breakfast was DELICIOUS with home made Italian specialities, fruits and cereal if wanted. I was also offered a range of teas (I don’t drink coffee). The area was perfect for exploring the city and was quiet at night so I slept really well. The air con was also a godsend!! Giovanni is a fount of information, from walking routes, to information about things to visit, to bus routes / prices and timetables. He was always on hand to answer any questions I had via Whatsapp which was very reassuring as a lone traveller. I paid €6.50 to catch the bus to and from the airport and the property was about a 5 minute walk from the bus stop. If this was a representation of hospitality in Italy, then I don’t know why I haven’t visited before!!! A fantastic place to stay and I will definitely return to explore more of Sicily!!

There really wasn’t anything I didn’t like! I loved this place, a real gem of a find.

Our host was superb, very friendly and knowledgable on the places to visit and eat in the city and beyond. The rooms were fully renovated and felt fresh and clean. Beautifully completed. It was great to come back after a day of sightseeing and be able to have an afternoon slice of cake or biscuit. Having a fridge with cold drinks was a valued benefit.

I wish the street were cleaner with less litter around.

The B&B was in a perfect location with lots of lovely restaurants and bars close by but a street away so you don’t hear any noise. . It was within walking distance of all the historical attractions in Palermo . Most importantly our room was perfect with a little balcony and a beautiful bathroom . Giovanni is an excellent host he gave us a map with a list of all the sites we should see , he made us feel extremely welcome and gave us the best cake I’ve ever eaten

Nothing to dislike

The place is cozy and sparkling clean as I highly appreciate cleanliness. The place is built in such style and details, as the ceiling from the room we stayed was imitating the inside of a dome. Our host, Mr. Giovanni, was very polite as he treated each of his guests with high attention and kindness, he also gave us nice recomandations,while he also offered his help in case of any emergency or issue encountered during our stay in Palermo.

The staircase could do with a few more light sources.

I usually don't write enthusiastic reviews, but this place, which is a privately-owned B&B and not a hotel, really deserves it. Major pros: - Host very professional, welcoming, flexible, and attentive to guests' needs. - Easy remote check-in procedure with a one-time code to dial to open the doors, and RFID key-chains afterwards. - Spotless clean (I checked the mattress, the bathroom, the shared kitchen and every corner was perfectly clean). - Sweet breakfast with fresh local delis changing every day (small cannolis, cassata al forno, croissants, pasta di mandorle), plus jam, honey, and freshly baked bread (no continental breakfast, but you can ask the host, if you are so sad to be willing to replace a true Sicilian pastries-based breakfast with boring stuff you'll find all over the world ;). - Treats always available in the dining room and fresh drinks available in the room fridge. - Elegant and safe neighbourhood at the border of the historical centre. - Fast wifi. - Walking distance to the Notarbartolo train station (served by trains from/to the airport) and to the centre: the only bus I took in 5 days was that to reach the Santa Rosalia sanctuary outside the city (and it departs just around the corner).

Really nothing. Clearly, the property is a bit more pricey wrt/ other options available, but if you are not on a very low budget, it is really worth the extra money, allowing you to feel at home and giving you full peace of mind during your stay.
