We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Di Plinio We were looking for B&B close to the Pompei ruins. After reading reviews everyone said that the breakfast was exceptional and we were not disappointed. Every morning Anna and Lina served us a lovely breakfast including cereal, yogurt bread rolls sliced cheese and meats.Coffee croissants and cakes too Because we left early on the last day Anna left us a breakfast in our fridge after she had cleaned our room, a nice gesture. Casa Di Plinio is situated on southern edge of the main road that passes Pompei By crossing that road and walking 100mtr you are on Via Plinio a few hunded mtr to the left is Pompei Scavi train station and main Porta Marina ruins entrance. To the right a few hundred mtrs is the less busy Anfiteatro entrance and the main street of shops, restaurants and city square. Also if you turn right along the main road about 500mtrs is the far superior Trenitalia Pompei train station So the B&B is in a good position for everything you will want to visit in Pompei. The owner Salvatore was very helpful giving advice on where to eat, which trains to catch etc.

Casa Di Plinio is situated between the main road and the railway line and surrounded by apartments. The railway you cannot really hear, but the traffic you can, but you get used to it Don't forget this is a really busy city and there will be cars hooting, dogs barking ,mopeds wizzing by and the general craziness that makes Italy such an exciting place to visit. It does not matter where you stay in Pompei it will be noisy .It is what it is!

Wonderful B&B. We stayed in the room 1 which is a self contained apartment. Lovely little area out front of the room with tables and chairs (cars park here too but that did not bother us). Great location walking distance to Pompeii and into the town for dinner. Highly recommend and will definitely stay again. Make sure you have What's App as the property will use this to contact you and arrange check-in. It works really well and Salvatore was great ensuring we were able to check-in with no problem. Breakfast is ham, cheese, tomato and an egg. Plus a sweet bun. and coffee.

This was our second visit to this splendid property during a short trip to Campania, in a different room this time. The booking and arrival arrangements were all excellent and very clear. The room was very spacious and light, as well as very comfortable. Breakfast on the first day was as splendid as on the previous visit a few days before. On our last day, we had to leave before the regular time for breakfast, but we were offered and provided with a marvellous breakfast to have in our room before going to the airport. We again visited the same two excellent nearby restaurants for our evening meals. It was very nice to join in the local family Sunday in the nearby streets and cafes, which was lively and fun. We visited Herculaneum and other smaller ancient sites in the vicinity, readily accessed by car, having seen ancient Pompeii earlier in the week. Great location for our archeology exploits!

Nothing. It was brilliant.

This was our first visit of two during a recent trip to Campania. Everything from booking through directions to the property and to the stay itself were exceptionally good. Martina was a lovely host and made us feel very welcome at this skilfully designed set of properties in a gated area (with secure parking), and very conveniently located for walking to the Ancient Pompeii site. The breakfast was superb – served fluently and cheerfully. The property is also convenient for some really excellent restaurants that are evidently used and valued by local people.

Nothing – it was all great.

Our host, Salvatore, and his assistant, Anna, were marvelous. The other host, Martina, communicated with us via WhatsApp, but we never had the pleasure of meeting her. Breakfast each day consisted of prosciutto, tomatoes, cheese, lettuce, eggs (cooked to order), rolls with butter and jam, cereal, warm croissants, yogurt, juice, coffee (your choice), tea, and water. Fabulous! Our room was quiet, very comfortable, and virtually spotless. Salvatore takes his job very seriously and loves to interact with guests. He also conducts tours at the archaeological site, although we had a tour with another company. The property is gated, and each guest has their own locked suite, so we always felt safe. It's located about midway between two entrances to the archaeological site, which made it perfect for us. It's also about a 10 minute walk from the train station. Again, perfect for us. We'd go back here in a heartbeat.

There were a couple of spots where guests can sit outside to enjoy the weather and a glass of wine or whatever, but I don't recall any shelter or umbrellas in those spots. That's really the only thing that I would "complain" about.

Our stay in Casa di Plinio was excellent, the location is only a 5 minute walk away from the Pompei excavation site. The host was really helpful and made sure it was not a problem that we arrived quite late in the evening. The rooms were comfortable and super clean, the breakfast was excellent and made a great start of the day. Very close by there are lots of restaurants for evening dinner, the city centre of Pompei is worth having a closer look. Train station is 10 minutes walk away from the B&B, with options to go to Herculaneum, Naples and Sorrento and the multiple little excavations sites as well. Would come back for a return visit and choose to stay here.

Martina was a superior host. Thoughtful, pleasant, helpful. Breakfast was HUGE. Large variety of all typical Italian breakfast food. The property was quaint. Pretty and just a handful of other guests. 10 minute walk to Pompeii entrances and several restaurants less than 15 minute walk from the B &B.

Google Maps didn't take us the the correct location the first time. (The same road "breaks" and there is a field a farm houses opposite the correct location.) Martina said this was rare and that typically found them easily, so hopefully Maps will get you to the right location.

The staff was very friendly. They were very accommodating people. The gluten-free breakfast was awesome. The B&B is close to the ruins entrance. Salvatore was very friendly and a good Pompei ruins guide. This is not a luxurious place, but it is very nice, practical and comfortable. We had a great time. We recommend it and recommend the private tour Salvatore offers.

My bed was too hard. However, my husband loved it 😃 I fixed the problem by using the mattress of the rollaway bed on top of the mattress on my side.

Everything was incredible. Salvatore and Anna were just incredible hosts. The rooms are clean, modern, and very roomy. The breakfast was the best we had while in Italy. I cannot recommend this B&B enough, it should get an 11 o12. All around fantastic value, right next to the ruins and a Carrefor for supplies. My wife has mobility issues and Salvatore took great care of us and helped us so much. At the last minute, due to us, we booked a tour of the ruins with Salvatore, he was incredible! Easily the best place we stayed on our vacation.

I liked everything.

I loved this place. I stayed for 9 night in the single room, and though this is a small room, everything was absolutely fine, and there’s a place for everything in it. Even a big fridge. And a small terrace outside. Martina and Salvatore are very kind hosts. You can ask them for anything, and they’ll also ask you, if everything is fine. Breakfast is between 8-10, and is served individually: you can order eggs as you prefer them, you can get different kind of bread, cheese, tomatoes, sausages, yogurts, coffees etc. A very nice breakfast. Very close to the house there’s a big supermarket. The two railway stations are also close, and it’s easy and quite cheap to go by train to any destination in the area.
