Not to be weird, but my spouse and I decided together that when we both die, we'll head specifically HERE to meet up and just be ex-pat ghosts together at this exact location forever. We loved it THAT MUCH. From THE WARMEST welcome we've ever received and being treated like beloved family members ("here is the fridge, help yourselves any time night or day!") to generations of men (mostly named Luigi!) all excited to share their traditional dishes with us to the beautiful mammas and aunties working in the immaculate kitchen, to the terrier running around the main dining area like a waggy-tailed maitre-d, to the WTF ZOO IN THE BACKYARD (is your trip to Positano complete without an ALBINO PEACOCK? No. No it isn't.) to the breathtaking views of the sea and God's Path rock formations to the ultra romantic rustic rooms carved into the mountainside with natural rock to our own private terrace to the stunning in-room bathing tub overlooking actual f*cking PARADISE? Good lord. This is my new favorite place on earth, and my new favorite people. The food is the best Italian I've had in my life. The family makes me wish they were my actual family. They even honked and waved at us in town. I can't wait to go back to Fattoria La Trattoria. In this life and any other.

We had a wonderful time staying here. The property had an incredible view and we were welcomed like family by Luigi on our arrival! We had an incredible lunch at the restaurant and were taken care of. The cooking class was so much fun and a highlight of our trip in Italy. The property was just beautiful and it was incredible seeing all the gardens where the fresh produce was picked daily! It was such a unique experience that we wouldn’t trade for anything!

Unfortunately there were lots of ants on the terrace and so we didn’t get to use it, but it is understandable being in a more remote/farm location.

The family was amazing! We felt like family guests rather than renters. They welcomed us with open arms and went over and above to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The views from this property are breathtaking. Waking up to vast ocean views and the view of Positano city was an amazing start to the day! I would completely recommend staying here!

We loved everything about our stay at La Tagliata. We enjoyed our morning walks to Positano (40 min downhill steps) very scenic and great exercise. You can take a bus into and back from town (bus stop right outside of the property). We arrived by boat and had heavy luggage so we took a taxi from the dock to the property and it cost us $40 euro. Something to keep in mind.

- Stunning view - Spacey and beautifully made room - Warm and friendly people - Nice food with materials from the farm

- Cleaning services were not daily and were upon request - Only fixed dinner menus without a la carte option

The included breakfast was served each morning and was varied and tasty. The staff were super attentive and welcoming. On arrival we were greeted with a warm welcome by Luigi who showed us around. We enjoyed dinner on site which was some very delicious farm to table fare. We also enjoyed the cooking class which was a lot of fun and a very unique and memorable experience. Rento and Antionetta really made the experience extra special. The grounds are lovely with beautiful produce grown right at your door step and fun animals to interact with. Also Antonietta connected with me via WhatsApp before our stay and was super attentive in answering any questions that I had.

We couldn’t get the air conditioner to work but it wasn’t much of a problem as it was cool enough. There are roosters on site which start up at about 5am and you could hear sounds from the restaurant above the room but it wasn’t much of a bother and easily solved with a set of ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper. The road getting here was quite hectic but nothing that our taxi driver couldn’t handle.

The staff, the food, the views, the room, everything was perfect. If you don't manage to book a stay with them at least book a meal with them. All food comes straight from their garden, so fresh and so tasty. Papa luigi, Toni, luigi and all the people here have created something special! We will be back

The drive up the road was a bit scary, we had a small car so was not too bad. Bus takes you up and down the hill to positano itself right outside the property but getting around here is an experience!

-Warm welcome -Nearby bus station -They have their own restaurant -Breakfast is nice -Dinner is pricy but is lovely with a lot of meat options, come hungry! -The view is superb -The room is spacious with it's own seating area outised overseeing the sea, incredible sunsets BTW!

-Far away from the coast, you'd need to take the bus down and the schedule for that is very confusing and never on time. You can hire a private car but that's super expensive. -You communicate with so many people from the family owned property and you don't really know who's in charge all the time. I wish they could specify who to talk to so you don't get lost.

Beautiful views, very friendly and kind staff. BEST Italian family style homemade food so far on our vacation.

We were only there 1 1/2 days (2 nights) we could not get any transportation down to the town/beach area so we were stuck in our flat all day until our prepaid transportation showed up the following morning at 6am. We would have loved to see and experience Positano the one full day we had the chance to.

If you are coming into Positano and want to make your way to Fattoria La Tagliata, you can take a 30-minute bus or car ride. Once we arrived, we were immediately greeted by family members who own the property and they took care of our bags. We were escorted into the kitchen of their restaurant, where we were then greeted by Nonno (the family patriarch/owner/founder), and then given glasses of prosecco. We were introduced to the entire family and it was one of the most welcoming experiences we had ever had arriving at a place of accommodation. After a small tour of the restaurant and part of the property, we were escorted to our private villa, which had its own private terrace with the most insane view of the Amalfi coast and down into Positano. The villa itself is gorgeous and was built by Nonno himself. It's private and close to all facilities, perfect for any type of trip, but especially for a romantic getaway. It's very worth taking the time to have at least a few meals at their restaurant as everything is grown and harvested on the property and the service is wonderful. They are also willing to accommodate serving your meal to your room or terrace. Make sure to ask for a bottle of their wine along with your meal. If you are interested in the cooking class, be sure to book ahead of time. We didn't get the chance to participate but we did get to see a class in progress and it looked like everyone was having a blast. We stayed for 3 days so we had a lot of opportunities to spend time with the family, get to know them, and feel true home-grown Italian hospitality. Out of our entire 2 and a half week trip, this was our favorite place we stayed at! It's truly exceptional and if we ever return to the Amalfi Coast, we will absolutely be going back.

The view is spectacular, the food is amazing. The staff was really kind, nice and helpful, all together a place where we will come every single year!

We enjoyed the food so much, what we would recommend to have more egg dishes for breakfast, since the breakfast was the leftover dinner from the previous night.
