The staff was very helpful and nice. The location is just perfect, right near the Pantheon in a walking distance to everything. The room was spacious. The building is old and the hotel is actually a very big apartment so don't expect a big lobby or anything. Although our room was on the first floor with a window on the street, there was no noise at night. The breakfast was very good although because of COVID it was served to the room.

Our window needed fixing, it was hard to open/close it. I was expecting a hotel from the view in the Booking listing, didn't realize it was an old building and an apartment. It did fit us at the end but there was a gap in the expectations

Location is everything and you are just steps away from the Pantheon here! Surrounded by countless gelateria (some of the best I’m told), cafés, bars and restaurants. So much on your doorstep and myself and my teenage son walked to all of the sights we managed to squeeze into our stay. We didn’t use any of the transport as it all seemed within easy enough reach from this great property. ** Just bear in mind it’s locality can bring a little noise in the evenings and early mornings BUT after all the walking, eating and excitement it didn’t effect our sleep whatsoever! Speaking of which - the beds were very comfortable with good quality, fresh linen. Housekeeping is great here with fresh towels daily and toiletries and toilet rolls topped up. Those small touches make all the difference and added to us feeling well cared for. You will receive a warm welcome here, the staff are exceptional. Nothing seemed too much trouble and they were always friendly and courteous. Travelling alone with my son, I also noticed how secure the property was kept and although there is not a 24/7 reception as such, I knew I could call at any time for assistance. I found this particularly reassuring. It really was the perfect little bolt hole to explore beautiful Rome!

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like

Perfect location. Most comfortable bed of our stay in Italy. Staff helped arrange airport transportation and provided a map of Rome on our arrival.

When we arrived, no one was answering the doorbell (to the hotel on the 2nd level of the building). Fortunately, a neighbor was entering and let us in. We found our room keys on the counter, and found our way to our rooms. After 20-30 minutes, staff arrived and apologized. It wasn't a big deal, but it would have been inconvenient if we had to be waiting out on the street the whole time. There are 2 hotels, and the staff member had to run to the other one.

You really could not ask for a better location, around 20 min(max) walk away from pretty much everything, this is one of the best locations we have ever stayed in during any break. The mini fridge was regularly topped up with soft drinks, just what you need after a long day of exploring before you head out for dinner.

Because it is only a very small hotel (more like set of apartments) we could hear people passing our apartment quite loudly. It left us feeling like if someone was passing they could hear absolutely everything we were saying. Also, mornings were quite loud as staff went about their business because of the lack of soundproofing (not great for those that like to sleep in past 8am). Apart from the lack of soundproofing, it was a great roomy apartment.

We did not take advantage of the breakfast. We preferred going to the bar across the street for our morning cappucino (excellent!) The location of the property was very good. It is literally around the block from the Pantheon and in walking distance to several points of interest such as the Trevi Fountain and Piazza Navona. There is a taxi stand conveniently located across the piazza for attractions that are further away. The room was clean, comfortable and air conditioned. The staff was polite and helpful.

Although it wasn't an issue for us, the rooms are located up two flights of stairs. Although there is an elevator it does open on the same level as the reception area and there are some additional steps to get to the rooms. This could pose a problem if travelling with large or heavy luggage, strollers, etc.

The location was fantastic, very central and easy to navigate to the major destinations. Dennis was very helpful in guiding us to these spots and was great at accommodating our late arrival. There was a lot in the property that was done well, but a few things could be improved.

The shower in Room 402 was spewing everywhere and not trained in one direction; this should be fixed for future visitors. Additionally, the shower door was a bit hard to manage to open and close and was a bit stiff. The wifi was also very sporadic and weak.

It was way more than I expected...it really would suit a family or 2 couples as the apartment was enormous. I was alone there and it was so much better than my home. A surprise extra kitchen, extra bedroom, massive living room. I wish it were mine. The Pantheon is at the door. Great cafes and restaurants all about. Easy to walk to the major monuments. It felt very secure and being at the back of the building, was peaceful and quiet.

I found it a bit difficult to get in and out of the shower. A strange design there. The kitchen isn't really for cooking. I understand that it would be too much to clean, a decision made by management. There is a balcony that you can't get on to, but would be nice to have a little table out there as in other apartments in the building.

super close to pantheon and lots of great food options. centrally located so walking anywhere was no problem. taxi stand also close if needed.

not all 'rooms' are on-site .. you may be walked across the street or around the corner to another building. that said, we opted to have breakfast included but since it wasn't on-site for us and the in-room option wasn't available, we threw money away that could've been spent elsewhere. that would have been nice to know at check-in.

The location was brilliant, breakfast good didn’t expect scrambled eggs and bacon as well as all the continental food, very pleased to be able to make a cup of tea at anytime . The staff were very friendly and helpful, would definitely stay again

In the description of the hotel there is no mention of stairs to get up to the hotel which would be very helpful. In the hallway there should be a sign saying where the lift is which would help when you first arrive ,also a sign for the lights on the stairs as it’s very dark area, the hallway could do with painting first impressions count .

La Residenza del Sole al Pantheon was excellent, I would stay here again. Francesca was extremely nice, hospitable, helpful, and a great hostess. The location right next to the Pantheon and in the center of the city is unbeatable. The room we got was quite large, and though I dont think that is the norm it was definitely welcomed. It was very clean as well. The breakfast spread available each morning is a large part of why I would stay here again, it was very nice to have and contained many options.
