This is a lovely hotel with clean rooms and friendly staff. The breakfast was very good - plenty of choice and all fresh. Our room wasn't huge but this isn't a problem when you're on a city break when you're out and about all day and night. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was clean with complimentary toiletries.

It would've been nice if water was supplied and there were no tea and coffee making facilities. So if you want a drink, you need to either get one before you return to the hotel (there is a McDonald's 1 minute away where we bought coffee and tea to take in with us) or pay for the water out of the mini-bar. Not a major problem, but something to be aware of.

Everyone was very nice and accommodating, super helpful with tips and places to go eat and visit, as well as helping us during the checkout process. We left our bags there almost all day, and they helped us get a taxi to the airport as well. The room was a little smaller than my liking, but very clean and comfy. The breakfast was good. Location was perfect, super close to the metro and walking distance from all the cool places and streets. Honestly, would book again if I go back to Rome 100%.

The room was very tiny but to be honest, we spent the majority of our day outside the hotel, so the size wasn't a problem since the bathroom was nice and clean and the bed was comfy.

The hotel was very clean, staff very helpful and friendly. It has some lovely ornate features. I felt safe, and it was easy walking distance to cafes, boutique shops, and transport. Breakfast was lovely.

No tea and coffee in the room, which is needed after a long flight. For a double room, the bathroom, as with the shower, was very small. The bedroom was small, and there was not much space around the bed with no room for cases.The bed was too hard for me.

Absolutely all staff were magnificent but breakfast was sometimes a free for all or scramble as they used to run out of hot and cold food which always replaced but unfortunately was not replaced as soon as it finished so a lot of us were kept waiting 5 or 10 mins a couple of days which isn't good when you have planned the day, otherwise fabulous whole experience overall. Great hotel and reception was really knowledgeable and always helpful anytime.

Perhaps because we arrived on my husband's birthday, we were upgraded to a top floor suite. A big, gorgeous room. The only negative was that ants started coming in around the bathroom window. The problem was immediately addressed and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Plus, a wonderful breakfast is included.

We liked the location which is 5 minutes walk from Piazza del Popolo, 10 minutes from Spanish steps, The service from the Reception staff was very good as was the plentiful breakfast which was included in the room price. We needed a room for one night before be moved to our air B and B apartment and this was satisfactory for one night.

The rooms and bathroom are extremely small, which is expected in a European City. There is no coffee making equipment in room and the shower is a very tight squeeze. If someone is on the taller or larger side, it will not work. If we were planning to stay longer, I think the room size would be an inconvenience.

Lovely clean room with great pillows! Very comfortable! Room slightly on the small side but very authentic. Really enjoyed our stay and would return.

Wifi didn’t work in our room which was really the only negative. Rooms also on small size.

I liked everything about the elegant River Palace Hotel. The staff were welcoming, friendly, efficient and helpful. It was in a great location for what we wanted to do, with shops and restaurants a short walk away. The front desk were happy to call for a taxi, which always arrived within minutes. The buffet style breakfast had lots of choice, with hot food also available. My room was small but adequate for my requirements over the 3 nights and spotlessly clean. I would love to return some day and highly recommend it.

Nothing! (Well, maybe a coffee maker in my room as I am an early riser, however I know this isn't standard in lots of European hotels - and breakfast is from 7am so that was great.)

Very accommodating at upgrading to a larger room. Excellent service all around, and a great location.

Regular rooms were small with little room for luggage, but fortunately I was able to upgrade. A Hotel restaurant would’ve been nice, but there were plenty of places close by.
