Strategically located between Pisa and Lucca, this little hotel features some of the most spacious rooms we have stayed in! The breakfast offers a solid variety of options - continental by default with eggs available upon request. The staff are all amazing and eager to assist in every possible way. We very much enjoyed our two nights of honeymoon there and will certainly come back when we are in the area.

One thing that needs to be fixed is the water pressure in the shower; it is manageable and one gets used to it, but it takes a while to shower. We've informed the staff and we are sure this will be fixed!

- the property is close to Pisa (8 minutes drive) - very quite, clean, spacious and comfortable - it is nicely decorated - host speaks very good English and very helpful and was flexible with our check-in time as we arrived late in the evening - breakfast is good and cheap - we were given keys for the room, main entrance and gate so we can go out and come back anytime

no restaurants close by and need to drive but we got a car so it was not a concern for us

continental breakfast with fresh and warm pastries, but the bread is frozen, you should toast it. i think in italy you should have fresh italian bread also. nice cutlery and plates.. the whole building is like a millionair´s home from the 80´s 90´s... the lamps, the furniture, library...

fresh bread pls.., the pressure of the water in the shower is generally problem in italy.

Breakfast was exceptionally good. They did everything to satisfy our German habits 8-) ,what you absolutely can't take for granted there, plus: * the best croissants I encountered in my life (were freshly-baked! and warm), * great juice, * lovely cappuccino * super-delicious fresh! cake, ... to name a few (more Italian? ;-) ) things only ...

Beautiful house and rooms, comfy bed, good coffee and tasty breakfast, we liked everything. Very helpful and welcoming hosts, no problem to speak English! 11 out of 10! We have been in a quite few hotels in Italy, and La Dimora Del Bassotto is definitely the best if you are looking for comfortable, cozy, stylish and clean place to stay. Hotel is managed with love, and it’s very pleasant to be there. Highly recommended!

Really sweet people, beautiful house, room and bathroom. Great airconditioning. If you want to have something specific for breakfast (like eggs), just ask and the next day they have it.

Only thing missing is a small refrigerator in the room.

Very friendly hosts and comfortable big rooms :) Italian (sweet) breakfast was also good. Fancy bathroom (outside on the opposite of the room) and in general the hotel facilities. Pisa was just 5-8 minutes by car away :)

It's sometimes a bit loud because of the passing trains.

I liked everything, helpful friendly smiley owners, well maintained wide house with convenient parking and perfect garden, wide and comfortable room with excellent beds and good bathroom. Beautiful house, comfy beds, easy parking, convenient location, very nice hosts.

The pressure of water in the shower was very low. Also it was necessary to wait a long time for the hot water to arrive. But it did not spoil our overall impression.

Our hosts treated us a family. We enjoyed every moment. House is beautiful. Hosts gave us great tips on what to see and where to go.
