- Good looking, fresh, clean rooms with enough space. - Comfy bed - Awesome breakfast. I can't even remember where I've had better breakfast. - Good air-conditioning (cold/warm). Doesn't dry air so you wake up fresh rather than with a hangover. - Parking

- Internet is terrible. If you'll need to spend some time at work, during your stay, then it isn't your choice. They should fix it asap. And problem isn't a WiFi signal. It's more general. - shower cabin to small - it's a farm zone around hotel, so sometimes it smell sh... - If you are looking for a lake/mountain view - it's also not your choice.

Hotel Dogana is in an excellent location. It's a few minutes' walk from the lake side and equidistant from Sirmione and Pescheira. Buses run regularly to both towns from outside the hotel, and the owner has several bicycles which can be rented very economically to travel back and forth. The cycle lane network in the area is good, and driving behaviour is for the most part very responsible. The hotel has nice facilities, the staff are very helpful and friendly and we were impressed by the standard of cleanliness.

The continental breakfast service is good, but it would be nice to have more fresh fruit. The scrambled eggs were left in a small oven and were hard and unappetising.

I've had an amazing experience staying at Dogana. everything all facilities are well-maintained, clean, and give an overall impression of being newly renovated. Check in process is easy and quick. Max at the reception was extremely hospitable and accommodative. Internet: I've had to take care of a few work related calls during my stay. The speed was high enough to handle video calls with ease. Also, there were no cellphone coverage dead zones neither in my room nor in breakfast, or reception area. Bed and linens: Mattress was firm but with enough give to get comfortable sleep. I didn't have any aches after a night of restful sleep. Comforters matched the season and kept me warm at night. Bed linens were all bright white and again gave me impression of being new. Towels: Clean, well maintained, without any musty smell that you get over time with use. Breakfast: The quality of food and selection served for breakfast was on another level worthy of a breakfast served in a 5 star hotel. In Italy quality of produce far exceeds that of the US. breakfast included scrambled eggs and bacon, variety of deli meats, cheeses, beverages, pastries, fruit, cereals, etc. whatever your preference is you’ll find something to eat.

I have no complaints about this hotel. It’s a hidden gem among other hotels. if you prefer to stay at the hotel with freshly renovated facilities I would choose to stay here. This will be a great option to stay if you travel on a car. Taxi service in Sirmione is great but keep in mind that Italians work to live and don’t live to work.

Very helpful staff. Spotlessly clean. Comfortable room with large bathroom with a good shower. Breakfast buffet was the best I have ever experienced. Great large pool with ample sun loungers, and an array of bicycles for hire for €5 per day. Adjoining restaurant serves a very good menu using local ingredients, and Maitre D named Irina gave great advice on menu and wine list. Highly recommended.

Small issue with malfunctioning elevator was resolved immediately by the manager.

Apartment is near the hotel, some 50m away, but you can use hotel facilities and breakfast was served at the hotel. Breakfast was very good, with plenty of choices. Apartment was clean and well equipped. Location is near the Sirmione, but you cannot walk to the town central area, because it is few kilometers away. Bicycle or car is a must. Parking is available at the apartment. Staff was very friendly and helpful

Our apartment was on ground floor, with not much natural light, and facing the street, but it is still good value for the price, especially if you just use it for a sleeping, as we did.

Peacefull location although it doesn't seem like that because it's right on the main road. Room was clean and tidy. Breakfast was really plentiful and well prepared with nicely built up buffet table with a lot of options that are not available in many 4 star hotels. Staff was nice and hospitable and very informative so we give a big tumbs up for that. We recommend it fully.

We couldn't fault the Hotel Dogana, the hotel was beautiful. The facilities were great, the pool area was lovely, the room clean and comfortable. The staff were very helpful. Breakfast was great. It was a great location and you could easily get around the area, the hotel had bikes to use free of charge and you could easily use the bus, the stop was right outside the hotel.

There was nothing we didn't like.

Nice hotel in a calm place. The interior is kept in old Italian style, so it's really attractive and cozy. Rooms are new, tidy and clean. On breakfast you can find cold and hot food, pastries as well as good coffee. Moreover we liked the restaurant, it was really perfect!

This hotel was perfect for the overnight stop along our way to Milan. Excellent breakfast, clean, available and professional staff, spacious room, free parking, good price (60 euro)...

The road noise gave us a little nuisance. Probably it would have been better to take a room towards the lake. It's a pity the attic rooms have only the ceiling windows.

We had not realised the lack of reliable public transport around this area so I would say it’s not the easiest to get to without a car or taxi!
