I loved the atmosphere and the staff. From the moment I booked the holiday, I started receiving messages about transport and reminders about the shuttle. I found them very accommodating and really nice. It has a family atmosphere, a place where I would live to return. I could see everyone working really hard from the reception to the kitchen and cleaning staff. The dining room was amazing with gorgeous tiles.There were a couple of tinny issues but they were mended in minutes. I had my son with me. He was really Lound a messy as usual, as there are at this age, but they didn't seamed to mind. I particularly loved the lady that served us. I feel bad that I do not remember her name. She was a motherly figure. She was very kind and friendly. The breakfast was fairly diverse and satisfied everyone from our group ( which rarely happen). I loved the fact that they also served freshly squeezed orange juice. If the traveling to the place will be easier, I would return this year, but due to the turns, we are not that keen. Overall, it was really worth it. Thank you !

I would have loved to have olives in the morning, as this is a must for me and because of that I wanted to give a 9. However, it wouldn't have been fair as everything has exceed our expectations. So, for that reason, they deserve a 10 or A**. Thank you and I hope to return. PS: the pictures don't show the really beautiful place.

Smaller family owned and operated hotel with beautiful views and convenient location. Parking was easy and local transportation stopped right in front of the hotel. Owner was helpful in many different ways, from pointing out things to do, helping with money exchange, etc. Breakfast was fresh and offered a large spread of choices. Restaurant was excellent, so good in fact that we took most of our evening meals in the hotel. View from rooms and restaurant were wonderful.

Local roads are narrow and winding and more difficult to drive than I felt comfortable. This says nothing negative about the hotel, just pointing out the facts about driving a rental car in the Sorrento area. We stayed in 12 different hotels in Italy and Germany, and this was the best experience of them all.

Amazing view of Sorrento, Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius. Stunning sunset visible from our room balcony and dining room balcony. Buffet breakfast was incredible and consisted of a very big variety of hot food, pastries, fruit, yoghurt, bread, selection of cheeses, spreads, cereal, freshly squeezed orange juice and tea/coffee. Dinner was absolutely delicious so we decided to eat at the hotel every night. Dino helped us booked 3 tours which were all excellent. The hourly hotel shuttle to/from Sorrento was extremely handy. Very good wifi connection. Loved the pool and sundeck. Used the laundry and clothes line. Perfect stay and would stay again. 2nd generation family business that take pride in their hotel and really care about their guests.

I’m already thinking of bringing my family and perhaps organise a group trip with friends to Il Nido again. If you like the best of both worlds - staying on a mountain with breath taking views and easy access to town (free shuttle bus that takes 15 mins), then you’re in for treat and something quite special. Breakfast with sweet treats as well as healthy options. The avocados are always ripe and perfect! Simply delightful. OMG - orange machine with the sweetest orange juice I’ve tasted. Dinner is yummy too! Il Nido is an oasis of calm and quiet. Staff are very friendly, professional and with a touch of homeliness about them. The room is spacious, clean and tidy. The owner told me they celebrated their 60th anniversary this June, so an establishment with lots of history. Thank you everyone for making my stay such a great one. I look forward to returning soon.

The location , as is beautifully situated on the mountain. Very clean, breakfast was very good.

I did not like the shuttle service. I thought that during summer months there would have been more service. Going back to the hotel from meeting point was very hectic. Even if we were there half hour before to wait in line, it became chaotic. I feel this puts a stress on your vacation. You have to waste half hour waiting for shuttle to go back to hotel at night or you risk not getting on the shuttle. I suggest more shuttle service. This would be a factor if I should come back to I’ll Nido

I like it so much I did not want to leave. The property is beautiful, very clean. Amazing views. The bedrooms were very nicely decorated and the bed very comfortable. I had a small terrace and would sit outside to have my coffee or tea looking at the beautiful panorama. It’s a family run operation and they couldn’t be nicer or more serviceable. They have a fabulous breakfast buffet. Unbeatable! Also their dinners are absolutely delicious. Close to a Michelin. Thank-you Dino , Gianni and Candida for a most enjoyable time. Hot tub not working - outside lounge area/pool could be better

Our stay at Hotel Il Nido was so special❤️🇮🇹 The triple room and bathroom were large, clean and modern with a view from our balcony of the Gulf of Naples, Mt. Vesuvius and fireworks almost every night! Complementary breakfast was wonderful with hot scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, pastries, fresh fruit, cheese and much more with a coffee machine making every kind of coffee and nan unbelievable fresh orange juice machine. We loved our warm & friendly hotel manager, Dina who helped us in every way including setting up breakfast early on our departure day and giving us each a lovely Sorrento gift!

The only little thing I would suggest is giving a choice of some different pillows. The beds were very comfortable but the pillows were a bit flat and hard. I still slept so well in the modern self controlled air-conditioned room.

The spectacular views were the most memorable of many good things about Hotel Il Nido - in particular from the terrace overlooking Sorrento and the Bay of Naples. On this terrace we spent several fabulous evenings enjoying excellent food (and drinks) as we watched the sun go down over the bay. The breakfast was also very good. The owner and staff in this family-run hotel were friendly and helpful at all times. The hourly shuttle bus between the hotel and Sorrento was also excellent (and necessary -taxi prices are prohibitive!). A great place for a relaxing week in Sorrento, close to Pompeii, Naples and the Amalfi coast. Idyllic!

Bedroom was a little dark during the day - window could have been bigger.

We were blown away by this hotel! The family owned hotel was beyond are expectations! Dino was extremely accommodating and even dropped us to the train station in the early hours of the morning when the shuttle bus wasn’t running. This hotel has spectacular views looking over Sorrento, in and excellent location and has an hourly shuttle bus into Sorrento town. Breakfast was included and had a wide variety of choice. We had dinner in the hotel and it was very tasty! The room was spacious, clean, great shower and A/C. The hospitality and kindness we received at this hotel was truly exceptional. We would 100% recommend hotel IL NIDO to friends and family and will be returning in the future. Thank you Dino and all his staff for a spectacular stay!
