The staff were very helpful. Views are beautiful. Breakfast is varied and tasty. Room is cozy. We got a great price and were absolutely thrilled with our stay :)

The location is somewhat inconvenient. There is a shuttle and city busses to take you to town or elsewhere but difficult to plan around that and traffic especially in the mornings if you need to make a tight connection to a train or ferry.

Friendliness of the staff, who were always on hand to help with advice on day trips and getting around. The breakfast was excellent. Rooms cleaned every day. Offered a free upgrade on arrival for 2 days which we were pleased to take up.

Nothing! A very minor suggestion - would have liked a kettle in the room to make tea.

Wonderful stay. Outstanding breathtaking views. Clean comfortable rooms, delightful helpful staff, great pool area, entire place in immaculate condition. Fine breakfast and restaurant. Shuttle bus was convenient but beware can be overcrowded in evenings returning from town. One small issue is electricity to room is off when you leave with the card key, which means the fridge in the room goes off when you are not there, so you cannot keep any food or drink cold.

Location was incredible. The free shuttle was instrumental for commuting to/from Sorrento. The shuttle drivers were personable, professional and quite entertaining! Our view from the room was absolutely breathtaking. 10/10 would recommend to anyone!

This hotel, while somewhat dated, exuded a great deal of charm. The pool area was a lovely spot to relax, offering beautiful views, and the staff were genuinely kind and attentive.

However, a few issues detracted from the overall experience. The beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable, consisting of two small single beds pushed together. On our first night, we found ourselves constantly slipping into the gap between them. Though the staff kindly added a mattress topper upon request, it did little to improve the situation. Additionally, the walls were quite thin, making it easy to hear everything—from conversations and televisions to the sound of toilets flushing—which can be disruptive for light sleepers like myself. The location was also somewhat distant from the town center. Despite these shortcomings, the hotel had its positives, particularly the ambiance and the lovely pool area.

A beautiful hotel with stunning views of the bay. The hotel is located about 15/20 mins drive into the mountains from Sorrento town centre but the free shuttle bus and the local bus made it easy to get into town and to explore the region. It’s location was perfect for a relaxing stay. The room was clean, tidy and had all of the expected amenities, and looked better than in the images we’d see online. We had a sea view balcony room, and the view was incredible. The pool area wasn’t massive but when we were staying was always relatively quiet. The snack bar during the day offered a good lunch menu. The staff were all very friendly and went above and beyond to ensure our stay we excellent.

The restaurant and bar was quite expensive, which given its location offering a lack of other options isn’t surprising. That said, most places in Sorrento were expensive to eat out, so the mark up wasn’t unreasonable but overall felt expensive.

The view is already worth the trip up the windy, narrow road! The free shuttle service is really nice to have. Breakfast was great, with lots of variety, and fruit. Loved having the pool with quite a few lounges to relax. Staff were wonderful, even offering a free room upgrade upon arrival and giving us all necessary information. Also some really good (much less expensive) tours were offered to either Capri or Amalfi. Sadly couldn’t make use of them due to limited time but next time for sure!

It was a bit difficult to know which bus was the hotel shuttle. On one bus there was the name of the hotel clearly written on the side, but in other cases it was a small (crumpled) sign out either on the door or on the dashboard which was hard to see. We missed the shuttle upon arrival because we didn’t know that we had to look so closely for the hotel name. It would also be nice to have the shuttle run at least once between 12 and 3 pm but we managed ok with the public bus otherwise :)

Liked the location as it gave the most amazing views. The staff were exceptional. The staff at reception were most helpful but throughout the Hotel the staff were genuinely nice, cheery and obliging. The Hotel was very clean. Brilliant air-con. Breakfast was great too, lots of fresh fruit which was lovely. The excursions the hotel at reception offered were very good :) Regular buses into Town provided by the Hotel were great as I wouldn’t recommend walking. We had an amazing holiday here. Thankyou everyone :)

Up in the hills looking down on Sorrento and across the bay to Mount Vesuvius. Hotel provided a good shuttle service to Sorrento for 4 hotels. Never full but we weren’t in high season which might be a little trickier. Great views, balcony, bar, breakfast and I’m sure you could be book dinner if you wanted. Also had parking, we left our car there and hired a scooter for the Amalfi/Positano coastline. Just stunning and much easier for getting around and parking. Although advisable to use paid parking. Lovely pool with plenty of beds.

Just one issue with bedside socket, no light or power and never fixed.

Standard of the room was excellent , bed and room was comfortable and very clean. The views from the hotel were amazing- the payback for this was that the hotel was up on a hill but there was a regular shuttle service provided. As it was a special anniversary trip we were given one ( if not the) best rooms in the hotel so thankyou to the staff. Tarek gets a special mention for his polite attentiveness. I also liked the retro charm of the hotel , far removed from the bland, corporate decor I'm used to seeing, with some lovely old oil painting depicting the local life and history of the area A great stay - thank you, Vue D'or!

Some elements of the cooked breakfast. Plus a small design flaw with the shower, the release valve for the hand shower was directly behind the turn lever for the overhead shower and if you didn't turn the shower lever to one side to make sure the 2 way valve was pulled out fully, you get a direct cold blast on your torso from the hand shower which was positioned into the center not yet warmed up!
