We upgraded to a sea view suite and it was defiantly worth it - we basically overlooked the beach. The room was nice and big with an extra large bed and sofa etc but the view was amazing, we were so close to the sea! The staff were extremely friendly Breakfast was a well stocked buffet in a lovely dining room with the option to sit on the balcony We had lunch one day in the garden and it was delicious The beach area was relaxed and not too busy

Nothing - the hotel did not serve dinner but there are plenty of places around to get dinner - I believe this is why the hotel is only given 3 stars...it should be at least 4 star

The Aurora is an exceptional hotel. The staff, the decor, the location, the rooms, the linens, the bathroom accessories....it is all top notch, first class. This is the hotel that is the model for how to operate and maintain a hotel. Clean, well-appointed, and tastefully decorated.

This lovely hotel has up to date facilities but still maintains a traditional feel. It has many interesting and thoughtful touches such as the shell display and the gardens are beautiful. We loved the beach area right in front of the hotel and the location is perfect right next to the old hill town and plenty of restaurants. A comprehensive choice at breakfast enhanced the overall appeal. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and we hope to return.

A heated towel rail in the bathroom would have been useful.

The staff were friendly. I also loved that they had a gym with free weights and a good selection of equipment. It’s sometimes so difficult to find. Breakfast selection was great too!

The room wasn’t really replenished well, we had only one towel and couldn’t be bothered to ask for another to be fair. Also the gym equipment was a old and rusty. Overall it felt a bit pricey for what you get.

A beautiful hotel in every respect. The photos do not do it justice and we could not fault the hotel in any way. Perfect location right by the sea with its own private beach, beautiful room, characterful hotel set in wonderful gardens, attentive friendly service and spotlessly clean. We will definitely return.

Thé Aurora is a stunningly beautiful building, you won’t believe the courtyard garden, location is perfect, right across the plaza from walking into the unique, lovely lanes of old town Sperlonga . The hotel is right on the beach. Immaculately clean. The staff very friendly, and food excellent . Everything is wonderful about this hotel, truly. You’ll be happy you stayed here.

Nothing to not like

This is a pretty, quaint family run hotel on the beach and next to restaurants and bars and ice cream shops. The old town looks down on the piazza next to it. It has a garden courtyard where you can have drinks or delicious lunch which leads off the bar area. You can step through from courtyard to piazza and sea view. Breakfast is served inside or out on the shaded terrace overlooking the beach. Terrace tables are for 2 only so it’s quiet. The breakfast choice is excellent with homemade cakes by the owner. The complimentary good quality beach loungers and parasols are a step away. The bedroom was fresh and light and well appointed with a bedside socket and more at the dressing table. there’s a mini fridge and full length mirror in room.. The staff are so friendly and accommodating.

Bathroom is small but with adequate limited toiletry selection. The basin drainage was foul smelling. It didn’t get much better even after I reported it. I shouldn’t have had to because the cleaners could not have missed the smell.

Beautiful boutique hotel right on the beach. Loved the allocated sunbed system - no towels out at dawn at this hotel. Lovely bar with great bartender

Lack of air conditioning- we were told it didn’t go on until 28th June - our room had a fan and balcony doors but it was still very hot.

Awesome breakfast, right on the beach, very friendly staff. Check out was easy and quick, free parking in the premises is very convenient.

If you can, avoid lunch at the hotel restaurant - it is pricy and the food is not good. I stayed in a room with a terrace, and although the outside area is pleasant, it is facing a whole common area where other guests can use, so it is not very private.

The location couldn’t be better and the rooms were absolutely charming and immaculate. The decor of the common spaces was wonderful, airy and artistic. The staff was wonderful! An afternoon beverage on the terrace facing the sea was not to be missed! I just wished I could have stayed longer!!!
