This hotel has a classy, old-world style, with a beautiful courtyard where you can have breakfast. The breakfast selection was enormous; the largest I've ever seen in Italy, and included scrambled eggs, countless cakes, and fresh fruit. I've only seen a buffet like this in big-city, 5-star hotels! Note that just down the street is the beginning of a long series of motorized walkways, which can take you far up the hill - all the way to the Duomo!

The only thing I can think of - and this may be petty - is that they refused to let me pay before the morning of my departure! (I was concerned about missing my train, and wished to do it early.)

It's a very quirky, step back in time, delightful hotel. This was our 5th hotel in Umbria and by far the best breakfast. Room was v clean, comfy and beautifully decorated. Whoever painted the walls with a trompe loiel (excuse spelling) effect did so brilliantly.

The staff. Apart from the lady on check out, all the other staff need to go on a course on how to make the place welcoming to guests with a smile and a buongiorno. It's not rocket science. Guests also need to be aware that the hotel is inside the city walls and you drive down a v steep one way street. Park outside, go and tell them you're here and they'll open the door to the underground car park for you just 10m further on. Spoleto is v hilly.

Lovely hotel with attractive lounge area. Room was comfortable with a large bathroom and small balcony. Good bed and quality linens. Superb breakfast and very helpful staff. Easy parking as well. Nice garden area in warmer weather. Recommended! , .

Some people might find it a little out of the way but we like to walk. There is a great and unusual escalator system to take you right to the top of this hilly town. It is close to the hotel. . .

Everything, good breakfast, attention to detail, staff friendly and professional. Comfortable, personalised, individual, understated in a good way. Classy without showing off. One of m all time favourite hotel experiences. Would stay again.

I think the hotel could have had slightly better and up to date with information about the local area, and surrounding countryside and local towns. Especially in getting around, taxis, public transport etc.

Comfortable bed, quiet air con, separate bathroom- so perfect night’s sleep. Excellent breakfast with coffee freshly made and brought to the table by staff ( no queuing for coffee machines). All staff wanting to help. Excellent location within a few yards of the travellator that goes up the steep hill to the Duomo at the top of the city. This hotel is a gem

This is a very pleasant hotel. It gives you a good feeling for the town of Spoleto. It's near the entrance to the moving walkways that can take you up to the higher regions of Spoleto. The staff at the hotel was very helpful, sending us one night to a restaurant that was among the very best we encountered on our vacation.

Good location, and much appreciated on-site parking. Good breakfast with many options.

This is the only hotel that has ever charged us a 10 euro fee for using a debit card to pay for our stay. On this trip alone, we stayed at four other hotels, none of which charged this fee. Not a big fee, but we were not happy with this in principle.

The property is a lovely Villa hotel with good sized rooms and bathrooms. The breakfast was nice and had good offerings. The staff was very friendly and Sergio was an excellent attendant at the desk and oversaw the bar. In the afternoon he gave recommendations for Italian cocktails to try and made them for us. We appreciate the friendly atmosphere of the hotel.

A tastefully decorated hotel with comfortable sitting room. The mated birds in the antique cage provided a special touch. An outstanding breakfast with so many options plus a courtyard view with floor to ceiling windows provided beauty and peacefulness. The location was perfect and easy to access the town's many treasures

This is a very pleasant hotel with a very pretty court yard for drinks etc. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast was good and the hotel had nice sitting room with bar. It is 8 mins walk to town centre but only for the aerobically fit as its uphill. There is an escalator that goes up to town 3 mins from hotel. A very relaxing hotel to stay in and would stay again.

As said above it may not be ideal if you have serious mobility issues because of location.
