We loved the spa area and the indoor pool was quite nice. Comfortable room with a pretty balcony view of the lake. We had a car so the distance from town didn't matter.

Outdoor pool closed at 7pm (sunset in July was 9:15) and they make sure you know the chairs next to the pool must be paid for. Thus, the pool was almost always empty since it was either closed or people sat on the free loungers farther away. Why have a pool if you don't want people to use it? The indoor pool at the spa was open until 11pm on Saturday night so we used that instead. Some vegetarian options onsite would have been nice, as some of us don't like to "eat flesh" as the menu says at the Meat Eat restaurant ;-)

Excellent base to visit the lakes and Milan, loved the parking arrangements right in front of the entrance to the room. The personnel lovely and helpful. Lots of great places to eat around Vareze and around. DId not try the restaurant in the hotel - Thought would try the authentic (and much cheaper) nearby places and did not regret. We had outstanding meals the 3 nights we stayed - Bologna restaurant in Vareze expecially recommended. The room is clean, well appointed and nicely decorated. The mattress is on the hard side which I personally loved.

It was not the idylic country hotel I imagined - the road nearby is quite noisy, even at night (if you sleep with an open window as we did - no waking up to the birds singing. Not impressed with the breakfast - had to eat it with lots of flies flying around and landing on us and the food (some sort of electronic fly catcher would probably be a good idea), the selection of food will not leave one hungry for sure but nothing special to report.

Nice location with spa, pool and restaurant short distance from Lago Varese - in between Lago Maggiore and Lago Como. Hotel looks freshly renovated with parking in front of the rooms for the standard rooms and covered garage parking for the rooms with sea-view. Breakfast with 12 EUR p.p. well worth it. Nice spa included, in pre-season eventually no time-slot restrictions, which otherwise you would have to book upon arrival.

Varese itself was a less interesting place, but actually not so important - enough places to visit nearby.

The facilities were very nice and we enjoyed spending time in the spa and around the pool. The service was very good and all the important contacts had an acceptable level of English.

Reaching the surrounding area by foot is not very convenient as there are no sidewalks for pedestrians, especially towards Varese. Many little things carried additional costs with them. For example a chair next to the pool would require an extra payment. This was not nicely communicated but the personnel would need to walk to you and inform you about it. Generally this was not extremely unpleasant but it felt awkward.

The Spa is really nice, and the bedroom was big and had a beautiful view of the lake.

You need a car to move. The city centre is far away and you can't walk there. We couldn't find the bus so a taxi was always the only option to move...15€ each trip. Monday everything is closed in Italy so we really struggled to get food.

The personal at the hotel very friendly. You can park the car in the front of the hotel, going to the room. On the other side theres a door to go to reception, brakfast room and the wellness in the underground floor. Brrakfast was delicous, fresh croissants, eggs, a lot of meat, coffee from the machine or from the bartender, without a extra price, juice everything. I can recommend the hotel for a night, really great. The beds have a hard matress, but for me it was confortable. I slept so deep until I heard a bird singing in the morning.

The wellness area is not what we thought. Indoor pool too cold water, sauna you need a reservation, only 15min. Then the steam bath was closed because of covid reasons. In the sauna no water or smell that you can put in. Maybe would be good, each hour to put a smell into the water. 20Euros per Person, I would not book it again.

Facilities were great. Pools and spa was fantastic with nice clean areas to relax.

I’m 50/50 on this as some of the staff were great although some were shocking. We were left to wait more than 30 mins to get a drink, food was over an hour to arrive. The nachos were really bad!!!!

How clean it was, exceptionally good! Comfortable room with Jacuzzi bath was great. Private covered parking. Relax areas, spa and indoor swiming pool very nice and spa kit.

Lack of breakfast selection, both hot and cold areas could be better for the price.

fabulous on site steak restaurant - delicious steaks and great service lovely garden / pool area, decent gym few minutes walk to Lago Varese (can hire bikes at the lake and do a 28km round trip) good size rooms with motel style parking friendly staff

outdoor pool wasn’t open despite temperatures approaching 30 - not open until June apparently which wasn’t per the details on booking alternative is small spa pool but no good for cooling off and 30€pp
