Palace Grand Hotel Varese is one of the best hotels we ever been, the hotel room was very cosy, clean and comfortable. Pets friendly, just the dining area could be better prepared for the guests with the dogs. The breakfast was very good, also the hotel bar and restaurant were exceptional! Live music during the dinner made every night very special. The garden and swimming pool area were amazing, very relaxing and exclusive.Free parking space for every guest. The hotel&restaurant staff were very profesional and friendly. Very unique place!definitely worth to visit! We already planning the next stay at Palace Grand Hotel Varese!

Pleasant and helpful reception staff. Lovely swimming pool area. Good breakfast. Room was pleasant and quiet. I would particularly commend the drivers of the shuttle bus who were kind and friendly.

Some of the waiting staff at dinner were a little rude and abrasive; for example not giving out menus but expecting us to use smartphones to scan them, pouring out cork with the wine and questioning the need to replace the glass, before doing so with bad attitude. It would also be a good idea to ask people to shower before entering the swimming pool to keep standards of hygiene high.

The hotel is a charming and very nice place. We had a room with lake view. You really feel like entering an old palace. The breakfast was great. The food was very fresh (e.g. croissants were freshly baked). I recommend to visit the restaurant in the hotel garden (you have to make a reservation due to high demand). During our visit they had live music (opera singer) and it felt like a real dining experience. The dinner was very tasty.

Nothing in particular. We arrived by car. Probably a bit difficult walking up and down the hill to visit the city of Varese but on the positive side it was really quiet.

The hotel is located on a hill so it's a long and winding private road before you get there. Its locations makes you feel far away from the city although it's really close to the city center. The idea is that you get the feeling that you're in a luxury hotel 100 years ago. The staff do a great job, they are formal but very kind and accommodating. The room we had was super spacious and the view from the room was spectacular. Its price range is a bit above what we usually pay for a hotel, but it's excellent value for money. The restaurant was very expensive but the portions were decent (not as small as you often get in an expensive place) and the food and service were super good. We did not use the pool but it looked very nice!

Breakfast was good but not exceptional. Some of the seats are a little too close to the buffet.

Fantastic historical building in an incredible location. The new 25m swimming pool is great also for people like me who really want to swim lanes, I was able to complete my trainings no problem. We had a room at the fourth floor with a stunning view over the lake, just like from the breakfast room. The breakfast itself was fantastic, lots of healthy choices, warm and cold options. Sure one of the best I've ever had. Staff was always friendly and helpful.  There are different parking lots on the premises so if you don't find a spot at the first obvious one, ask at the reception. Staying at this hotel was a treat, sure worth the price you pay (we paid around €220 per night for a family room).

There is an EV charging station, but unfortunately they charge a €20 flat fee regardless of how much you actually charge. Not worth it if you only have a hybrid vehicle. Cons of historical building: there is only one small elevator, we only used it when we had our luggage because it took so long. The rooms could use some renovations.

The location is a real oasis in town. The garden is so beautiful (I enjoyed a lot to walk with my dog around), the pool is big and has a great spot, the bar beside it is great, the open air restaurant is fantastic (food was delicious), the room is big and comfy, super dark in the night and the air con made a huge difference during hot days. Breakfast was really well served. We loved to be back at the hotel after a day exploring around. The service is super kind. I would absolutely go back!

The doors are a bit noisy & if the “neighbors” are loud you can listen everything.

This is a fabulous traditional Italian hotel, regal and exuberant decor with a personal touch. Lovely friendly staff, fantastic food in grand surroundings. We had a superb corner room with two sets of floor to ceiling balcony doors, lots of light, commanding views across the local area, including a sliver of lake and views on up to the mountains. The room was well furnished with super comfortable beds and crisp white linen.

We couldn't access the swimming pool at 12am on the checkout day despite the weather was excellent. It seems that "access is prohibited on the checkout day for security reasons"... As I was complaining, considering that paying more than 500€ for a 2 nights stay was a reason enough to have the right to access the swimming pool, i was told to address an email to the manager... Day 1: rain, Day 2: Idiot reason. A joke....

I asked to change the very small room I received first and received a nice one, a 4*hotel worth, with view on trees tops in the main room and the town from the big window of the big bathroom. very good dinner in the restaurant of the hotel. pleasant service there. there is a bar and when I was there many people, wo one could find company, if in right spirit. Taxi to the airport was not expensive and right level of car/driver.

hotel is difficult to reach on foot, but has all you need inside, you will be satisfied if you don’t choose a small room as I did first.

the room was big and the hotel itself is really maintained for an historical place. the location is on a hill and the view is amazing. but the most wonderful thing is the front desk staff. they are amazing group of people that made our stay so wonderful (and we stayed or a long time). they are smiling and helping and making you feel so great! big plus- they have an electric charger for the car, and also down the hill you can find 2 more at the Porsche dealer. the hotel have lots of attractive activities and the garden is SO nice! next year they will be done with the pool so for now we had great time on the beach with the best advice giving by the front desk (thank s Cloudia and the rest!)

we loved everything but i do have 2 points that i would like to mention. this is a place you can bring dogs too, so keep this in mind if you don't like dogs or the smell of dogs (especially in the 3 floor). usually the hotel is not crowded- but when it is the electric pole needs to be maintained my the front desk so that more than one guest can use it. maybe via valet parking? breakfast- nice but not grand. we eat for 2 weeks the same...one point to pay attention too is the staff in the breakfast room- they need to be more active and direct the guests to the right table (1 person should not take a 4 person table) especially when the hotel is full.
