The hotel's location is very close to the ropeway. The public onsen has temperature varied pools and a sauna. There was a library space, laundry facility and a small convenience store that sells snacks, drinks, souvenirs. Prior to arriving, I communicated with the staff by messaging them and they were responsive and helpful.

There is a public bus that you can take from Asahikawa station, but with a very limited schedule. The last one leaves from the station at 2pm. The hotel helped me to pre-arrange a taxi from the station. The dinner is pretty much the same across the two nights I was staying. It's buffet style with a main course served to the table. For the buffet, I wish they could have labeled it better. I don't eat meat and alcohol, but I didn't know whether there was meat in the dishes or alcohol unless I could clearly see them and it was hard to communicate with the staff who couldn't converse in English.

My whole family loved this Japanese onsen hotel! It is not as traditional as a Japanese ryokan, but the accommodations were superb. The four of us (four adults) stayed in a Maisonette room, which was huge with two levels. Very comfortable beds, very quiet, and comfortable seating area in the middle. The bathroom was spacious as well, and included a huge bathtub for those who don't want to use the hotel onsen. Everything looked new and was extremely clean, and the decor was tasteful and soothing. They provide high-quality pajamas, bathing robes, teas, etc. The hotel onsen was very large and modern, very clean, and uncrowded. I would have liked the water to be a little hotter, though. We had our meals included in our rate, and enjoyed the variety and quality of food available in the buffet restaurant. And the location at the base of the Asahidake Ropeway was very convenient -- an easy five minute walk to the Ropeway. And believe me, when you spend the day climbing Mt. Asahidake (which is a pretty challenging but awesome climb), you will be grateful that you are so close to your hotel, where you can soothe your aching muscles in the onsen! The staff at the hotel was excellent and friendly, too. We would love to come back for a longer visit next time!

We pretty much liked everything! Just be forewarned that there isn't much around in the area - just a few other small hostels/inns. And coming by car is a must.

Excellent and helpful staff and the location is perfect for hiking and going up the ropeway. The meals were varied and abundant. I loved hanging out in the comfortable library when it was too hot to be outside. Easy to arrive on a bus from Asahikawa airport if you can arrive before 4pm. Otherwise you have to hire an expensive taxi like I did. But the hotel was very helpful in arranging a taxi for me.

Sadly one of the reasons I booked here was because of the onsen but it was a BIG disappointment. They wouldn't allow you to be outside (because they said hikers could see you (as if I care!!) and it was way too lit up to enjoy it.

Room was spacious, clean and liked the variation of pillows offered and amenities including onsen. Allocated second floor where view was hindered by grills. Great sleep. Great location .. walking distance to the Asahidake ropeway.

Food at restaurant could have been better. Hotel advertisement highlighted the set meal with steak for dinner which was included in the room package. Sorry to say the steak was most underwhelming as it was very miniature. I am comparing it with another onsen hotel in Hokkaido which cost less per night.

Big rooms! Very close to the ropeway station. The beds are nice and comfy too and there’s a big TV and comfy coach to relax on in the evening. The public bath in the hotel is nice too.

There’s no air conditioning so it’s strangely hot in this hotel (in June). For some reason, the heaters in the hallways were actually blasting full heat! The only way to cool down is to keep the windows in the room open at all times. You can also ask for an electric fan. The half-board was okay too, but there’s very little variety in the food given.

Breakfast buffet and dinner buffet are good. Hotel facilities are exceptional. I would like to specially thanks hotel staff Mr Maekawa Hisashi for giving his helping hand when our car were stranded in snow storm and unable to move during our late check in day. He came and pick us up personally in the wee hours of 4am in the morning and arrange car tow to bring our car back to hotel later in that morning. Special compliment to Mr Maekawa Hisashi. Other staff are also freindly.

My fiancee feel that the bed is abit hard. And i would like to specifically point out a male staff by the name of Fukuoka who did not allow us to change our seating during dinner time on 28th Dec. He claimed that the seats has reservation. We ignore as we do not think there are any reservation required for the seating. I feel Mr Fuluoka was bias towards us and not sincere in the seating arrangement. The other female staff who on duty with him is helpful and allowed us to change our seats.

The breakfast and dinner buffet was delicious. The hotel provides facial wash, facial lotion sachets and face masks in addition to the usual amenities so we didn't need to use our own amenities when staying here. Love the spacious room which has a living room area and 2 large wardrobes.

Although the hotel provides free use of their washing machines, they did not have any dryers in their laundry room.

The room was big and comfortable with a lounge area. There was lots of light from the windows and a view onto the forest beyond the road. I felt very comfortable in the hotel and in the restaurant, where there were plenty of foods I wanted to eat. There were convenient laundry facilities and lots of hangers in the room cupboard. The library was a nice place to hang out and look at the picture books. The people working there seemed happy.

Nothing- I really enjoyed visiting Daisetsuzan

I had a very relaxing time at this hotel! Beautiful modern rooms with great views; very good food; very helpful staff who helped me plan the next steps of my trip. The onsen had several pools and was generally quiet.

While the dinner food was very good, the starters could be changed more often. But that’s really a minor comment as the food was very good.

Our rooms were amazing - so big and a large modern bathroom. Buffet breakfast and dinner were fantastic, dinner is a main course cooked for you which compliments the buffet. The night we were there it was steak and it was cooked beautifully. The onsen was great. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We loved our stay and hope to come back. Location is amazing - walking distance to the ropeway

Nothing. Everything was brilliant.
