A really nice hostel conveniently located a few minutes away from Kanazawa Station. The staff were helpful, and the facilities were very good. There are things such as snacks and amenities available for purchase at low prices. The beds have lots of storage space for your belongings and offer a good level of privacy. I never had any issues with noise and slept well for the duration of my stay.
Only 2 things: 1) the walls in the female shower room were very mouldy. 2) there is no social vibe whatsoever. If you are a solo traveller hoping to make friends on your travels, this is not the place to do it.

The communal area is quite large and I specially like the design of their bed. It's not the usual bunker bed. The bed type I choose is very spacious and the bedsheet are clean and comfy. I strongly recommend the bed type i choose. The hostel is 3 minutes' walk from the train station and you can actually see the train station from the window of the hostel. I also like the fact that the hostel is very quiet. Wifi runs well and stable.
1) No elevator. The hostel is on the 3rd floor. 2) Would be good if you can get a lock for the door, considering the fact that the receptionist is not in most of the time. It's not very safe when literally everyone can come in the hostel and the room.

plenty of space and nice and light. Beds are comfy and towels are provided.
1. The women’s dorm is super noisy and light comes in from the other “pods” because the space above the beds is open. This results in sound travelling easily from one pod to another and light coming in, making it difficult to get good sleep. 2. Maybe put up signs to keep people from noisily eating in their bed at night and packing up their bag at 5 in the morning for 30 minutes … 3. no real kitchen provided but a fridge and free drinks.

Really well laid out, bathroom was fully stocked with everything you needed and there was a stash of pot noodles/drinks to take from in reception. One of the nicest hostels I've been to in a while. I liked that you could stand up in the little bed nook. There was plenty of space for storing luggage too. Female dorm has a code lock to access.
Probably needs a lick of paint but overall it was clean and comfortable. The bed was the softest thing I've ever slept on. Dorm could be a little bright at times, just light leaking in from the corridor or other people's bedside lamps.

It's a very good value. The bed was comfortable, and it was nice that I had a lot of vertical space in my bunk (I was in the women's section). I liked that the women's section had some extra security. I'm guessing I would have felt less comfortable in the mixed section. I loved the big windows in the hallway/seating area.
No elevator. There's no great area to congregate like there are at other hostels. Based on the bed layout, you do have to climb into bed, which wasn't a problem for me, but could be for others.

Location is great! Never meet the staff though, I received proper service and guidance to check in and out by myself! The room is quite spacious compared to other hostels. Facilities are good even during rush hour in the morning. Overall definitely a good place to stay for solo tourism!
The mattress was too soft for me, also the comforter was too short to cover a >165cm person like me. Cleanliness of public space highly depends on guests and occasionally it was not good in the bathroom.

It’s a 3-5 minute walk from the station which is amazing. It isn’t right by a lot of the main tourist sites in Kanazawa but nothing is more than a 30 minute walk away and I think it’s better to walk less with your bags as there is no metro. They have such friendly and helpful staff and a really helpful map of the local area on the wall with food recommendations, laundry, shops - anything you could want. I are at two of the places recommended and it was amazing both times! The pods are spacious and the facilities are great - really really good value for money here.
Nothing!

The location is great, located right beside JR Kanazawa station. There is a wall map which shares useful information for travellers staying here.
The bed was comfortable, but there is a lack of ventilation in the capsule. I stayed during winter and slept with the blanket on as the capsule was still cool. However during the night, I got warm and woke up drenched in sweat. This can simply be avoided by not using the blanket at all, but I never had such problems in other hostels as there was ventilation in the capsule. However, the hostel is still great to stay in once I simply chose not to sleep with a blanket.

Comfy bed, Easy-to-access location very near to the central station, I was left a note on how to check in because I arrived after the staff had left. Many signs indicating how to conduct yourself in the property. Decent space. It was a very nice surprise that there was a common kitchen area (fridge, coffee machine, tea service, glasses and cutlery) available to be used by the guests, this was very handy.
The sweat smell in the beds area was a tad bit too strong, so perhaps there could be a better ventilation system.

One of the best hostels I've ever stayed in in my life. I found the bed super comfortable and I managed to get a great night's sleep. I don't know why, but my bed had a high ceiling and it made the bed look bigger
the locker next to the bed had a broken lock and the hostel staff tried to fix it in an improvised way and it didn't work. More than once I didn't find any of the staff at the hostel, I found that a little strange
